What is the most satisfying moment in the anime for you, and why?

For me, it's a four-way tie between Meowth Dawn's Togekiss, Ash's Infernape and Staraptor, Jessie's Seviper and Yanmega, Barry's Empoleon and several of Team Plasma's Liepard on his own. With all the talk on Meowth's utter lack of battling skills, seeing him single-handedly one-shot a really powerful Pokémon (several at once in one instance) felt really cathartic.

Honorable mention goes to him doing severe damage to Rico's Tyranitar (a pseudo-Legendary that's part Rock-type, mind you), even if he didn't win.

At the start of the show, we see that Brock and Misty were rather “weak” gym leaders and are also the first gyms. Does this mean there are beginner gyms? And do you need to beat the before gym to go onto the next (like in the games, although I do think I remember that you need to beat other gyms first in the anime)? If so, what happens when the gym leaders get stronger?? Are they no longer “beginner” gyms if they get stronger than the gyms “above” them? Will they get removed from their position to let in a weaker leader to continue that beginner level? Or do the pokemons and trainer just dial down their power and strategy?

Ok so this is round 2 of the Kalos League. Now for round 2 I needed to make up a new trainer for Ash to battle and that trainer is Wacky Wilson, here’s some background on him

Wacky Wilson is actually a pretty feared trainer by the competitors of the Kalos League, and apparently got all his gym badges with one pokemon.

Ok with that done with, let’s get the battle started.

Wacky Wilson starts the battle with Furret and Ash sends out HAWLUCHA. Wacky Wilson tells Furret to use Trick and Furret gives Hawlucha a Rabuta Berry. Ash is confused and tells Hawlucha to eat it, but it’s very bitter, and Hawlucha uses this opportunity to use Double Edge, hitting Hawlucha so fast he can’t react. Wacky Wilson tells Ash that Furret is the fastest Pokemon ever. Ash tells him, we’ll see about that and tells Hawlucha to use Karate Chop, but Furret dodges so fast and uses Iron Tail. Wacky Wilson then tells Furret to use Assist and Furret uses Splash. Ash dumbfounded and tells Hawlucha to use Karate Chop and High Jump Kick while Furret splashing. Wacky Wilson then tells Furret to run around in circles so fast, a sandstorm is made. Ash tells Hawlucha to glide and use the Sand Storm to make him faster. Ash then tells Hawlucha to use Flying Press and Furret tries to dodge but Hawlucha too fast and knocks Furret out.

Wacky Wilson returns Furret and sends out out his Swalot. Ash tells Hawlucha to use X-Scissor but Wacky Wilson tells Swalot to use Swallow, swallowing Hawlucha, making Ash even more confused. Ash tells Hawlucha to get out, but Swalot uses Sludge bomb while Hawlucha in his mouth, and Spit up, spitting Hawlucha out, causing him to faint.

Ash knows the Pokémon to take down Swalot and sends out Talonflame. Ash tells Talonflame to use Flame Charge but Swalot swallows Talonflame. Wacky Wilson said that was really dumb but Ash says, “did you forget Talonflame ability”, and Flame Body was actived, burning Swalot mouth, making it spit Talonflame out. Ash then tells Talonflame to use Razor Wind, but Swalot eats it. Ash then tells Talonflame to use Brave Bird, and Swalot eats it. Ash tells Talonflame to keep on using Brave Bird, and Swalot starts to fly. Ash tells Talonflame to go towards the ground, knocking Swalot out.

Wacky Wilson is now enraged and tells Ash he’s going down, and that he’s gonna send out his most powerful Pokemon. Wacky Wilson sends out, 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 Wailord. Ash and Pikachu are super confused and Ash asks how Wailord even gonna battle, because there’s no water. Wacky Wilson tells Ash he doesn’t need water, and tells Wailord to use Bounce, landing on Talonflame crushing it.

Ash tells Talonflame he’s so sorry he had to lose like that, and tells Pikachu, it’s up to him. Wacky Wilson tells Wailord to use Splash, causing a huge Earthquake, hurting Pikachu. Wacky Wilson tells Wailord to use Roll out, and starts rolling like a sausage dog, and Ash tells Pikachu to run with Quick Attack. Ash then tells Pikachu to use Electro Ball and Wailord uses Water Spout hitting Pikachu. Ash then tells Pikachu to use Thunderbolt, doing some damage, but Wailord uses Bounce. Pikachu dodges but is also launched into the air, and Ash tells Pikachu to use Iron Tail while falling, doing a lot of damage and Wailord causes Wailord to roar. Ash gets an idea and tells Pikachu to use Quick Attack to go in Wailord mouth, and while in there use thunderbolt. Pikachu uses Thunderbolt while in Wailord mouth and electrocutes the water in his mouth, doing a lot of damage and causing Wailord to use Water Spout, forcing Pikachu to get out.

Ash then tells Pikachu to finish this with Iron Tail, knocking Wailord out. Wacky Wilson then returns Wailord and starts laughing crazily and maniacally while walking away, scaring Ash and Pikachu. Ash is then revealed to be going up against Aubrey in the next round

Ok what did you think of this insane battle, yeah I know it’s crazy but I thought it would be fun to have an absolutely ludicrous battle. Well stay tuned for the next battle and give me feedback on this one

I don't know if they've already attempted it yet. That said, it would be cool if they did.
