I don’t need another hobby but I made these for decorations for one of my other hobbies and I LOVE them
hello so my sculpey original clay seems to come out a bit off white so i want to paint a white base on my pieces, but i am worried about tackiness! ive had things i painted get really sticky after a while, and id like to sell these so if anyone has any recommendations for acrylic paints that do well on polymer clay id appreciate it!!! ive been using arteza brand and had an issue with it ):
I made some small clay charms and inserted an eyepin into my charms before baking. Afterwards I took the eyepin out and added a little bit of e6000 glue and pushed it back into my charm.
So far my charm hasn’t fallen off my bag but I do worry that it isn’t secure enough with that tiny bit of glue holding it together.
Anything I can do to make my charms more secure?
Hey there, I make polymer clay earrings and coat them with uv resin for the glossy ceramic effect. I want to start making pendants as well, so my question is it safe for cured resin to touch skin for a long period of time? Can the friction between the skin and resin cause any reactions on the long run? Thanks :)

I love making mismatch cute little stud earrings!

hi guys, i used paint gloss varnish on my polymer clay (baked n dried) and it turned out fine, however if i stack them together for too long/too tightly closed up they stick a bit and how can i solve that?
i read somewhere that washing them with soap could help but im not sure, also if gloss paint varnish isn't ideal what would you guys use (gloss)? i know resin works too so other options would be great! thank youu
Hello! So I love to experiment with polymer clay and mainly enjoy making jewelry. I was super into getting stuff made up for a shop I want to start eventually. Well Hurricane Helene hit and I couldn’t make things for a good while due to no power (about 17 days). Now I find myself totally out of whack and unsure of how to get the inspiration flowing again. Anyone have any tips or has dealt with this before? Not sure what the heck is up with me but it’s like I just feel at a loss
But I think she turned out super sweet!
Wine charm set I made for my mom to use this upcoming Christmas gathering. Used Premo, painted with liquid clay, resin mix mica powder, and acrylic paint.
Hello! I was wondering if there was anyone out there that has used Vallejo varnishes for polymer clay jewelry and can comment on how it holds up over time?
I have tried the Vallejo matte varnish, which doesn’t seem to really be matte to me (I may need to shake it more), but I love the way it applies and it’s a lot less fussy than uv resin. I honestly love the look of polymer clay by itself, but sometimes I am paranoid the chalk pastels I’ve used might fade over time so I like to seal those pieces with some kind of sealant/varnish. I have read on the miniature subreddit that these varnishes can have a tendency to scratch off. I have not had this experience so far with the pieces I’ve used it on and have worn. But perhaps multiple coats can help this.
While I’m not going to entirely give up on UV resin, I’ve had such a hard time with it. I was working on a pair of fall leaves and I wanted to see how they would look coated in resin. I wiped them with isopropyl alcohol before starting just to get dust and things off, and I must have not let it dry completely, because after curing, I tried to drill holes and the resin chipped off. So I think it was a mixture of impatience and needed longer curing as well.
I just find UV resin to be so fussy but I do think it provides such a beautiful finish and the added durability is super nice for jewelry.
Thanks for any help!
Made using fimo soft, fimo professional, and sculpey premo. Antiqued with acrylic paint. Whatchu think?
I’m kind of proud of these. Used Premo Clay, painted with liquid clay (red), acrylic paint.
