How much did a hamburger cost at Rough House's diner?

I was watching Wimpy the Moocher, and I noticed the prices of the food. A sign said Ham and Eggs were 40 cents, and Oysters were 50 cents an order. How much is a hamburger that Wimpy is too cheap to pay?

After months of looking for the Turner color popeye cartoons, I've collected the greater majority of them, edited them to be in English again, and finally uploaded them to the archive!

This took a great many days to achieve. I'm pretty happy to have found as many of these as I have. I had allowed others to download them and put them up for torrent, but nobody was able to upload them to the internet archive. So I was finally able to get it done today. All of the uploads are there and the page is finishing itself with its automated processing, but it should be finished soon. Here's the link for anyone who may want to see the color versions of the original popeye the sailor man cartoons!

Wave 3 of Popeye Classics figures announced by Boss Fight Studio

Boss Fight Studio recently announced wave 3 of their Popeye Classics action figure line. This wave includes first appearance Popeye in dark and white clothing, Toar, Rough House, and a Goon. I'm really excited that they are continuing this figure line and getting to some obscure characters.

Is King Feature Syndicate over protective of Popeye characters like Nintendo is over protective of Super Mario characters?

Nintendo is so over protective of Mario characters that they'll take down any fan made game with Mario characters. If you make a Mario fan made game you run the risk of getting sued by Nintendo.

43 years ago today, Popeye was released in theaters. It is one of my all time favorite movies.

I will be watching it tonight as a tribute! Trailer: https://youtu.be/FXTyss9UAwM?si=2rzs6zjVFLOe11XO

Need help finding an episode

I hope somebody here can help me! When I was younger, I’d assume early/mid 2000s, I had a VHS? DVD? that was a small collection of old Popeye cartoons (not very many episodes at all if I recall) that I unfortunately lost in a move forever ago so I can’t remember nor check what it was called or what the cover looked like. There’s this one single line that has stuck with me ever since (probably because my brother and I would say it Quite often) but I can’t remember much else about the episode and googling the line doesn’t seem to be helpful.

I don’t remember if the episode was black and white or color (I feel like the scene was at night, but maybe I’m just misattributing the lack of color in my memory?) I’m not sure how accurate this description will be but I believe Popeye was standing outside on the street, and he had been talking to Someone who exited the scene for whatever reason, which made Popeye look around confused before then looking into the camera and saying “Well whatdya know, he dis-da-peered!” I would really love to finally get my hands back on it after all this time.

TLDR: I would greatly appreciate assistance in finding a Popeye episode from my childhood where the only thing I can prominently remember is Popeye saying “Well whatdya know, he dis-da-peered!”

Cole Oyl's catchphrase?

Does Olive Oyl's father say "You owe me an apology" in the comics? He says it all the time in the movie, and I assumed that was because it was his gimmack in the comic strips, but I've read a handful of those and he hasn't said it yet!

Did he gain this catchphrase later on?
