Hey guys, I'm working on a project where a motorless glider drops from a rig and uses the RTH function to land. Unfortunately I cannot get it to work and I'm thinking it's due to it having no motor. Does anyone have suggestions or experience on how to get a motorless glider to use RTH?
With practice my dreams of hovering have finally come true! With the occasional smack or 2 on the ground but thats all part of learning! One day I'll have some of those Jace Dussia moves i see on youtube!
I used to watch my grandfather fly RC models in the 90s, and at one point built a big balsa glider with him but have never actually flown myself.
I’ve just received the RealFlight sim with a controller.
Here is where I am stuck. I’ve read the wiki here, and watched a few videos and remember from back then, that a high wing trainer is the way to go.
I will be buying a Habu STS and shelving it (in case prices go up in the US soon), but I am unsure of what route I want to go for my high wing.
On one hand I like the STOL and the Carbon Cub trainers.
On the other hand I am wondering what the difference between the Carbon Cub S trainer, and the much larger Carbon Z Cub that is the next skill level up as listed on Horizon? Are they that much different that I should stick with the S if I choose the tail dragger route?
Also I am having trouble determining if I can buy one of them RTF and one BTF and use the same transmitter for both? Or am I better off with BTF for both and a better stand alone purchase for a transmitter?
Thanks!
My local hobby shop has folding props for a 3mm shaft but nothing larger. Any suggestions for sources? Ontario Canada but US is fine

After a year with my Carbon Cub, I'm excited and scared to try out my new Arrows T-28! Speed, power, retracts and flaps. If I only I can bring it home in one piece.
Something under like $60
Hi, i am a beginner and i got this cool rc jet from Amazon for only 26 euros or something like that. It doesnt really fly that good. Im still having fun but i am now searching for a good Beginner RC jet under 100 euros. Does anyone have Recomendations?
Just finished binding my new 400mm P-51D "Miss Helen" to my radio, and I have to say, this little warbird flies incredibly well! The handling is smooth, it's surprisingly stable for its size, and it looks amazing in the air.
I was a bit skeptical about how it would perform at this scale, but it exceeded my expectations. Rolls are crisp, loops are tight, and it tracks beautifully. Definitely a fun addition to my RC fleet!
Anyone else flying one of these micro Mustangs? Would love to hear your experiences or any tuning tips!
In general, there were quite a lot of crashes, as a result, now I definitely can’t understand whether the wings and stabilizer are sitting evenly relative to the fuselage. I mean, maybe they are installed a little diagonally. Therefore, the flight is already jerky, and in some places there is even a stall on the wing. Or is there no way to fix it, and it’s easier to buy a new KIT?
Greetings!
With the advent of those tariffs on Chinese imports, it seems that the hobby is about to get more expensive, since virtually everything in this hobby is made there (batteries, foamies, and lots more).
Also, the plans to end the de minimis tariff exception (goods valued less than 800 dollars) will surely affect the hobby as well. Luckily I got my 2 QT Models 70 mm T-45 Goshawks a month before.
Let's see what happens. Happy flying, everyone!
I'm running out of space any hopefully wanna find a way to hang them off the roof. any advice?
The K-Mart Chuck Glider ( KCG ) is superior to the Lidl Chuck Glider ( LCG ) .
The foam is better, the design is better, the build quality is better and the actual flying, out of the box, is a better experience.
So help me I will die on this hill !
:- )
PS. Post your chuck gliders ! ( make new threads to really get your point across !!!! !
I bought this for 50$ and it has a 4 ft wingspan the electronics are like 15 years old so they didn’t really work so I’m trying to figure out the best way to rebuild this plane I don’t think I would be able to do the programming for the split motors like how it was originally on each wing with fans and I’m probably going to use props instead just don’t k ow if I should use a motor on each wing or just one on the nose and use a Ruder for both options
Question in title
It seems like every single time I tell someone I fly planes or a stranger sees me flying they ask if I fly drones. Many people also call my planes drones.
Maybe the government was onto something grouping planes and drones together lol
