SS United States getting new props in Drydock. Portsmouth, VA 1952 Pics from: Our Yard History: Docking the Liner SS United States, by Marcus Robbins
This propeller clock has been in my family as long as I can remember. I'm sure I've heard the story of where it came from when I was younger, but I don't recall it anymore. Since my father passed away (I inherited the clock from him) I cannot ask him anymore.
Does anyone recognise what aircraft this could have come off of? There is a number on the propeller "29916" if that might mean anything?
Thanks for the help!
Just an after hours shot of props waiting to be overhauled.
