About to start an ultraviolet play through for the first time and I was thinking about this being my team.
Charizard, Tyranitar, Vaporeon, Scizor, Gengar, Raichu
Was thinking about possibly switching out Vaporeon for Starmie. And maybe Tyranitar for a fighting type. But open to suggestions I will for sure be keeping scizor and gengar due to the fact I’ve never been able to use them because of trade restrictions.
I beat the game a couple of months ago and this was my team! We've got "Big Dude" the Nidoking, "Kaminari" the Jolteon, "Freaky" the Haunter, "Fat Gum" the Snorlax, "Jogoat" the Charizard and "The Island" the Lapras. I truly love these guys and the other mons that have helped me (I have a special box just for them), and all of them were useful and almost never let me down, especially after I managed to sweep two of the Elite Four with just two of them.
Next stop, Heartgold.
Anyone help me thinking about use it a nindoqueen but never used one so was ageing if some of you great people could help me?
Haven't really decided on the final lineup, Snorlax, Hypno, Wigglytuff and Gengar for sure, but the two open spots have a lot of possible options: Jynx for Lovely Kiss? Use my shiny Exeggutor's Hypnosis? Another grass type like Vileplume or Parasect for sleep powder? Poliwrath? I'd like to keep the lineup to the Kanto 150, but Slaking feels like it fits the theme well... I need two more good picks, ideally Dream Eater or Nightmare users, or another one that uses Rest and Snore
Which way would/do you pick to play
I recently started playing ultra violet it’s a rom hack for fire red. I used a rare candy and noticed it only gave +1 for each stat. Because of that I looked it up and found out about ev’s. how do I know if I maxed them out? And how much of a difference does it make to use rare candies or not?
TIA
I beat fire red for the first time ever. I could never get past Elite 4 as a kid and decided to pick it back up recently. Which one should I play next?
Without TMs, HMs, or any other external source of move teaching.
Evolving is fine.
I think Tyranitar/Nidoqueen/Steelix is compulsory to beat Agatha.
Steelix is the only Steel Pokémon that learn Crunch by levelling up that is probably the only strongest Dark move that's super effective against her Ghost/Psychic types. Also it's immune to Poison & Paralysis by electricity which most of her team uses.
I'm using a Tyranitar because I didn't realise Steelix & Nidoqueen could learn Crunch.
Since Dark types are less in this game, I think they're more important.
My strategy of trading strong Pokémon from my first game that I completed into 2 new games worked!
If anyone finds this helpful, please use it.
I did end up using rare candy cheat to level up my Pokemon up level 56, because even with high speed leveling up felt like it was taking forever. Rate my team.
Playing this for the first time since I was 12
Cubone/Marowak has a bunch of bone moves that are really cool. Pretty sure Exeggcute/Exeggcutor are the only pokemon who use Egg Bomb....
I guess Beedrill having Twinneedle counts too...
Who else?
Yes he can learn solar beam but it's a two turn move, unlike fly and dig, solar beams first turn does not hide you, yes Venusaur is tanky but I'd rather have giga drain 5 pp
Any move set suggestions?
Panning to keep sleep powder
Hey there! I'm YaBoySam (also DJ Durham), and I'm putting together a big compilation of all of the FR+LG pokemon Lo-Fi beats I've ever made, and I wanted to extend the opportunity to be in this compilation to anybody else who has FR + LG covers/beats. I'm not offering to buy, as I'm not making any money anyways.
The compilation will be uploaded to YouTube, and I'm commissioning an artist to make a nostalgic 1st gen visual/thumbnail for it that I will also animate.
If you want an example of how the entire video will look/feel, I did an Undertale one last year: https://youtu.be/4KxSjsqoijA?feature=shared
Again, I am making 0 dollars on this project, so I can't afford to pay anybody. If I was making money on this, I would absolutely pay you for your work. I'm also not asking to own your music, it would of course still belong to you and I would credit you as much as possible.
But we’re back! Decided to use a team of ‘mons I’ve always liked but have never actually used (exception to Dragonite who is always on my team!). Grinding for the Lucky Egg was definitely a game changer!
Im at the last Gym, and i realized that i have no Ghost or dark moves, any suggestion? Should i change someone? I like this team but idk if It Will work with E4 and champion
Does it actually work in FR/LG?
Because I had played Emerald, and there, every time you used these birds or when you fought them, the text says " It is exerting its Pressure".
But it doesn't show this text in FR/LG.
So, how does this work?
Does the total PP of each move get halved or get reduced as soon as the foe's Pokémon enters the battle?
Or does it double/increase the PP usage per usage of the move?
