Last December I visited Prague for Christmas. I immediately fell in love with the city. It's the only place I've ever visited where I felt like "this is where I wanna be". Everything was super nice, from the food, to the atmosphere, to the locals.

Last week I finally got a job offer with a 70K gross salary. I wouldn't know if that's good enough for Prague cost of living but hell I'll take it. It feels like a dream come true for me and I can't wait to move and settle down in Prague for good!! Happiest moment of my life

Hello, I am looking for an optical connection, but struggling to find a provider. The flat in question is in Vinohrady, and the agent states the prior tenant had fiber optics/showed us where the fiber optics are. However, every ISP I contact says they can only provide WIFI or DSL to the address. Has anyone else experienced anything similar, or have a method to track down who actually services the house?

If optical is in fact not an option, what are your experiences with these 5G/4G routers? Can they in fact reach 100+MBps and support video calls, online gaming, multiple devices etc?

Did anyone else wake up with this weird buzzing/mechanical sound last night?

I slept with the windows open and woke up but it lasted for maybe 5 seconds before whooshing away super quickly. It felt like something in the air.

I've never heard a plane/tram or any machine really that makes that noise..

Texan here who goes to Europe every single year. Last year while I was in Vienna, all the barflies in an American bar I frequented near my hotel said that if I wanted an idea for my next trip, I should go to Prague.

So. To celebrate my birthday, I booked a week excursion in Prague after I get done in Amsterdam.

I like live music - specifically jazz or R&B. Anyone know of any chill bars or venues that offer such? (The quality of the cocktails I could care less about. I don’t drink).

I(20F)am a native czech who has been living in Prague for 10 years,but this have never happend to me ever. Around an hour ago,i was walking down Freyova street in Prague 9,in the direction of Vysočanská from Nádraží Líbeň. I was wearing long pants and a long sleeve t-shirt. I had headphones in(i know,i shouldn’t,but in broad daylight in a busy street one doesn’t think they’re gonna be followed,eh). Suddenly i tripped over someone’s feet,i saw it was a boy around 10-12 years old,(what i didn’t know that he was shouting at me,before tripping me intentionally)i apologized,but he continued to shout at me and mock me. I flipped him off,got in front of him and started ignoring him. He started slapping my butt and spiting on me so shoved him(not too much because it was a child) and he shoved me back with kind of a force that i had to catch myself. I still ignored him. He climbed on the fence of the lodgings(ubytovna) oposite the Eliška building,spat on me the last time(hit my head ,not my face thankfully) and disappeard into the lodgings. The boy was 10-12 years old,height around 155cm i would say,average weight,Romani origin,dark hair,big brown eyes. He was wearing gray sweatpants,dark short sleeved t-shirt and a gray sweatshirt tied around his shoulders.

we are getting married outside of Prague in August 2025 and are looking for a wedding coordinator (not a full-on planner but for someone to coordinate all vendors on the wedding day itself). Ideally the person would speak Czech and English.
