Hello! Any drag shows on Friday November 15th or a drag brunch on Monday November 18th?
If a person wanted to hire a boat to take them and a few friends to and from Boy Beach, is that something that could be done?
TLDR as this is a long one. “I’ve experienced discrimination in many forms for over 40 yrs in MA & Ptown is no exception” I hadn’t planned on sharing this experience, but after my wife shared her perspective and was met with insults such as c…t and accusations that we 'deserved' this treatment, I felt it was important to speak up. Three weeks ago, I faced a type of discrimination that isn’t protected by law—and the irony is that it came from a group that claims to fight for equal rights for all people. My wife and I were in Provincetown and decided to make a purchase at Toys of Eros. At checkout, I thought I was asked if we wanted to donate to the Kamala Harris campaign, but my wife clarified it for me. A portion of the sale proceeds would be donated. I indicated that I don’t care what they do with the proceeds; as it is theirs to spend however they wish. I just wasn’t interested in donating to any political campaign. The cashier, "M," then sarcastically asked if I would like to donate to the Donald Trump campaign. I declined again but added that if I had to choose, I'd lean toward Trump. That is all it took for this privileged dreadlock-wearing, blonde woman to use her support for a black female presidential candidate as a cover for her discrimination against a black man. At that moment, the cashier took the item we wanted to buy, placed it on the other side of the counter, and repeatedly motioned for us to leave. I was stunned—the irony of this happening in a place that claims to support equality was not lost on me. My wife was both shocked and angry, as I was, but remained quiet. Instantly past memories of being dehumanized flooded back. I asked her why—was it because I’m Black, or because I said “I’d lean towards Trump? She replied, “There’s a sign on the door that explains everything” and continued to gesture towards the door. We left peacefully because I know all too well how it turns out when a white woman calls the police on a black man. The sign, which idk how we missed it, would’ve been funny if it wasn’t so hate-filled. It might as well have said “Whites Only” or “We don’t bake cakes for ____”. The lack of self-awareness is astounding Believe me when I tell you this was no different than when I was spat on for being black or immigrant, called a racial slur by a State Trooper or beaten and arrested on Christmas Eve. As a woman whom I admire once said, “When they go low, we go high.” We then walked to Fanizzis restaurant. Where we were served the best meal I’ve ever eaten on Cape Cod. The service was excellent and staff extremely friendly & welcoming. During the walk to Fanizzi’s I reflected on my past experiences, I recalled how, when we first immigrated to America in 1970’s, I faced racism as an 8-year-old, it was the first year students were bussed from Roxbury to South Boston. I remember adults throwing rocks, yelling slurs, and making it clear we weren’t welcome. In the 1980s, while living in Somerville the racism escalated from name-calling and fights to people breaking our windows. By the 1990s, it reached confrontations with law enforcement, including beatings and arrests based on trumped-up charges. Now, in 2024, it seems that mere association or perceived association is enough to justify discrimination. I did not vote for Trump in 2016 or 2020 for my own reasons, but I do plan to vote for him this time. I believe my military service has earned me that right—something that not everyone can say. I do not support any boycotts or similar actions; I am sharing this in the hopes that it can be a teachable moment. Do with this story what you want, but every word is true; Toys of Eros, your security cameras will confirm this.
Hoping to get a sight of literally just one whale. I am a broke college student.
I’m heading to ptown for the first time summer of 2025, I’m so excited. I’m 36, male. I’m thinking of attending the third weekend of June, it’s a non theme weekend between the film weekend and Portuguese weekend. I am into shopping, dancing, swimming, the beach. Do you think that weekend will be empty as it’s non themed?
Appreciate your input!
Just found out that the town decided to take away free parking last minute. While we can make it work, suddenly having to add $100 to park for the weekend is genuinely painful. If any residents have an extra spot we can leave our car in we would appreciate it. Happy to pay something to you instead of the town.
While paying for parking is generally fine, it seems really underhanded of the town to change the rules so last minute like this.
Switch/vers Interested in meeting Daddies and Doms and other CD's as well for play and stimulating conversation. Probably spend a full week since I will be coming from west coast.
I’m looking for a venue for a 40th birthday party in the first week of December in Ptown for around 50 people. You know, drinking dancing, etc. Any suggestions?
Might not have time for both. If you had the choice of walking to the Race Point Lighthouse from the parking lot area at the beach or hiking out to Long Point Light Station, which would you do?
Hey! My husband and I are coming from Philly to Provincetown town with the pup this Saturday-Monday. I’m excited to check it out. So what should we see/do? We are coffee snobs, foodies, walkers, we like to really get into the vibe of wherever we are. All suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!
I (33f) would love to bring my fiance (30f) to Provincetown next year. She has never been. I visited once years ago but it was during off season so it wasn't very lively. We'd like to go when the weather is nice to be outside, things to do, but not big/ annoying crowds. Any recs for hotels and restaurants would be great too!
Does anyone know which places the Pub Crawl will visit and if there is a charge and if so how much?

So, today I experienced a type of discrimination that is not yet protected by law. The ironic part is that it was projected on me and my husband by a group that has been fighting for equal rights for all people. We attempted to make a purchase at the Toys of Eros in Provincetown. At checkout, we were asked if we wanted a percentage of the proceeds to go to the Kamala Harris campaign. My husband declined, but was then asked if he would like to donate to Trump. Again, he declined but said if he had to choose, he would donate to Trump. The cashier then placed the item we wished to purchase under the counter, and gestured us to the door. O was flabbergasted that this type of bigotry existed in a community that exhibits itself as all welcoming to all people. I was furious , not only because of this blatant hypocrisy, but also because I saw the pain in my black, immigrant husband eyes, reliving the despicable treatment that we thought was long gone. I might also mention that he is a disabled veteran of the Iraqi war… and deserves so much more than the way these scumbag lowlife hypocrites treated him. MAGA!
The PWHL women’s hockey team, newly named the BOSTON FLEET, has several players appearing in Ptown today, at 3:00pm! They’re there to help promote the team’s new brand (I definitely recommend checking out their website), the upcoming season schedule, and to interact with fans that are attending Women’s Week. If you have any sports fans in town, please spread word; this should be a fun event!
I’m a 23 year old gay male and have been to Provincetown a couple of times with my friends and thoroughly enjoyed it. I am technically my sister’s maid of honor and am in charge of planning her bachelorette party. My sister is bisexual and we grew up going to pride together and other queer events.
I instantly thought of Provincetown as the perfect bachelorette weekend location for her. I was thinking of staying in an Airbnb in Truro and going out once or twice in Provincetown with the group of 7 girls.
However, once I began my research I quickly realized there is a lot of discourse surrounding bachelorette parties in p-town and them invading queer safe spaces. As a gay man myself, I’m a little bit embarrassed that I didn’t think of that as a potential issue. While my sister is LGBTQ+ herself, she is marrying a straight man.
I’m still in the beginning stages of planning the trip, and am honestly thinking of scrapping the idea of Provincetown entirely.
I’m just wondering what y’all think and what you’d do in my situation.
The Lobster Pot 12x16 oil on canvas
My autistic brain is obsessed with things that glow, and the Lobster Pot at night with all those neon lights… 😍 oh, sooo much glow! 😍 I hope you enjoy my interpretation, and thanks for looking!
Hi All,
I'm trying to organize a dinner in town for about 60 people next June. I have inquiries in with C&A to rent out the pool and outdoor bar, and I've emailed the fine folks at The Mews to see if they can accommodate.
I'm wondering if anyone else has some good suggestions for unique spots where a bunch of sailors can congregate and have a buffet style dinner with bar or cocktail service. Bonus points for a place that would have a weather contingency.
Cheers
Anyone have a ticket to this show, but not able to go...and would like to sell it? Please FB Message me. Thank you!!

When I saw this couple sharing an umbrella on a drizzly Provincetown night, I was struck by the heartwarming intimacy of the scene and wanted to capture that moment in this painting.
Good day fair Provincetowners. I live in a very tourist town (Salem MA) that is inundated currently. We spend a week every summer out in the North Truro/Provincetown area with family. For the first time my wife and I are visiting next weekend for our first fall trip, staying in a condo on Commercial Street. I have two very specific questions.
Is there someplace we can catch the 9:30 AM Patriots London game on TV over breakfast/brunch on 10/20? We have to be out of our accommodations by 10.
We plan to take the 5-ish Boston Harbor Cruises ferry back that afternoon. Any idea if there’s somewhere to store luggage between 10 AM and 5PM? The one service I found seems unavailable that day. I know Bay State Cruises offers storage, but their landing spot in Boston doesn’t really work for us.
Help?
I’m a 50s trans woman headed to Ptown for the first time, hoping to experience Women’s Week. I’ve driven cross country from WA and can’t wait to get there! I’ve been sleeping in my minivan and hope to continue to do so during my visit ($ is tight). Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated for this late-blooming newbie!!😃
