On a PC or android device? Jonsing to try the dvs capabilities of the omni headache....got my serato 7 inch vinyl but at a loss as to where to go from here.. appreciate any help!
Has anyone tried to make cases for 2 numark pt01 and a mixer before ?
Im going to perform at a party but i have no possibility of transport with a car, is it safe to transport them vertically on the subway? What do you recommend?
What's up gang,
My brother gave me his numark pt01 scratch, but it's missing a fader knob. Does anyone know if Amazon sells replacements? From researching on here, I know there's actual websites that sell aftermarket parts for these, but I'm trying to see if Amazon has any for fast shipping lol.
I just received my sc1000mk2 and tried it out. The fader doesn’t fully close unless I push really hard to one end or the other. If I close it like I normally would it just makes the audio of the sample come through crackly. With the fader open sounds are coming through clear though and the beats come through clear regardless of the fader position so I know it’s not a power issue. I’ve tried adjust the fader close and open points in the scsettings.txt file as portablism support suggested I do but this seemed to have no effect. I also have no idea what values are reasonable for these settings since there’s no documentation provided. I’ve also tried adjust other settings such as the fader cut beats setting and it didn’t change anything either. Any help would be much appreciated
Does anyone have one for sale by any chance? I’m in the U.S.
I plan to give my nephew a gift since he has recently started showing interest in DJing. I was thinking of giving him two Omni turntables and a Numark Scratch mixer. Would that be enough for him to mix from his computer?
It worked...throwing omni through the stx to thumb drive record. Guess who's gonna be late to work tomorrow!!! This guy!!!
Hello guys! I was lucky enough to get SC1000MK2 SE, and while I am waiting for it, I am going through the website once again and I see that it doesn’t have a cable, it is okay, I’ll buy one, but could you please help me, what it is? Mini? Type c?
Bonus question: how do you power it? To the adapter and outlet or just computer power? Maybe some workaround with a power bank?
Thanks in advance
Calibrated faders and gave it a quick go! Wow responsive faders in the headache!!!
Only functionality I can see missing is the record to thumb on the stx. Any easy solutions for recording from the omni to a pc or other device? I love to go back and listen to my mixes... Thanks!!
I ordered a cyan sc1000 MK2se but while I look at the older generations and the smaller device it seems that they have more buttons on them. Why does the more expensive one not have as many buttons? And how can I get that functionality on the newer bigger one?
Hey there so grew up with slipknot and limp Bizkit ( everyone's favorite band! Lol) and wanted to try getting into some scratching but don't want to go nuts investing in case it doesn't jive with me or stick long term , would something like a pt01 and a set of decent headphones or speakers be a decent way to get into it ? Just to learn some techniques and see if it's for me?
Any thoughts ?
Looks like Headache Sound are cooking up a digital competitor to the SC1000MK2 and SC500. I’ve not been that interested in those two units but this looks more interesting in my opinion.

Just a heads up for people looking to get one. The last batch of this year according to their IG.
I see Jesse Dean has brought a new tonearm and fader out for the RS. Great to see the RS is still getting mods. I think I'll get the new tonearm, looks much better than the previous one.
There's also a new touch fader which cuts the audio when touched. I'm not going to bother with this. What I don't understand though, is that on the installation video, he shows one being installed on the left hand side with one of his regular faders being installed on the right hand side. If this was the case, then how would you control the volume of the vinyl audio? Doesn't everyone who uses a RS control the vinyl audio with the fader that is not used for cutting or am I missing something? Is there another way to control vinyl volume?
Can the headshelll on a stanton stx be changed
So I have a Numark PT01 Scratch and Serato control vinyl. I want to scratch my own samples and record into my DAW. A while back someone suggested an old Akai AMX which I have just bought for £50. My question is do I have to use Serato for this to work or can I use another app such as MiXXX to avoid paying Serato 9.99pm for DVS?
Hope I have not bought the wrong thing (already bout a Mixfader which was a none starter).
Thanks in advance
Hey there people from the group🤘🤘 Anyone here from Switzerland?
Is there any videos on how to re callibrate sharo cuts for the innofader on SC500?? it started bleeding after using it about 10 times.... any tips ?
Does anyone know where to find one?
It’s been over a year of searching and I cannot find a sc500 anywhere! They’ve been sold out for so long, and I can’t find anything on aftermarkets.
Please point me in the right direction
Thank you!
Hi there
I’m very new to portablism and so far I’ve been scratching 7inch vinyls over Spotify instrumentals and having great enjoyment doing so. I’ve installed 18650 batteries and my next focus is to try and venture into the DVS mode Omni possesses . So far I’ve completely failed to set this up. I’m way over my head being honest with you . I’ve no DJ experience what so ever ,this is all completely a hobby to me.I tried to set it up using dj player pro on the iPhone and bought the camera charger it mentions in the Omni instructional videos but I fail to get a signal. I was told to download mixxx to my laptop which I’ve done but again I’ve no idea what I’m doing . Does anyone have a walkthrough video or instruction for dummies 😂, I’d really love to explore this feature further. I bought Serato control vinyl but haven’t a clue what I’m doing . I’d like to find out am I also meant to buy a music Catologue subscription of some kind and what would you recommend for HipHop samples
So sorry for the long post but I need to begin the journey somewhere 😉. Thanks for your time
Hello all, Simply would like a recommendation for a DJ program to use the DVS capabilities. I use a lot of serato apps (studio, sample) and would love to use DJ Pro, but can I? Open to whatever works best though. Thanks in advance!
Any 7 inchers with guitar? Love to get my hands on little record with screaming solo guitar.. .
What is anyone using for some thing comparable to the Raiden RPM-100
howdy,
i've had an sc500 for a few years that worked about two times. turns on, low volume click, pause, few seconds of low volume noise while the USB drive blinks, silence and the drive's no longer flashing/being read. the internal LED of the unit itself remains on. i've tried several drives and have tried re-formatting a dozen times across said drives; any time i test and return the drive to my PC it immediately needs to be re-formatted anyway.
the weird thing is, it was still able to take a firmware update following instructions off http://rasteri.com/wiki/SC1000_Firmware_Update just this morning, behaved as expected there. yet i cannot get the unit as far as playback from either folder.
the power supply is 5v/2.4a, and the cable i'm using i bought years ago when troubleshooting with portablism - it should be rated for the needed charging strength. i've tested with four other cables but same lack of result.
folder structure on my USB https://imgur.com/a/wQUxDpg for posterity's sake
--at this point is it worth opening this thing up? i don't have a great deal of experience in soldering and have zero idea where to begin with further troubleshooting, and i'd really rather it not remain a paperweight. i wanted it to be a part of my production years ago, and still do. any advice is appreciated.
All the DVS mods for the PT-01 that I've seen require an external audio interface like a Rane SL1, but the PT-01 already has a stereo input & output PCM2900 USB codec built in, the output just isn't routed anywhere.
The phono control tone is already wired to goto two locations. First to the USB codec which we'll need for the DVS control input and second to the speaker/headphones output. I'm using the PT-01 for DVS exclusively, so I've replaced the control tone that normally goes to the speakers/headphones with the output from the USB codec, which is my DVS audio.
The built-in crossfader switch in my PT-01 Scratch still cuts the DVS audio as before.
For DJ software, I'm using Tau DJ (previously DJ Player Pro). In iOS the USB phono gain was reported as too Hot & Distorted for Tau DJ. There's no control knob to change the USB phono gain or in iOS, so I had to reduce the gain in HW. If you're not in iOS you can skip this step.
This solution will not work with Algoriddim. I don't know if EDJing will work. Mixxx will work.
Thanks to u/rasteri for laying the groundwork.

Only needed for iOS. Changing the Phono Gain from 3x to 2x.
Recently, I got a 7-inch Serato vinyl, and I intend to use it with my Reloop Spin. My question is, to use it as DVS, do I just need to connect an RCA cable to the Reloop Spin on one end and connect the other end to an audio interface, and then the audio interface to the PC? Is that all? If so, will the Behringer U-Phono UFO202 audio interface work for me, or do I need another one? Also, if you could explain the difference between Phono and Line outputs, I would really appreciate it.
