What is this little black nob called.
Can anyone give me a valid reason why there aren’t more Asian race car drivers??
Found this hat second hand. Anybody recognize the signature?
NASCAR season will be over soon and I need something to watch during the off-season. What are the most chaotic non endurance races from the Rolex Sports Cars Series and the American Le Mans Series? By non endurance, I mean nothing more than 4 hours
Hi,
I'm currently doing a project in which I analyse two turns on a particular track (undisclosed). Since I only have access to these two turns (Turns 1 and 2), the scope of my project is to find out what makes the 'optimal turn' in this stretch of track. I don't have much of an F1 knowledge so I thought this would be a good challenge to tackle.
So far I have access to features such as 'key moments' which let me know at which points of the stretch certain events happened (for example, a driver may brake for the first time at point X 200 metres between turns 1 and 2). I also have 'info moments' which let me know things like the distance of the car from the edge of the tracks (left and right), car position using xy coordinates, the amount of braking and throttling that occurred and such.
I've been trying to 'think outside the box' with this project. I've considered adding a 'drift' variable, which I will create using factors such as the steering wheel and car position when exiting a turn, just to see if it has an impact on reducing the time taken to navigate that turn.
Aside from this, I'm struggling to link factors together to reveal insights about what could make a good turn. There are obvious things like the position in which a driver brakes and seeing whether that influences turn time, but I want to hear from the community here about observations you've made that may be a bit more unique and niche when it comes to influencing a car's time during a turn.
Oh and we don't have access to driver information so personal statistics about the driver themselves can't be used (e.g. driver weight, height).
Thanks!
I’m considering a carbon fiber driveshaft. The short list is Q1A or FastShafts. The FastShafts is about $300 cheaper. I’ll admit the Q1A looks, better from the photos I’ve seen. Is there a reason to avoid either brand?
We have a short film coming out soon, we are a pair of Deaf racers racing in Lucky Dog endurance Racing League. Basically out to prove to the world that Deaf people can race cars! Here’s the trailer!
Hello, people have read. I had this question and I thought that there is no better place to ask it than here. Where and how can I get announcements about GT racing and FIA stuff?
I am looking to get a new helmet and wonder if this is a good one to get mine is around 7 years old and beat up or is there something better at the same price point that has tear offs also for that helmet what tear offs are compatible with it the helmet is $230
I’m running a TT this weekend and I use Falken RT660 tires. I know they are not supposed to get below 40 degrees, but It ended up getting below freezing last night. Should I be worried?
I've been training my neck for a while (a few months), and was wondering how my neck strength compares to that of an F1 racers (the pros). I'm currently training with 110 lbs, and hope to eventually get it to 150 lbs to lower my risk of injuries.
Was watching the jackie chan racing movie thunderbolt. What kind of racing is the final race like for example formula cads race in f1 to 4
I bought new set of rotors DBA 5000 T3, (floating rotors) and paired them with ebc rp1 pads. I have rbf600 fluid (around 1,5y old) and braided brake lines. Car is 370z. Did the bedding in procedure, all good. Rotors have 300km, all works perfectly.
Today i went to a track day and did several very powerful brakings, but also did a cool down lap. And on that first stint, my pedal got soft. Ok, fluid will change.... But stopping in the paddock, the brakes were smoking a bit. I immediately rushed out and did a few km outside, cca 80-90kmh to cool the brakes down. Worked well, they were cool. But then i checked paint markings, all changed colors, indicating rotors exceeded 630°C.
And that was one short stint. So later when i drove, i was very gentle, all good...but i feel slight judder around 120kmh, and when i brake, the steering wheel shakes a bit.
Did i really manage to ruin completely new rotors in ONE stint?
Thanks for your answers.

The wait is over—time to hit the track! The 3rd round of the Turkey Motorcycle Circuit Championship is about to kick off, and I’m ready to race my Yamaha R25 at full throttle. Each round has been a battle, and I’m pushing for that podium once again!
Follow along as I aim to make my mark on the track with speed, skill, and dedication. Thank you to everyone supporting and joining me on this journey!
Why can Indy cars and nascars hold their top speed for SO long without blowing up? What’s different about the engines?
What are the specialities about them?
Why could an f1 car currently not do the same?
Would a lot have the be changed in order to compete?
Hypothetically. How would an F1 car do in the Indy 500. Would it be able to keep up?
I'm a enthusiast about racing anything you name it I'm interested in it. Regarding were to live for that I'm clueless. I started out with drag racing and asked for a passenger seat for a few runs and of course I'm hooked on it and wanting to drive my own cars to different events with a different vehicle. Although that drag strip is there I'm wanting a more of a variety area to live from my interests.
This list is categorized ranging from interest level starting with highest then least interest:
Race Track Circut(High) -> Drifting Track -> Drag Strip -> Dirt Track -> Oval Track(least)
Any information on what town to go to for those events that would be amazing and how many hours it takes to drive there would help! In the US
