Hopefully, you guys can recommend some good websites or non-fiction books (I guess fiction could be useful but odds are against it) that discuss what things a group of post apoc survivors would need to build to thrive. let me explain. I'm working on a post-apoc survival game that focuses on building a thriving community. this is not about guns, or building fortifications (well it is a little), the focus is really town management, resource management. I am trying to come up with different things that a town would need to improve its situation, for example, a simple water filtration system. a process for washing clothes, or a way to create hot showers. these would require specialized knowledge to design and build and maintain them. You want a wall to keep out predators and bad guys. Ok, you need someone with engineering skills and also people with general contractor skills to build one that would be effective and not fall down after 45 days. My google fu is pretty weak, unfortunately, so I hope you guys can recommend some resources. What I'm not looking for necessarily is your general prepper site. Im looking for things you would want to build to make life easier or better. I don't need to know about how to store 500 lbs of rice, and those are the kind of sites I kept finding. i want to go beyond that.
I'm slowly making my The Walking Dead costume for Halloween and was wondering how I can have my fake axe be held on the back of my backpack while still letting me be able to grab it over my shoulder. Any ideas or how you've done it?
Zombies are slow but never stop coming.
You, a survivor, are limited in energy and resources, both of which are easily depleted.
You've got a truck and a few things to use to your advantage, but none so more than your ability to keep moving and think one step ahead...
Looking for players for Discord/Roll20 game. EST time, running on Tues and Fridays. DM me for details if interested. Characters are pre gen, intro sessions for learn as you go. No need to read complicated rule books ahead of time or even know anything except what you'd do when pressed into an impossible setting with no options but survival or joining the undead horde...
What do you do?
