In this rework they made the tridention useless, it can no longer kill weak units
I have this game that I'm rather proud of, where I maximized the number of tiles captured. I haven't wanted to overwrite this save, and want a photo of the entire map. How can I do this?
I saw this challenge on a post made by Important_status_543 and decided to give it a try.
First is to change literacy, it currently gives -33% cost on tech(this is bad because it’s locked behind 2 mediocre techs, and by the time you get philosophy you don’t really need it). So instead of we would have a new trait called “military genius”, this trait would give you veteran after only one kill and a new upgrade called commander after getting 4 kills(commander gives 5 more health, 1 more movement, and 1 more attack.)
Next to change the task, genius. Genius is one of the harder task, and I think that it’s fine.
Finally the mind bender, it would be replaced by a new unit called the guide.
The guide would give any unit in a 2 by 2 radius a +1 movement buff. And it can explore fog with a 3 by area.
Hp: 10 Attack: 0 Defense: 2 Movement: 2 Range: 4 Trait: retaliate(deals 1.5 the damage done to it.)

I thought I was a goner early game but stuck it out like a pain in the ass.
This is just a wishlist of things that I would love if they could add to the game, not a demand list. But any of these features would be amazing!
In multi-player, have the option to enable alternate skins when picking a random tribe.
Make combo tribes available in multi-player if the player has unlocked them in Domination. The combo tribes are aesthetic only so the only tactical change is making it more difficult for players to identify their opponent and allowing a bit more variety and strategy (also, having the ability to pick what color the tribe uses would be nice, like when you have an alternate coloring in mirror matches).
Add a multi-player mode where bunnies can be spawned or where there is a chance that bunnies are spawned by certain actions like ruins or can be discovered in the fog. A sea version of the unit to add some danger and variety to naval play could be fun too.
A map type that is like continents but have 4 or 5 instead of 2.
Give the normal tribes a unique unit to add more variety to the game. I get that this could be a lot all at once and game-breaking, but if done right could be amazing! For example, a list of fun unit ideas for each tribe:
Xin-Xi - A ninja that throws stars, similar to the alternate skin archer but goes invisible like a cloak, and only has 5 health. Imperius- A spartan unit with a shield and spear, can throw the spear but then becomes normal defender, only has 12 health. Bardur - Bear rider unit, large tank that is less powerful but heals itself from eating enemy units. Oumaji - A jackal swordsman with the scythe, can move two, and can be summoned from temples (make meditation relevant). The temple would support the unit and as its level grows, so would the amount it can support. Kickoo - Kraken unit, tank with less health that only moves in water and only 2 spaces, but also goes underwater/invisible to ambush enemy ships Hoodrick- Thief unit, two spaces and has escape like a rider and weaker health, but whenever it kills an opponent you steal two stars or so from your opponent's next turn. Luxidoor - Automaton swordsman, a little weaker but a little bulkier and may use its double arms to attack two units at once. Vengir - Undead skeleton warriors (alternate skin), a normal warrior except when it dies, it becomes a pile of bones. It may be revived for 1 star but comes back with 5 health and does not count as a unit for a city to support Zebasi - Wildebeest knight, moves two spaces less than a normal knight but has an attack of 4, and if attacking adjacent to another Wildebeest knight, both units get an attack boost Ai-mo - Staff-wielding monk, has a range of two, sneak, and the ability to take a turn to switch their staff from offensive to defensive position and vice versa. Does not need climbing. (More attack less defense, more defense less attack, etc.) Quetzali - Bird God, less health tank but flies, moves two spaces, and has dash Yaddak - Black market dealer, if a unit is stationed adjacent, you may pay to give it a weapons upgrade (warrior to swordsman, archer, or catapult, rider to knight, etc.)
Thank you if you've taken the time to read this! I'd love to hear everybody's thoughts and opinions, good or bad! And ideas to add if you have them 😊
Hey guys since Cymanti is weak on water let's give them strategy, sailing and ramming all in one tech. Also I think the unit shouldn't require a port. What do you think?
My honest opinion, hope you like it
kickoo**
I recently purchased kickoo and have been trying to get 3 stars on domination. Playing small maps against 1 opponent, but haven’t been able to get 100% score due to the turn count….
Since kickoo starts with fishing, their strength really only shines on larger maps where quick sea expansion and exploration is key. The fishing tech guarentees a turn 1 city upgrade, but the path to sesfairing doesn’t allow for quick wins needed to achieve a 3 star win in the ~10 turn limit
Any thoughts or tips on how to quickly win using kickoo?
I'm struggling to get 100% with any tribe because it seems like in the new update you always spawn on separate continents. I can never get over to the bots land fast enough to win. Is there a strategy that I'm missing?
How the hell did I not get a view of the lighthouse when I'm LITERALLY right next to it and I spawned in it.
Hello everyone! I'm fairly new to current Polytopia, I played it a lot a few years ago but a lot has changed. I'm playing mobile and I'm trying to 3 star all tribes on perfection mode with Aquarion but I cannot break 30k points. How do I get 50k? And when I look online for information, why do I see so many sites listing criteria that doesn't seem to apply to current patch? Any strategy help or game set up advice would be much appreciated, thank you all!
Just started a live game and got a connection error - the usual, so I decided to restart my game and now none of my games are showing up. The notifications never miss though! Getting notifications about my turn being skipped for not playing… :D enjoy the elo whoever I was playing against.
Does this happen to anyone else where the games won’t load? I know the connection errors are common.
Curious for perspective on your guys' strategies. As it stands, I've 3 starred all civs and have become addicted to pvp. I really love this game, having played in early dev and returned in the last few months.
I favor 1 of 2 game settings, Might with a Tiny map and Might with a Massive map. 90%+ games in using the 'dragon people', and it feels like I'm improving as I encounter different sets of conditions... learning how to create those conditions, as well.
Here's my thoughtful summary, but I'd love to hear about other civ's and any pointers you guys could provide:
I REALLY struggle when I get stuck with little land mass, or if I get rushed by quick-growth civ's like bugs and imperium... Once or twice, I've been totally blocked by the ice walkers when they freeze the entire ocean. Otherwise, it feels like there's a sense of invincibility after you break 100 per turn and can keep a few Knights to prevent Spies.
it's usually pretty good, i don't think it's ever failed me as of recent
iirc in the old days, it was in a set pattern, it would just check all 8 directions in a certain priority order. i forgot what but i remember hyper obsessing over that. they changed it since right? or is this placebo
