I am promoting a music festival in June in Put-in-Bay and am looking for some suggestions for a nonprofit to make a donation to. I like no kill pet shelters, but will look at other nonprofits in the area. Thanks in advance.
What are some must see icons in Put in Bay?
We love the place and tend to avoid the drunken parties. We live the atmosphere though, the island aspect, the campgrounds, the carts, the tiny school..beautiful homes. All of it. But our main concern is what the winters are really like for the locals. There is like one post online which reads as if the island goes into lock down mode and you will starve if you don't have a freezer full of food. I'm dou ting the validity of thag and was curious what people who really live there think.
Also, are there local places thag aren't as popular as tourist areas to shop for day to day stuff?
I'm headed up to PIB with my family for a few days and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for good fishing spots on the island
I wanted to start a thread of all the”fun” or funny times at PIB. We go every Labor day and there is at least one take away story.
We are hoping for a takeout option somewhere near or on the island. Any suggestions?
Long shot, but does anyone happen to know anywhere that has karaoke on Tuesdays or Wednesdays? I'm making a trip there in 2 weeks.
Hi! I'm trying to find a good bike rental place that offers 'faster' bikes, mountain/race bikes and such. I couldn't find any on google maps, so if not then best cruisers maybe? Thanks!
I’m headed to put in bay this weekend, but someone just mentioned to me it might be a terrible time to go because of the previous Christmas in July chaos? Has that continued on that weekend each year or will this be a fine time to visit? Thank you!
My friends and I are visiting from Chicago and we’re planning on going to the sand bar but I can’t find the prices anywhere online. How much is it and what all is included in the price? And what else is there to do on the island for about 8 hours (including the sand bar)??? We’re planning on taking the ferry then renting a golf cart
I have booked a trip in PIB in a couple weeks. I am wondering what the best places to go to party/have a good meal are. We are all under 21 but have fakes, so I was wondering how we can have fun and work around these road blocks. Any recommendations; restaurants, easy going bars, party destinations etc, are appreciated.
Hey everyone! I am planning on doing a day trip with my family soon. We ahve two dogs and are trying to decide if its worth it to bring them. I tried researching this but decided to ask the experts (thats you guys!).
Do you know of any dog friendly places to do activities? Have you brought your dog? If so, would you do it again?
So I want to work somewhere different this summer and not in my hometown and found The Boardwalk Family of Restaurants in coolworks.com. Has anyone worked there and could give me honest feedback on what its like to work there. I want to be a server but am scared that because of covid there wont be as many people going out to eat and visiting. Also what is the pay like? Do you make good money? Any feedback would be awesome!!
Have a group of guys going to Spring Fling in a week and was curious if the crowds would be the same as years past.
We are visiting in 2 weekends for a bachelor party. Unfortunately we were unable to rebook. Just wanted to know what is open !
Please tell me some good news!
Is it possible to charter a boat (8 guys) for a few hours to cruise around? Ideally with a captain? I see there are fishing charters but do we necessarily have to fish? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
I had read somewhere that a good portion of the businesses have a $10 limit when using credit cards on the island. I was curious to know if that is true? If so, should I bring more cash? That seems counterintuitive considering the virus stuff goin' on. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Why doesn’t downtown just block off the Main Street and allow people to hang out in the street and maybe put some tables or large tents where people actually can social distance? How do they expect visitors to social distance inside some of these bars? Are they at least letting people “take their drinks to go”? Anyone else have any other ideas that Put-in-Bay could follow the rules while also letting visitors enjoy themselves if they are looking for some nightlife?
Are bars and restaurants enforcing social distancing? Checking temps? Staff wearing masks?
Hi all! I’ll be staying on the island with some girlfriends 4th of July, we are getting there Thursday. I’ve never been, I’ve looked up a lot and we will be mostly drinking and partying but I am having a hard time finding other events like pool parties or activities to do. I’m a planner and I am trying to make a loose itinerary for the weekend, any tips or info would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, we are coming from Cincinnati area
thinking of heading to PIB with some of the fellas 8/22 weekend. thoughts on what will be open? pools? bars? pools with bars?
Bringing a friend up this weekend, it's his first time. I used to go a lot, but haven't been there in years. The reviews for the golf cart rental places are mixed. Any thoughts on the best deal? We are taking the Jet in the morning, and trying to leave before the last Jet at night. We have a hotel in Port Clinton. Just looking for some advice on where to go to rent, and how to get there from the Jet Express port. Thanks in advance!
Hello all, I was wondering if anybody has ever used a fake id at put in bay or knows anybody that has and would like to share the results. Asking for a relative
