Hi everybody im looking into a good but economic portable speaker for my volcas. Medium size not the small ones and not the biggest, that has power and sounds decent for the price. Thanks all!
Does anyone have experience in this field? I'm looking to spend <$1K USD for KARAOKE Speaker System Setup with Wireless MIC as a Christmas / Birthday Gift for my Brother.
Features I would like...
Supports at least two Wireless Mic for KARAOKE Have the Option to setup as TV Speakers and Standalone, Paired. Supports Bluetooth Can Connect Additional Speakers, Basically would be getting two. Much Appreciated!
Hi everybody.
I need a mini portable Bluetooth speaker for work I can use. Fortunately, I have shortlisted two speakers including JBL Clip 5 and Skullcandy Kilo, I noticed that Clip 5 has the same design as Clip 4. However, I watched the video for comparison, JBL clip 4 had a muffled sound but a great bass compared to Skullcandy Kilo which had a clearer sound. So I am here to seek some opinions on which one is better of the two. Please let me know before I make my final purchase. Thanks in advance!
Went to the store today and I really loved the sound of the Revolve as compared to Charge 5, but not my a huge margin and primarily because the Charge 5 was a little sharp. I turned down the treble and mids on Charge 5 and it was more enjoyable. But the overall balance and separation was a tad bit better on the Bose and I don't mind paying for that and the brand,
Also, Charge 5 is costing me 13K INR and Revolve+ 2 is 20K INR.
Although sound is the primary criteria for me, I'm a little worried about three cons of Revolve:
Is Bose outdated? Is there a chance of it malfunctioning early due to the no. 2 and 3 cons? Is the bass balanced at lower volumes?
Please advise. Thanks.
Tldr; I love Bose. Is the Bose Soundlink Max suitable for streetshows?
I own a Bose Soundlink Mini since 2015. It's an incredible speaker, especially for it's size. The battery still lasts seemingly forever and I have used it for countless hours. It was 300€ at the time, but so worth it.
I'd like a bigger, louder speaker, equally reliable.
My last big speaker was a cheap Vonyx which I got for 150€ on Amazon. While my Bose Speaker maxed out on quality this beast definitely maxed out on volume, but you could tell the sound was pre-amped to-fuck. I got great use out of it for 2 years but the plastic case cracked and fell apart from regular usage, battery and sound quality deteriorated etc.
Now I'm in the market for a new punchy beast - one that I can rely on.
Usage: portable sound system for street shows and outdoor usage in places like city squares and parks.
Tldr; I love Bose. Is the Bose Soundlink Max suitable for streetshows?
If not - would you recommend another speaker, Bose or otherwise.
Hello all, Looking for advice, my old man runs different excercise classes and he is looking for a decent speaker, and any help or advice is appriciated Size of room is normally a village hall or a room in a leasure center so let's say size of a tennis court. Sometime is at the beach Needs to be able to run of battery or mains power Ideally have the option to play songs from a USB drive, I'm trying to convince him to use Bluetooth on his phone but.. Budget up to £150 Thanks
Looking for a portable speaker that will over whelm all noise around me. I keep getting dragged to public out door functions and I’d like some thing that puts off people trying to communicate. Something loud and obnoxious.
I'm trying to find a portable weatherproof speaker that plays from an sd card and just plays when you start it up. Trying to make listening to music for an elderly person easy. I tried the traditional cheap bluetooth speaker but pairing to a phone is too complex and remembering to press additional buttons to activate the sd card mode is frustrating for them. so ideally a speaker that when you power it on it just plays files on an sd card.
Just completed a thorough test of these two rugged beasts. Charge has a slight edge due to its ability to double as a power bank. Full results here: https://thegreatestsong.com/jbl-charge-5-vs-flip-6/
my recent speaker has gone bust and i keep seeing the soundcore boom 2 everywhere, would love if anyone could give me some opinions as they have a deal on now if you subscribe to their website you get some free earbuds! is it easy to transport? is it durable? thanks for the help guys.
Need help to understand what speakers should I go for. My Boom 2 is dated and I’m looking for a newer speaker preferably with usb c charging to de-clutter my cables.
Any suggestions? Not looking for anything too big, I’m okay with a similar sized speaker as the boom 2.
My A33, which I've had for MANY years has finally decided to kick the bucket. It was an amazing speaker for it's size and had been in use for probably 10 years. Any recommendations for similar speakers that would ideally be less than 200 USD?
I’m looking for a “portable” speaker for parties, reunions, going outdoors. I already own the Sonos Roam. In this case, size is not of an issue, BUT i would like some input.
Hi, I need to purchase one Bluetooth speaker, to use both at home and when going out with family. It has to sound nice at high volume, and I'd like to have the better sound quality available, despite the loss of other features. I can provide more details if it helps.
My GO2’s bluetooth recently died, i’m looking for portable speakers with AUX support. Really want a Sonos Roam, but they don’t have aux.
Just tested these out this week. Full results are here: https://thegreatestsong.com/jbl-flip-5-vs-flip-6/

I just wanted to let everybody know if you consider buying the Mania , that the speaker is a huge disappointment . After i returned the first one for having a rattle in one of the bass drivers the second one after 2h of listening at 50% decided to cut off the bass and mids . After resetting the speaker work again for ten minutes and then the same problem occurred . This is just a fancy name and a huge price tag for the worst bluetooth speaker i ever had .
Just received my dura beats: https://eu.durabeats.co
I was curious to try them out, didn't expect an overwhelming quality but hey, it would be nice to have something a size of a golf ball with me to play music. I would have a practical use for them. Read some reviews before ordering, maybe they were paid, but they were promising.
Right now I'm underwhelmed. Tried them (got myself 2) on different surfaces – on lower volume it's not that bad, but when I turn the volume up, lower and higher frequencies are insufferable. The sound literally sounds like it's coming from a cardboard box (even when it's not) and at some point it turns to an annoying buzz? Can't describe it better.
Am I doing something wrong or should I send them back right away?
Basic gist, because of its conversion to a motor, my tricycle can no longer use normal horns or bells. I plan on rigging the speaker/player into a custom bike horn, and I don't want to be bothered with bluetooth (because it'd be cheaper and probably better, and the idea I have is to connect my Eclipse MP3 player to it so that way it'd play sound (and it does require an auxiliary cable for that).
I am looking for something with a really good base and volume, but also something that is around $20-$30. I know this is a dumb idea and I've plenty of people tell me that on the r/cycling, but this is something I want/kind of need to do. Does anyone have any recommendations, please?
Hi everyone!
I'm new to this sub and I don't really have knowledge about portable speakers (and tech stuff in general, sad to say). But my girlfriend's birthday is coming up soon and I need advice for my potential gift.
My GF works as a music teacher in multiple schools, as such she has to carry her speaker around every day. It's a harman/kardon Onyx Studio 6, and as such, quite heavy. This is quite a burden for my GF and I want to gift her a speaker that is comparatively the same in terms of audio quality (as she needs good quality for her work) but lighter in weight.
Is there a type of speaker you guys think could work?
It's be extremely thankful for any advice. 😊
I just got my boombox 3 and love it, but i got a question about volume. I got a samsung s22 ultra and i can put my volume up to 150% if i want to but im afraid to do so as i dont want to blow my speaker😂. Anyone got experience with this?
Can anyone recommend a good airplay portable speaker? The Sonos Roam seems to have mixed reviews, The Sonos Move is too big, The Harman Kardon Citation 200 seems to have issues getting lower in volume when taken off the charging base.
Hello! I am on the hunt for a good portable speaker. I have narrowed down to 2 options, The woburn 3 vs B&O A5. What are your thoughts. I mainly listen to Metal, EDM, 80's and 90's rock. I own a Beoplay EQ and I absolutely love everything about it. So I am leaning towards B&O but Marshall has more wattage. What are your thoughts?
