Busted prop shaft on Amazon boat—buy new boat? Or try to fix?

Bought an Altair brushless 3s boat for pennies, broke the prop shaft after 15 minutes. LOVE the boat, but no customer support, no parts.

Try to Frankenstein repair? Or get a new boat?

If new boat, what is brushless, RTR, self righting, and under $400 (preferably under $200)?

Motor Size for Scale

I’ve inherited this 29.5 inch long by 7.3/4 inch wide fibreglass sailboat hull my grandfather made 40 years ago, it’s feels close to 7-10lbs in weight. I’m looking to essentially resto mod this hull. I was hoping someone might have some suggestions for motors that might give this thing a realistic scale speed as I have virtually no experience with RC boats. On top of the hull is the motor and driveshaft for scale, I believe this came out of a dish washer. Any help would be appreciated.

Flying Fish 1: RC Foiling Demonstrator

It's here! A hydrofoil RC demonstrator with smooth control. This version is 1.6m long and 22kg to represent a perfect 1:10 design for larger workboats. We've posted a sneak peek of this design before and we're curious to hear your opinions. If enough people like it, we may make a DYI kit or semi DYI set out of it! Let us know with a comment.

JUST GOT MY FIRST RC BOAT! :D

It is a Proboat (shreddy) recoil 2 26"! :) I have been wanting one for a couple of years now and since I am moving closer to the river I decided it is finaly time to get one! I Got it Second hand for $300aud with a navy paint job. It has Brand new watercooling tubes, motor and esc (because the old ones sustained Saltwater damage). It has an Upgraded propeller, upgraded remote and reciever, new trim tabs and a new battery! The prop shaft looks like it has been greased too! The steering is verry squeaky and there is a random nut in the hull, I hope it's not important :P I am super happy! It feels powerfull! I can't wait to take it out on the water this weekend!!!!

Brushless KV rating

Is there any way of finding a brushless motor kv when there's no markings on the motor casing?

Upgrade transmitter for Recoil V2 26?

Hey all, we have a couple of Proboat Recoil V2 26" which have performed well for us. My biggest complaint is the range is limited to about 100-150", which is pretty small on a big lake. As such, I'm considering ways to increase range. Other performance enhancements associated with this upgrade would be icing on the cake but not necessarily my primary objective.

I see that the Radiolink RC6 claims to get about 1900' of range. Would that transmitter work well with this boat or would I lose features like self righting (which we use pretty often as we run in choppy water)? Am I better off upgrading just the receiver from the stock SLR300 to something like SR315 or would that not be a meaningful improvement? Delta in cost between these two options is negligible.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Deerc 2008 propeller help

I'm having a tough time figuring out what type of spare propeller to buy for this boat. 1 of the 2 supplied props has already met its demise. Anyone have experience with this?

Hello friend

I really need help with my project

We are designing an Rc small boat that will be used in a competition. And I am having hard time finding which propeller design, motors, esc and other electronics to use in our boat

I hope somebody can help me, I would prefer to be contacted privately so I can send all details about the competition and our intended boat design

thanks

Looking for info

I have in my possession from pure happenstance what appears to be a red and white two stroke rc boat motor. I was able to deduce it to be a fuji seahorse 19, I'm having a lot of trouble finding information on it and hoping one of you could give me some insight, it appears to be watercooled as there's a rubber pipe running down towards the prop with what I assume is a discharge pipe right next to it, I'm pretty mechanically savvy but this is absolutely not my expertise.
