I struggled in both real missions and Academy's engineering training. It's always overheating and shuts down! :(
Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)
I am new to the game and I play it with one or two other guys so duo/trio which roles are the most important to pick?
Someone have tried the game on Steam deck Oled?
Hey everyone, I was wondering if it was possible in the AI tweaks to make the AI pilot bot to get closer to enemy ships when engaging. He always distances 3 or 4kms when engaging and that makes the main turret only dealing 180 or so dmg, but when I pilot the ship and get closer (0.8-1.5km) the gun deals at least 400dmg.
I don't want to pilot during fights. Is there a way to tell the bot move closer when engaging ? Thanks !
we found an unnamed keycard, that says it leads to a raider hideout on cornelia station.
we searched for 20 minutes, throughout every sector of the station, and we could not find it, even with 4 people searching.
anyone know where this door is?
so, I just got the game from a friend and started doing doing the academy.
go through the classes, and do the tests.
I got all the tests, i.e. engineering, weapons, science, and pilot done and I wanted to do the captains section.
the screen says to sit down and press start to start the hailing tutorial, so I do that. i sit down, press start, and.. nothing
nothing happens when you press start in the captain's section of the academy. the hailing tutorial just doesn't work?. or am I missing something?
Is this game still receiving updates? Will there be any new content or a sequel? Have the devs made any other games with the same kind of cooperation?
I like to play crafty/basebuilding games with my kids 8/12yr old. We are finishing up valheim and thinking about our next coop game and i wanted to try something more space/sci fi themed. Their gaming skills are passible but not great, valhiem easy mode is about all they can handle.
I have looked online but info is slim compared to other titles, answers/advice to help me seeould pulsar be a good game for a gamer dad and some kidswould be appreciated.
Is there difficulty scaling? How easy do the ranges go?
Is building pretty straightforward? Looking for simple like valheim not sim building like space engineers.
Are the survival mechanics punishing? Constantly fighting death by thirst/hunger bats gets old after the initial game phase.
Does coop reward teamwork? Im not just looking to have fun, i want my kids to learn teamwork skills as well.
Game looks very cool, looking forward to reading yalls thoughts!
Does anyone know if it works? I know robots get the bonuses from eating biscuits but they don't get the health from food.
but if a friend eats an AOE biscuit i'm curious if the heal AOE would apply.
It seems like I can never find a lobby/ game to join Whenever I open one nobody joins. What can I do?
If so, why not set all systems to max until the reactor starts heating? It sounds like, until enough power is used to cause heating, setting the sliders less than maximum has only downsides (limiting scanning, etc.) and no upsides.
Playing single player. Don't really know the game yet. I reached level 2 and all the bots got two talent points but I (captain) have none. Is that suppose to happen? Tried reloading the game, didn't fix it.

As my crew have played, we've noticed our inventory (in our characters and in our lockers) has been inconsistent. That being said, so has the characters we've played. Here are our examples:
Example A: A recent play through as sci officer I had more items on my inventory then before. The person who played the sci officer prior, and was playing a different specialty, complained they didn't have the inventory the ended last session with.
Question A: will your inventory transfer to a different player of they play the specialty you previously played? Or should you expect your inventory to transfer regardless of the specialty you play?
Example B: Worried because of question A, I put all my items in my locker. Weapons, repair gun +2, ammo, food, including the scanner (I also wanted to test if I would load in with "starting gear"if I had no inventory). My next play through I have two additional items in my inventory (grenade launcher, repair gun(where did those come from?)). In my locker I only have ammo and food. All the other stuff was gone from my locker. I was able to see some of my items in the captain's locker and the person playing the pilot commented on having a scanner and how much in the GUI changed (they ended the previous session with no scanner). So it seemed my locker inventory transferred to other lockers/inventory.
Question B: wtf is going on with the lockers?
Any advice or direction will result in me praising you and singing your name in the fields.
Video might have spoilers to game as we are playing it but yeah funny haha that's it goodbye
Team flies into a fight. We get all fisty cuff, and at the end of the flight we lose maneuverability.
Will maneuverability come back as we repair terminals in the ship? Or is there something we need to do to repair specific sections/parts of the ship when we are 'dead in the water'?
I've been playing with a group of friends for a while now and we're relatively far along in the game but we have reached a point where we no longer get offered research options.
We've had the same two options for probably 100+ jumps and both need and both need vortosites.
We can't find any extra vortosites (I swear there are only 2 in the galaxy!) and no new options are offered. There are some skills that we'd still like to unlock.
Is this a bug or is the Research intended to stop when you reach a certain level? I couldn't find anything that confirmed this.
On an unrelated note, is there a way to mod our save file and give ourselves Vortosites to progress the research options currently suggested? We have so much of everything else!
Are there any similar games that require multiple people to work complex - semi complex systems to operate a vehicle.
I already play barotrauma and pulsar and I'm looking for similar games.
I just started the game again after like 3 years and have forgot absolutely everything!
The tutorial is pretty ugh.
I'm a geek for having a handle on the indepth mechanics ... Science confusing as shit. Weapons... Ya point and shoot but uhhh what's the difference between physical and energy? Virus mini game... Nani!?
I don’t see them in the same place all the other component upgrades are. Can they not be upgraded or something?
Playing scientist, I have no idea how the probes work and I don't see any kind of tutorials online, there's an XP gain bonus thing even for probes but I have no idea how to use them in the first place so I've been avoiding picking up the talent. Any help?
