I have a 1.5t 2018 accord for my daily. I want to get into track driving and was interested in a used gr86 for about 23k. Honda is paid off.
Would u sell and buy used Toyota or just use the Honda for my beginner track trial period
How much would a Jeff Gordon Budweiser vintage jacket be worth? Has his name embroidered on it also
Snapped this picture a few years back when they used it for parking for the fair. Billboards give it away.
I drive a 91 miata with a 95 1.8l and when I'm taking tight turns fast I understeer alot mid turn. I guess the best example would be on a square turn, I'll come in, stomp the brakes and get down to 2nd, and then I'll turn in. And right around here is where it understeers. The front will whip in the direction I pointed it in and then I basically just push the front through the turn and then whip the back around to rotate. And I'm wondering is this faster than keeping traction in all 4 tires or slower or is it just wrong? Also I'm the type that's ok at math, and then when you make me do physics with it I overthink it and get lost.
Here's a little diagram incase my descriptions suck. ○○○: brakes, ---: understeer, |||: oversteer, and then the solid line is no over or understeer.
I‘m 19 and even though I have watched multiple racing sports for years, I only recently started thinking about racing myself. Obviously I‘m aware that I won‘t make it into F1 or any of the elite disciplines but I do want to start racing something. Is it possible for me, even at 19 years old? And what are my options for entry, is karting the only option? I‘m interested in all types of racing, but I don‘t think endurance is for me. & I’m based in Germany if that helps.
I am 14 and living in the UK, I am a bit lost right now on what my ambitions are regarding racing. I do rental karting but don’t have the funding for british formula 4, and my chances of f1 are gone anyway. Are there any alternative routes I could take, I understand this is a naive question but i’m really lost at the moment. Any advice will be appreciated.
I’ve been searching forums and can’t find any good answers/articles so here I am. When on track, how much does oil temp affect water temp? Is you’re running around 220F water, 270F oil on track, would installing on oil cooler (in a perfect world) that drops oil temp consistently 20 degrees also drop water temp consistently by at least a few degrees? Or is there no real correlation between the two? I’m asking for general info but my track car is a turbo NB Miata.

Saw posts by my teacher who drag raced there during final day of the track.
Which has a higher barrier of entry - offroad or drag?
A buddy and I were talking about both options and we'd like some reddit help to settle the debate.
If you have the mechanical acumen to do all the work yourself, and the price of the base vehicle is the same - which is more expensive to start in, And then continue in? Drag racing or offroad rock crawling/trail driving?
Hi, are there any racing series that allow for cars to be powered by a different engine that they originally had, either another engine built by the same manufacturer or one made by a different manufacturer?
Make the fastest cars, with no safety rules, on real track, controlled remotely by drivers on a sim setup. I'd watch that over computers racing computers any day
Watching James Baldwins onboard from Saudi Arabia, and I’ve noticed on his car plus a few other random GT onboards I’ve seen from other races they randomly have these dots on the windshield. Is it just bad placement of tear offs? Is it somehow sensors of some kind? This has always subtly bothered me and I need answers 😂 thanks anyone!
