CAN you convince me to read it ?
I just learned about this. Is it going to adapt the whole thing? How often will they post? Is EE involved as I imagine they will cut stuff?
Why is Asher ruled by a 2nd tier citizen, and why is their first tier left empty?
I didn't discover PtGE until late Book 5. It's not on RR and I don't think it's on any other web novel portal.
Does anyone who has been here since the beginning know how it first started getting noticed?
(I am halfway thru book 3, no spoilers please)
In the webtoon, the vile governor of Larue is Kojo, but in the Web Novel it's Mazus. Does anyone know why the name changed?
Ink-stained fingers. The constant of Scribes appearance.
I loved the art and the scenarios. It's just so good! Can't wait to see the rest of the story illustrated! Though I can't buy the chapters, I'll have to wait one month for the newest update. But who cares? I've finally seen Cat's face! Can't wait to see the prince among men too!
Man, I'm almost shaking, aaaaaaaaaa
Need appropriate music for maximum webtoon experience, got any suggestions? Dark Souls is pretty good for ambience...
I was reading Extra Chapter: Fettered and the description of the chain of hunger Rats reminded me of the undead after the Drakon took over after nessy died, and the Drakoi were said to be sealed away by the Titans until they stoped being Drakoi, and the one we saw had a corruptive/consuming influence on the area despite being only a fraction of full power, which is similar to Demonic taint/aura.
Just passing on info that EE posted to the Discord.
New chrome/firefox extension for patreon called "Readeon: A Patreon Reading Extension" just dropped and it completely transforms the look of patreon.
Here's the link for the extension: https://www.readeon.com
Here's a quick summary of the features as well as a quick 20 sec video of the extension:
Hello all. Below is the link to Erroneous, about the death of Dread Empress Sinistra IV. I hope you all enjoy it, and be sure to leave an upvote or a kudos if you do. Please feel free to leave any comments you may have as well, no matter how small they might be.

Thank you.
What's the most evil deed committed by cat, the first thing that comes to mind is the whole slavery thing in the under dark but I think that was cat being influenced by winter.
Though I find it odd I can't really remember anything truly representable that cat did that made me question routing for her.
I mean I thought she was a bootlicker for trying to reform the prasei occupation instead of ending but the broader narrative vindicated her.
Hello all. Me again. I will be posting another fanfiction in twenty-four hours titled "Erroneous" on AO3. I will be posting a link to it here, as well. It is about the death of Dread Empress Sinistra.
Thank you.
Hello all. Below is a link to my latest posted fanfiction. It is about finding Dread Emperor Sorcerous on the moon. Thank you to Europathebeautiful for providing the prompt.
Please be sure to leave an upvote here or a kudos on AO3, if you enjoy it.
Thank you.
Hollows are treated with universal fear and loathing by non-Hollow humans. Case in point there's a mention that devils and gods can become citizens of Cathay - but Hollows are not mentioned. It seems even the militantly egalitarian Cathay sees them as too other - confirmed by later comments by a Cathayan character on the horror of seeing people turn Hollow.
But why? The main differentiator is they don't need, and perhaps can't stand, Glare instead making their home in Gloam. But, from what we've seen they are rational people that can be talked to, negotiated with, etc...
From a few scraps I've concluded theey don't have souls in the same way Glare raised humans do, or at the very least their souls don't reincarnate. My argument goes as follows:
a) Souls of Glare humans reincarnate this is apparently has been proved via investigation.
b) We know Hollow souls are different from comments by devils and the Collegium god in the terror portal on them being less nutritious.
c) I guess that Hollows don't reincarnate and see such a thing as abhorrent - or at least a section has made a theological virtue of non-reincarnation. The best evidence here is a comment by Archbishop Sakkas saying "In putting out the lights we will end the Tyranny of Bounds and release all souls from imprisonment, as is our sacred duty." I think imprisonment is the cycle of reincarnation.
Intriguingly this would suggest the theology followed by at least some Hollows is almost Buddhist. The cycle of reincarnation traps you in illusion and suffering. The aim is the dissolution of the soul and the self to escape this. The non-violence part, however, is clearly not there.
Hello all. I will be uploading my fanfiction titled "Hotel" in twenty-four hours on AO3. It is about the Woe finding Dread Emperor Sorcerous on the moon.
Thank you to Europathebeautiful for providing the prompt.
(If EE wishes to make an official post/announcement or something of the like, I will happily take this down) For those who aren't on tbe Discord, EE came on to post some updates yesterday.
The big immediate announcement is that the "A Practical Guide to Evil" Webtoon will start releasing next Monday October 28, 2024. And earlier today he shared some stills that I see have already been shared here.
EE also shared that the audiobook announced months ago is still in the works. But given it's being done at the same time as final edits to the series are happening, it's slower work. Don't expect a release very soon. He said it would probably release around the same time as or after the print series, which he also confirmed was in the pipeline. (And that the print series right now is seperated into 15 books)
So, as a heads-up since I don't think there's an official announcement planned. The APGTE Webtoon will begin releasing on the 28th. I've seen the chapters and helped with adjustments and I'm happy with how it's turning up. It's also based on the Yonder text and not solely the original, so you'd get some of the expanded lore/revised story as things go on.
(Talking about the audiobook)
The work has already started, but given that it's running parallel to the final round of edits we're not looking at an imminent release by any means. 50/50 odds we'll be looking at a paper version first, which is also in the pipeline
By becoming 15 books. Nearly all of the later books of the series are getting chopped into several because functionally speaking they're all several books already
(EE, when asked if an ebook would be released alongside the paper version)
Yup. That's pretty much standard business practice nowadays, and the rights are going to the same people.
Catherine created the Accords and Cardinal to dilute the power of Names and also smother most calamities in infancy. That was the reason why Pilgrim back the Truce and Terms and the accords so strongly.
She also killed, directly and indirectly, the most Calamities.
Captain- Killed by WB and Heroes
Warlock - Blew himself up
Black - killed by Cat, Amadeus and WB
Scribe - Killed by Cat and Zeze
Ranger - Killed by Cat
Malicia (honorary Calamity) - Killed by Alaya and Cat.
Catherine is Calamity’s end.
I was working on expanding The Book of Some Things when I thought of this. Now, I'm not trying to replace CatKua. I love CatKua and this one is a mouthful and not at all following the conventional structure of ship names. But. Doom of Wonders.
