This ain't no Punk 101.

This is PUNK ROCK, mean and dirty!

So keep your starter-kit punk bands out of here. And take your corporate sell-out punk bands somewhere else, chump! This is the real shit.

what countries have the most punks?

in my opinion my home country Poland looks good, we have pretty big punk community and scene, it was especially big when the comunism was a thing in Poland and shortly after it ended, it was the biggest moment when the ideology of being free, f**king the police and goverment was a big thing and it stayed, we have many punks and big punk scene in poland and i love it.

New generation of Punk

I'm only barely old enough to remember whenever Green day released American Idiot but I sure hope this next administration of the US inspires a whole new generation of punk rock bands who make music for the people who are fed up with the government. it's obvious social media doesn't help our causes so let's get back to our roots. Let music define our culture.

I need examples

I have a concept for a song I wanna write from the opposite perspective. Like in "I say no! To Authority" by screeching weasel he says "I like my policeman he rules my world with guilt and fear" like pretty much saying something is good and giving reason why it isn't. I'm looking for more examples of that for inspiration for a song

What's the consensus and requirements to be a successful independent punk musician nowadays

What do I need to write about? I've got some punk-ish kinda satire tunes about masochism and divorce and abusive romantic relationships, but outside of that, what can I write about?

Klovis Gaynor - BABY PINK SPLIFFS

new queer punk rock coming from NYC. provocative, raw, loud, groundbreaking. https://open.spotify.com/track/6PR1JLfFiF69FZ5yzSTPbC?si=26a238718fc64bab

LADYGUNN MAGAZINE wrote "Perhaps they’re trying to make GG Allin blush from beyond the grave? Klovis Gaynor & The Urinal Cakes is undoubtedly a provocative project, but one full of vision and intent rather than random, chaotic animosity. Klovis lashes out in queer fury and with aggressively scatological queerness in the most unabashed way possible....everyone involved was bringing their A-game to recording every single time, delivering something that is first and foremost MEMORABLE, perhaps the most unapologetic group of songs that you’ll ever listen to in your life."

First video by Brazilian punk band Texuga

"Jorge Peter Punk" is a song by Texuga about a guy who wants so bad to be punk but is actually a privileged loser who has a very shallow understanding of what punk really is

Why do people hate the Sex Pistols?

I see in other subreddits how much hate falls on this band, in my opinion they made one of the best punk albums in history, there are even people who say it is not punk, I started listening It's been over a year now, and I really like the sound, but what's the reason for the hate (I'm just asking, don't kill me)
