Hoping someone can provide current insights into a couple of things.
Student is not really into the party scene. Will they still feel connected socially or does everything revolve around parties etc
Not catholic. They’ve looked at curriculum and are OK bc much of it seems like a historical perspective (rather than trying to convert to Catholicism)
Learning supports? Has anyone used accommodations &/or student success center programs (coaching etc) & can speak to that.
Thanks!

I was wondering if it’s possible to park on weekends on the campus? My sister wants me to visit and stay over on some weekends and I wouldn’t mind paying- just wondering how to go about that.
Hi everyone! Awhile ago I posted under this thread to ask a few questions about PC. Yesterday, I toured it and am unsure of how I feel about it. The campus is definitely beautiful & everyone was incredibly kind. However, I’m really worried about the size. I don’t want college to feel like a repeat of highschool. My current highschool classes have about 34-40 kids to a class. Having a 12:1 ratio is a tad concerning. I like that it allows you a chance to get close to profs, but am worried I will feel lonely/ not be able to find my “people”. How did you know PC was right for you/ what solidified your decision? Also on average how many profs are in the business school? How do y’all like the dorms and dining (I’m vegetarian)? Any other info on what you like most about PC would be very helpful!
Thank you!!
I have turned in my CSS form late and now I am being told I am being put on a financial aid waitlist. The office of financial aid was not very helpful in answering my questions on how it works and when I will be able to access aid. If any of you guys have experienced this please let me know how it went for you personally. Thanks
I am a muslim incoming freshman student and when visiting pc, I did not come across kosher or halal dining options and was wondering if they are any. Any help would be appreciated.
There seems to be multiple answers when you look it up
Basically the title. I couldn’t find the syllabus anywhere online. Can someone please dm me the syllabus and how you found the course? I am a transfer and have basic introduction to programming. However, the description is pretty broad and am not able to figure out anything more about the course. Thanks in advance!
Hi all! I am visiting PC this summer and was wondering if anyone who went there/ currently goes there has any insight. I am getting fear mongered with student reviews…lol. I won’t truly know how it’ll be until I see it in person, however, is the area safe? I am reading a lot of bad things about it & am concerned. I want to know how true this is, granted not everywhere is perfect, & “bad” areas exist practically everywhere. How “bad” are the “bad” areas? I am also not strong in the Catholic faith(but also not opposed), as I am seemingly magnetized to private, Catholic colleges, but was wondering how intense it really is? I am interested in the business program as well. This also may be very niche, but does anyone know if they still have a sailing team? Anywho, if any one has any anecdotes or snippets of advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hello all, same price I’m between Providence College and Ohio State. Both Pre-Med. Thoughts?
Hi all -
Was accepted to PC EA. Test Score optional. I have a 1000 SAT and pretty decent grades. High honors
I am a natural pessimist. I am wondering if my HS has adequately prepared me for the rigor of the school? More than half of the kids in my senior class get high honors and average GPA is 3.5 at my high school. Given what looks like grade inflation, Will I be able to keep up academically?
Hey I thought I was fully committed to Providence College. but all of the sudden I just got off the waitlist at Villanova and now I don't know what to do. Both would be expensive, but Providence gave me 23K in merit a year, while I assume Villanova would cost close to full price. My major at PC would be quantitative economics, but at Villanova I got into Civil Engineering. What do y'all think, PC is closer to home, but I know Villanova is more elite
Hi!! I absolutely LOVE PC and could really see myself going here. I got accepted EA and got honors college/good $ and PC has great networking for my major.
One concern - I’ve heard terrible things about the city of Providence. Is it really THAT unsafe? I don’t want to attend a college where I have to spend 4 years worrying about what will happen to me if I step off campus. This question is coming from a girl keep in mind.
If PC was in a college town I would 100% be committed already but the fact that it’s in a city with such a bad reputation really scares me away from it. I grew up in a suburb 2 hours north of NYC and although I adore NYC/cities in general, I really hate the feeling of having to guard myself/watch my back at all times. The stuff I’ve heard about Providence makes it seem even worse than NYC, too and I don’t want to be somewhere that makes me unhappy.
Can any current or past students share how bad the city really is or if it’s fine to live in? And if the city really is unsafe, did that hinder your experience at PC at all?

Hey! Does anyone know when admission decisions are being released this year?
Hello- seriously considering the HM&P major at PC. Can anyone give some feedback - good, bad and ugly? If not in the major yourself, what have you heard or seen from others? Thanks!
Anyone remember that glorious truck? I graduated ‘96.
Anybody need a place to live off campus for spring semester 2025? JWU student asking here. The place is located directly south of PC. Walkable distance.
Has any International applied to PC? Those whose results were already released, have you been accepted?
Hi - Will be attending Providence in 2024, Does anyone have insight on the best male freshman dorm for someone that wants to meet as many people as possible, etc. Are Triples the better route than doubles?
Thx
