Hello all. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas.
I have a wedding in Thailand to go to in February, and I'm having a hard time finding some nice pants. I don't like dresses, and I really don't want to mess with a jumpsuit.
My biggest thing is finding something that won't be super hot. I've been looking for months now, and nothing has worked out so far. I've been looking at linen, but it often seems too casual or there aren't big enough sizes. Or it's a lot of white or white adjacent, which I would like to avoid. It's cocktail on a rooftop. A light wool could work. I've also heard good things about Tencell. It's just that everything is polyester now! I've seen polyester pants that claim to be breathable, but I kind of don't believe them. But if there are people who can personally vouch then I'd be more inclined to try it out. It doesn't help that it's cold where I live now, so I can't try it out myself.
Some additional things. My waist and thighs aren't proportional, so what I've been running into lately are pants that fit my waist but are baggy every where else. I've been getting legs tapered at my tailor because I swim in them. This is especially true with anything wide legged. But I have an affordable tailor, so getting things taken in isn't out of the question. Also I have long legs, so many things are short on me. A 30 or 31 inseam is best. 28 is really short looking especially on non skinny pants. Sometimes ankle length hits at a weird spot too.
If anyone has any ideas that would be great. Thank you
I usually get bras from lane Bryant, but lately I haven’t been happy with them. I am a 44F, where do y’all buy bras? Thanks!
Where else can a big weirdo like me shop? Here are some weird brands I like: Copper Union, Dressed in LaLa, Nooworks, Snag, Softcore, Topsy Curvy, Trash Queen. Any other suggestions?
Where are you baddies finding affordable but stylish clothes?
People usually say that would be better to opt for flared options and not skinny options (example below). Let me know about your opinion I'm curious.
3x shirt stitch fix. Shorts are thrifted but brand is avenue
Hi all,
I've been looking for a while now for clothes that are grungy or in Y2K style and above all very oversized and baggy (and can be ordered from Germany). Preferably like Minga London, but I just can't find anything like that in plus size. Sure, Asos sometimes has trousers that are relatively baggy but not as big or fancy/cool as I'd like, they're usually more basic. Sometimes you can also find individual items at Killstar but these are the exception rather than the rule. I used to order from hip hop shops sometimes but that was 15 years ago and I have no idea what's available today, plus I was a smaller size back then. I've also looked through the shop list but I can't find anything suitable there either.
Maybe someone else has an insider tip? (Please no SHEIN or Cider, thank u <3)
It's called Kanchipuram print and I bought it online :)
I’m thinking silver heels and bag but I don’t know. I’m in England.
Love this jewel toned/burnt orange dress, the brand is Ophelia Roe (from Meijer)!
It's a screenshot from a video, sorry about the quality. I know the belt is upside down lol
Hi, so, I noticed lot of you are using snag tights regularly and I have a question. Is there any way I can determine whether specific tights from snag have wide / added gusset and two seams on butt (like this)? I can't tell form the pictures and it is not in the description, so is there any pattern? I know some brands add gusset from certain size upwards. It is queston of buy/no buy for me. I should be size F if that helps. Thanks for any insight!
Or any material other than polyester and its variants. I despise the way polyester feels on my skin doesnt matter how large the shirts are.
Right now I am looking specifically for short sleeved cotton t shirts with a V neck or just a VERY low neck line. Does anyone know a place that sells what I am looking for?
I’ve found that pleated pants suit my body well but I’m short so wide-legged pants are hit or miss. These from Amazon are a little too long, but I wore them with chunky heel boots and they worked out. Anyone else stepping away from jeans and have a favorite type of pant?
I am looking for recommendations for brands and specific items of clothing for big flowy pants and yoga pants. I had a C Section this year and now tight things on my belly really irritates the area. I typically wear a 3x but my body is changing a LOT postpartum so I don't want to drop a huge amount of money on clothes that might not fit in a few months, so budget friendly is a must. ($20 - $30 range). I prefer to avoid fast fashion like Shein or Bloomchic. Located in US.
Palazzo pants: baggy enough so they aren't hugging my tummy (I have an apron belly) and I can feel comfortable tucking my shirt in. I got a pair from Target (Ava Viv) and they are perfect linen pants but they only had black. Looking for some other options.
Yoga pants: stretchy but preferably cotton based, texturally I hate moisture wicking fabrics. Must have pockets.
TIA!
This dress is from Bloomchic!
New Fashion Nova Curve bikini. I love thier options! I got some cute rashguards there too.
