Hello all, My fiancee and I plan to get married to get married at the end of 2025; we live in Michigan. Recently my fiancee had planned to get a specific jump suit from Bombshell Bridal (in image provided) but was told it was not available in their size. My fiancee presents less fem and we believe is a between a 24 to 26 but likes outfits to be baggy. We are at a loss for plus size friendly stores that could have something close to this two piece jump suit. My fiancee would love a jump suit or pant suit and would not want a dress for our wedding. Any possible advice or leads? Thank you in advance everyone.
What are some wedding dress trends that you want to see in plus-size wedding dresses?
Hi y’all!
My fiancé and I are eloping this June in a city near us. We’re holding the actual ceremony in a little garden, but will be bopping around the city for photos and drinks afterward. All this to say, I’m searching for a little white dress and am running out of steam.
I’ve tried on 6 different Jenny Yoo dresses which were lovely, but fit so poorly that I couldn’t really get a feel for myself in the dresses. I’ve also tried Selfie Leslie, Azazie, and House of CB. I went to a “size inclusive” bridal shop in the city but the biggest sample size they had for me to try was an 6 lol.
I’ve heard of brides buying basic dresses and getting them altered to match their vision. I expect to have alternations on whatever dress I pick, but I want to avoid having to custom make my dress with a seamstress if at all possible.
Can any brides shares photos from their weddings if they went with a little white dress? There are never photos of plus size brides in minis when I’m researching/on these bridal sites. I would love some inspiration / recommendations if you’re comfortable sharing.
Thank you!!
I have my main wedding dress, but have been struggling with my reception dress look and also will need to get white outfits for bachelorette party and rehearsal dinner. Skinny brides are always selling their worn once clothes on my local bride Facebook groups but wondering what marketplace might be a good place to look specifically for us plus girlies to get some quality used clothes???
I also like used clothes cause there is a picture of it on someone that isn’t a model usually.
I also bought 2 reception dresses online that I either need to find a reasonably priced seamstress to figure out how to make 1 of them work or Frankenstein them, or I need to resell NWT to recoup some of what I paid so I can get something new.
Thanks!!
What did everyone wear when they got engaged??? I’m freaking out about my body and how it’s going to look in all the pictures.. I know I know… I just want to be able to be present in the moment and not insecure.
Send me your hot dressy outfits!!! Hehe TIA
Hello there Ladies & Gents! I’ve been scrolling on for days now to find the right dress and right size, but I live in a country where obesity percentage is very low so far bridal shops do not offer my size, so either I need to lose a good amount of weight ASAP (Civil Wedding is in May), or maybe someone can help me out here please on websites for plus sizes that they can deliver in Europe? I’m a UK size 30-32 (EU 58-60, US 32-34) I am open to anything, a women’s white suit or a dress which is ankle length will do! Maybe you would like to sell your dress? Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you guys! X
Hi guys! I’m looking for a little white dress in plus size similar to show po in style! Any suggestions? Etsy isn’t an option because I need it within a few weeks! ☺️
Hi all. I've had an idea for my wedding dress for many months, maybe years at this point, and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Originally, I thought JessaKae had it, but what I see on their website now isn't exactly right. I'm looking for a light blue, short (mini to knee length (might go a bit longer)), flowy dress with embroidery and/or sequins. I've attached two pictures of JessaKae dresses that are currently on their website that are close, but I just don't love the appliqué. I'm hoping to spend $500 or less on the dress. I've been googling all day, and so far my only lead is Etsy if I can find a dress I want. However, I'm not sure I can trust an Etsy shop, and if I have to have it customized, that may be too expensive. And I fear going to a bridal shop since it's probably out of my price range, too. Additionally, if I buy the dress now or within the next 6 months or so (we're getting married next October), I may need to have it taken in as I'm on Mounjaro and I'm worried I may lose weight quickly. (Currently, I'm a 3X.) I don't want to buy the dress last minute, so I'm basically looking for advice on the types of retailers to keep an eye on. I really appreciate any help. Thank you!
I’m recently engaged and am beginning to scout plus size bridal boutiques. I know there are several options online, but I’m really looking for that classic in-person bridal shopping experience.
I wear a US 22-24W in denim. Does anyone have positive (or negative) experiences to share for plus size friendly bridal shops in the MI area? I’d also be willing to go as far as Chicago, IN, or OH.
I'm about 10 months away from my wedding date and have yet to start dress shopping. I'm absolutely terrified of the whole process. When I was a bridesmaid for a friend's wedding a couple years ago I had a total meltdown while trying on dresses at a local bridal store. They had almost nothing in my size (and I've gone up a couple sizes since then) and everything made me feel so ugly. I see so many gorgeous plus sized brides out there, but I just don't have the same proportions (I'm a lot smaller up top). I also wasn't always as big as I am now, so the "image" I have in my head of me as a bride is just so wildly different than what the reality is going to be. Just the thought of trying dressing on fills me with so much embarrassment that I know I don't want anyone to come shopping with me. Does anyone have any tips on how to make this process any easier? I'm scared I'm going to want to cancel the whole wedding once I see myself in a dress.
Can anyone recommend a budget friendly wedding dresses shops or amazon yall have bought from?
