FAFO season continues as MAGA, thinking DEI just meant Black people getting jobs, now face the reality their mothers, sisters, uncles and cousins all benefitted from it. Oops. President Donald Trump on Thursday blamed the Federal Aviation Administration’s “diversity push” in part for this week's tragic crash at DCA, as yet another deflection ans attempt to demonize Black and Brown Americans. But Maga has realized is the very DEI program they celebrated eliminating helped mothers, Veterans, and most of all, women. And White Women at that.
So much for Black people getting jobs Maga. You played yourself. FAFO. The Leopards Eat People's Faces Party is full.
The Trump administration has clamped down on DEI in the federal government, ordering government DEI employees to be placed on leave, ending the use of DEI in hiring and federal contracting, and other measures to end DEI practices. In the business world, DEI is typically a mix of recruiting practices, employee training and other measures to boost representation of people of different races, genders, classes, religions and other backgrounds.
Rather than lower hiring standards, supporters say DEI broadens the pool of people employers would consider for a job, in theory finding even more qualified people for tasks than they would have found in the past. Companies that abandon efforts to promote diversity and inclusion risk missing out on the best talent, business leaders say.
Political commentator Jack Cocchiarella reacts to Kash Patel's Senate Confirmation hearing.
The power of the purse rests with Congress... for now?
A message to the US Senate: America is watching. Patel, Gabbard, and RFK are more than just unfit. They are a danger to our country, and to our people's safety. Use your vote to protect the people you represent. History will remember your choice.
INTERVIEW - Brian interviews Senator Schiff about his sparring match with Kash Patel.
President Trump has repeatedly said that he would require California to enact stricter voter ID rules before sending aid after devastating wildfires hit the state. Speaker Mike Johnson has also expressed interest in the plan. Marc Elias and Paige Moskowitz discuss what the GOP's aid conditions say about the state of democracy and the continuing election lies Republicans are telling.
Congress is preparing to act on legislation that could restrict the vote for millions of eligible American citizens. This would be the worst voting bill to be passed by Congress in memory, probably ever. It would restrict millions of eligible citizens from registering. And in the clamor of the moment, it could slip through. The SAVE Act would require all citizens to produce a document like a passport or birth certificate each time they register to vote — even when they re-register if they move. This new and unprecedented national requirement has the potential to block millions of eligible Americans from casting ballots. Anthony Davis reports.
INTERVIEW: Brian interviews Senator Warnock about the RFK Jr hearing, his response to Trump's blame deflection over the airline crash, and his thoughts on Christianity and the GOP.
It doesn’t matter who he blames, do you feel safe getting on a plane right now?
Michael Kosta on the tragic Washington D.C. plane crash and Trump's baseless blame of DEI for the catastrophe. Plus, the Best F**kin' News team breaks down which of Trump's nominees was least qualified at their Senate hearings.
Black Maga you got a problem. Trump Blames DEI. And Biden. And Obama. This is supposed to be your strongman though correct? President Trump blamed diversity requirements at the Federal Aviation Administration and his two Democratic predecessors for the midair collision over the Potomac River on Wednesday night, saying that standards for air traffic controllers had been too lax. Black Maga lemme holler at you for a second.
Trump cited no evidence. Because why do that when you can just say stuff. Moments later, he blamed the pilots of the Army helicopter that appeared to fly into a passenger jet while it was on final approach to Reagan National Airport, across the river from the capital. But he quickly returned to the theme that diversity goals that he said were created by President Barack Obama and President Joseph R. Biden Jr. had created unsafe skies, implying that those moves had to have contributed to the disaster.
Donald Trump’s instant focus on diversity reflected his instinct to frame major events through his political or ideological lens, whether the facts fit or not.

Really American host Tony Hinderman breaks down Trumps disastrous press conference blaming DEI for the Plane Crash in DC
This autoplayed while I was driving last night. After seeing Trump's blame of DEI for the plane, I instantly recalled the clip of Musk explaining why DEI is dangerous and his warning that "someone will die" (the "Dangers of Diversity" section starting around 44:00, 45:23 is the actual quote.)
I went to double check that I was remembering it correctly, but couldn't find the video by going to Some More News' page and sorting videos by newest... Because I assumed it was a recent upload, considering the subject matter.
Turns out it's 9 months old.
Jasmine Crockett joined many of her fellow Democrats in demanding President Donald Trump reverse a freeze on federal grants and loans. And guess what happened....A federal judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration's pause on federal grants and loans before it was set to take effect, and it was later rescinded. But they're coming again.
Jasmine Crockett called it months ago. Project 2025 is already massively reshaping America. The OMB memo is the boldest, and clearest example of how the administration is employing Project 2025’s strategies. President Donald Trump says he’s never read Project 2025. But his advisers sure have.
In reacting to Monday’s memo from Trump’s Office of Management and Budget ordering a sweeping freeze of federal financial assistance is the boldest, Jasmine Crockett marks clearest example of the administration not only leaning on the people who wrote Project 2025 but employing its strategies.
The memo, which throws into jeopardy billions of federal assistance for programs like providing school meals and supporting homeless veterans, hews closely to the strategy Trump’s pick for OMB director Russell Vought sketched out for bringing the federal bureaucracy to heel in Project 2025’s second chapter. That includes ensuring that the executive branch’s spending aligns with the president’s priorities — regardless of what Congress decides. And it tees up a constitutional fight over the separation of powers, with Vought long arguing that a federal law that prohibits the executive branch from withholding dollars appropriated by Congress is unconstitutional.
It’s not the only example of how Project 2025 promises are coming to fruition. The president has moved to end diversity, equity and inclusion programs, re-up his previous “Schedule F” initiative that allows him to more easily fire career employees and reinstate service members who had been dismissed for failing to receive the Covid-19 vaccine at the height of the pandemic.
Legal Breakdown episode 454: @GlennKirschner2 discusses the DOJ dismissing charges against Trump's 2 co-defendants.
The U.S. government just abandoned its commitment to thousands of refugees who were already vetted, approved, and resettled—leaving them without critical support.
