Due to this subreddit being underused, outdated and we have a new name, we have moved to the new one. Here is the link to it! https://www.reddit.com/r/patchgaming
We're going to be giving away two games on each video for bit, until we run out of keys. All you have to do is post a comment suggesting an alternate title to join. First video is linked here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8EBJdTjnyw
I've been playing this game a bunch and if anyone would like to play, I'd be happy to play (either seriously or just messing around).
This Thursday at 8:00pm EST, I am planning on hosting a Mario Kart 8 room for people here at Project Patch! The room will run from 8 to 10. Of course, multiple people are required to make the room fun, so if at least 5 people are up for it, the event can happen! There will be a Discord chat room for the event. Let me know here if you are interested, along with your Nintendo Network ID. Thanks!
We started it a bit ago, and have full and shortened events on it. Of course you can join these events if you want.

We also need 100 subs in order to get a custom url, and make it much easier to find. Better than that UCiJT thing up there, and if you enjoy editing videos, please feel free to message me as we always need more editors.
So, yeah... It sucks.
Project Patch Listeners
Listeners respond to those suffering with any disorder or hardship. They are caring, mature, trustworthy, friendly, inviting, and helpful. Listeners set an example by looking to solve a problem, and minimise negative confrontation within the community. It is a Listener's job to listen, understand, and Identify the problems of the person(s) they’re helping and provide solutions and support through psychologically proven methods. Listeners may be called into ineedtotalk on the main PP server and are expected to do so. Listeners can, and are encouraged, to work together to help one another if it is necessary or assistance is needed. Information of the person(s) a listener is actively helping should only be shared with other listeners in listener only chats BY PERMISSION of the said person(s). It is highly encouraged that if a listener is to help someone that they keep it to private messaging for the privacy of the person(s) in need. Above all, listeners are to make Project Patch a fun and safe environment for people.
And as a side note. It's ok for a listener to need a listener themselves sometime. :D
We are currently looking for more listener volunteers, especially those in Australian time zones, if you are interested, please PM me through Steam, reddit, or Discord (kwakkevin), and I can provide more details.

If you have visited this subreddit lately, you probably have noticed that the activity is almost nonexistent. But Project Patch as a community is still up and kicking, and here's why.
At a glance of this subreddit, Project Patch is no longer active, but this is not because Project Patch as a community is dead, but because the majority of Project Patch users are not avid redditors. Currently, most, if not all, of active users hang out on our Discord server, where you can find people to chat or play games with. We also have an active team of listeners available, in case you need to talk about your issues at hand, ranging from mental illness to life struggles.
Whether you need to talk about your issues, looking to play some games with new people, or just want a place to say hi and have a chat, I highly suggest that you check our Discord server. Discord has web browser platform, so you do not need to install anything.
TL;DR - We are still alive over at our Discord server. Please check it out before you dismiss it!
In a couple days, on the 3rd to be exact, we are doing a question and answer stream. You can attend and ask us anything you want to know in person, or you can send a question in for us to answer, and then post on youtube. Use the link here to send in a question. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1R7cNaKoT31we0vQvRryg9WAs6G-CTgqMfjrvoS6YQu0/viewform?usp=send_form
Mainly I've been playing BLOPS3, Rocket League, and Binding if Isaac!
I am looking to start a Project Patch Racing League and I need to know who is interested. Please fill out this form and I will let you know if there are enough people interested in starting it.

We would be playing Race Injection. http://store.steampowered.com/app/44680/
I'm gonna be hosting games on thursday night, be there or be square.
To join the festivities, add me ingame (TheTofu) or join the chat lobby we have setup (projectpatch).
This is gonna be a weekly thing so if you miss it there's always next week. Well, maybe not next week because christmas... or the week after because new years... I dunno, if I'm around on those days I'll host some games.
Starting in about 2 hours from now. Hop in the voice channel for Rocket League, and lets party https://discord.gg/0X1B9skZ7gVzxkY4
On the 28th at 4pm central, we are doing an event in the game Air Brawl. If you don't have the game, dont worry, we are giving out keys! The giveaway is done now. Sorry
We will answer all questions tonight at 12am PST on the stream. http://goo.gl/forms/Z7MkoKkHdd Here is the stream link: http://www.twitch.tv/projectpatch
Terrible at online gaming. As in, I'm so far out of the loop that if I try and play Halo I end up crouching and shooting straight up as I inch backwards. It's actually pretty funny. Totally into tabletop stuff like Settlers, Carcassonne, Magic, Cribbage, you get the idea.
I decided to post because I have PTSD and have a tendency to isolate myself, and I thought it would be cool to find out if there are games similar to those I listed but online that I could get into with some other not-shitty people such as yourselves. Any ideas?
Danke gamevolken. (not actually german)
Hello there, cool that I came upon this sub.
In the past few years specifically, I have found online gaming to be a major contributor to my anxiety. Playing online with others...of course sometimes it's great fun, but sometimes it's the worst thing ever. It's no surprise that not everyone in online games is nice to others. People can be really mean, and I hate people trash talking or being rude toward me specifically. And I hate that feeling when I've let my team down...and feel like they all hate me. I try not to let these things get to me, but they cut through me like a knife and make me feel just awful :( - even long after I've been away from the game (i exit out of the game if I start to feel really anxious). I love video games, so it's hard for me to just quit all online gaming to spare myself the anxiety and anxiety attacks. After-all, I have anxiety in social situations, but that doesn't mean I should just stay home all day to avoid social life. Single player games give me zero anxiety, I could limit myself to those...but multiplayer has some great aspects to it. Also could just play with friends, but I have very few, and most of them I never would have meet if I wasn't online gaming in the first place, online gaming not a bad way to meet new people.
Anyone here have similar problems when gaming online? Any suggestions would be great. Anxiety sucks so bad :(
Hello everyone,
This is Bunny on the Project Patch Discord, and I have some really exciting news to share with you all. Project Patch will be participating in Extra Life 2015 this year!
As you all know, Project Patch's mission is to create a community for people suffering various mental illnesses. Well, children are also victims to a lot of the same struggles we are going through and Extra Life provides a great outlet for us to get out and help through gaming.
So what's going on you ask? On Saturday, November 7th, 2015; we will have a lovely assortment of streamers available to entertain you all throughout the day from midnight to midnight (PST), all followed up by a Town Hall session for everyone to socialize and celebrate a job well done since we are doing our part to make a difference!
How you can help? Every little bit you can donate helps, however, many of us are having varying degrees of financial problems so if you can't give money just give your time and watch the streams and get to know the streamers. We'll have special channels available for all the viewers to hang out and talk about the streams if they so choose.
I'll post the schedule in the comments once it is finalized!
If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions please ask here or poke me on discord.
<3 Bunny

SCHEDULE: TBA on the 6th
I'm Skibbles, um, I came from the /r/depression area, and I figured I would say Hi, and maybe someone who is familiar with this sub could help me out on what this sub does and ETC ETC.
I've told people about the forum, but we haven't had a real post about it yet. Where, here it is. http://projectpatchgaming.org/forum/index.php
So, I found out about you guys on Imgur a few months ago, but didn't join because I was too busy, but I remembered this subreddit and now decided to join!
My steam name is BanchoSauce, and I've been playing video games for as long as I can remember. I've played a lot of games in my time, but definitely not all of them. Right now I've been playing Mass Effect-again-, and Skyrim for my Youtube channel that I started in August. I've been getting bored with the single player games, and I'd love to play some games with you fine folks. I'm open to everything and I'd love to have lots of conversations with everyone! I'll join the steam group, and maybe we can play some games?
Hey people! Mrkiwiism or EthanSnoke on Discord. Halo 5 has just been released! I of course bought the limited edition Xbox One and everything, but I haven't played Xbox since Halo Reach :(. That means I have no friends on my friends list to play with other than my step brother. Pretty much if you have a xbox one and a mic (or not) add me @ MrKiwiism. I am playing a lot of breakout (comp) & warzone (casual). I am always just waiting for Forge to be released since that's the reason I bought it.
TL;DR: Add me on xbone MrKiwiism so we can have fun on Halo 5.
EDIT: I gotta add everyone soon, probably after school, but I wasn't online today.
We haven't forgotten you guys and we have been working really hard on many projects.
Love ya'll
Just wanted to leave a message to see if anyone else played ESO? I play on the PS4, and I'm not sure if it's cross platform or not! (probably isn't)
Either way, leave your info here if anyone wants to play!
I've noticed a lot of people on the subreddit and steam group complain about how anti-social, inactive and empty-feeling Project Patch is. So I'm here to show you that it isn't any of those things, and how you can get more involved in the active Project Patch community.
Who am I? I'm GunnerWolf, one of the moderators in Project Patch and the guy in charge of the soon-to-be-live Project Patch website (with forums!)
Other than that, I'm an average british 19 year old with OCD and a passion for games.
Firstly, let's address the most obvious issue: Reddit is inactive. This subreddit receives 1-2 posts on a typical day, usually at least one of those is a moderator announcing an event.
But why is this?
The short answer is: Most of the community aren't avid users of reddit, myself included.
Project Patch began as a reddit based community due to the founder (captainbuckket)'s love for reddit, however reddit is inherently disorganized and a pretty poor way to manage a community. Currently the active portion of the community (around 200-300 people) are based on Discord (link to join can be found in the sidebar) and the plan is to use the forum as a central "hub" for the community rather than reddit (once it's live).
"But I just wanna talk about my issues and play games, where can I do that?"
As I said, the absolute best place to find active community members is Discord, we have a looking to play channel to find other people to play games with, and 2 separate channels for people who want to talk about mental illnesses or even just the everyday struggle of life.
Current established game communities within Project Patch:
Left 4 Dead 2 - A community member by the name of Kitty runs a few rounds of vs mode on L4D2 almost every day.
EVE Online - We have a small, yet semi-active corporation in EVE, run by yours truly, and we're looking for more people to join so we can plan some awesome events!
Guild Wars 2 - This has effectively become the primary MMORPG of Project Patch, we have an active guild and weekly events on the Fort Aspenwood server, run by Sinjin and Mocap
TERA - Surly has setup a guild on the EU-Freya server called Project Patch, it's small at the moment, but there are a few people in the community who play
Minecraft - We have a vanilla survival server run by Dreamare and Imasukai, and talks are underway about the possibility of adding modded servers
MOBAs (League of Legends, DOTA2 etc) - Tofu was recently elected MOBA Moderator, and is working to get a feel for what MOBAs are most popular within Project Patch, and arrange some events accordingly
Team Fortress 2 - Many of our active members play TF2 regularly, and I typically run 1 or 2 MvM games a week.
Tabletop - We currently have a steady tabletop community that's very active and constantly growing. I run fantasy openD6 games every saturday. Hyperax, one of the tabletop moderators, runs a space openD6 game every monday, and Deadpool, the other tabletop moderator, runs frequent sessions of Tabletop Simulator
NOTE: Tabletop games and events take place on a different discord server, link can also be found in the sidebar
Other games - Just because your game wasn't listed here, doesn't mean we don't play it! Hop on Discord and ask around!
tl;dr: I really can't stress this enough: The bulk of the active Project Patch community is over on Discord, please don't dismiss the community as inactive until you've given it a chance!
Hey Guildies!
Heart of Thorns
As you know, Heart of Thorns release is this Friday at 12:01am PST, 7am UCT, 8am GMT and 9am CET. Therefore I am announcing a guild event! We will rampage through heart of thorns storylines like a wave of beasts. At 11:30 PST, 6:30 UCT, 7:30am GMT and 8:30 CET we will meet up at the Plaza in Lions Arch. And from there we will decide what to do. I should have a commander tag by then but we will see.
Spooky Levelling
So, its almost halloween which means Guilders Events! So to you F2P need to become level 35 to get into Lions Arch. I’ll run some adhoc levelling groups but I would like you all to join up and get yourselves levelled! Some Spooky guild events will occur so stay tuned! Update: event temporarily delayed. Mocap can't get Internet and everyone else is busy with the downloads but it's going to happen on and off all through the day!
