I played this game a few years ago and only have like 100h of playtime. Is it still fun to play or is this game dead?
What are you deck enjoyers using to play this game ?
Frequent server latency spikes (up to 9k sometimes) usually where the action is, making the game unplayable for me. It's been going on for a while now, are you planning on fixing your hardware or should I uninstall the game?
Edit: Cobalt
First time seeing a cheater. Friday and today. It's probably the same player with a different account after getting banned.. Both cheaters had the same game style.
Why wouldn't the game have an alert after a NEW account kills 100 players in minutes... Why does this game allow people to cheat so easily?
How do I get back to the faction rep in sanctuary?
You can spend literally an hour driving/flying around in any map and find around 10-20pumpkins at max.
Why?
This is suppose to be fun events but all the metrics are always grindy and obscure.
It's been like this from the start, which is so weird because in every other game I've played that has events they've thrown carrots at you for the sake of it because ykano it's suppose to make you happy. Meanwhile in PS2 I've always felt deflated when it is always 1-3 objectives that automatically complete (kill, res/ammo/etc) and the rest are fucking obscure bullshit that just wastes time and has nothing to do in a wargame.
Literally no one enjoys running across a map trying to find pumpkins that randomly spawn. "Kill enemies who are wearing halloween masks" oh great so I am quite literally fucked if OTHER people do not engage with the event? For reference I've got 200+ masked murderers and despite going stealth+knife (mostly knifing snipers) I got 8 "knifed masked people".
TLDR: This is a complaint from the dawn of this game, I've never felt a game make a worse event impression: It is always insanely grindy that takes way too much time, way too little reward and is not at all in the spirit of "FUN".
Been away from the game for almost over a year now and hoo boy is it rough trying to get back over the hump of insta dying every half second and losing literally any semblance of a fight
Had a vs hacky instakill me a few times as well on my first day back. Felt odd considering I can almost confidently say as an emerald player I don’t remember running into many if any hackers that were being as blatant as that guy was.
Slowly getting used to winning fights, reworking Sundy builds after the rework changed them and above all else trying to remember what the old “in the know” me was thinking when putting together class loadouts and builds.
Still love the game but trying to learn how to play again is certainly kicking my butt.
Any of y’all out there had to reacquaint yourselves with the game after a lengthy break?
So I am a bit confused, When getting bounties x1, x2, and x3. How does this exactly work? I feel like it's very random sometimes...Like last game I had 24 kills and no deaths in a row and did not increase my bounty at all. But then it feels like sometimes I will kill 1 person and get a bounty on me.
Please explain if anyone knows lol
Seriously it feels like everyone including myself is playing with 200 ping. And before people gaslight me, my ping is 20 no packetdrops.
People in chat are complaining so its everyone who feels this.
4x XP but servers cant handle people actually playing the game smh.
Edit: many people have rightfully pointed out that 184 might increase the 167 dmg range a little to far.
To remedy this, decrease the max damage range to 8m on Corvus/Ursa and 13m and possibly remove HVA.
It would only be fitting considering how Wrel personally voiced FL-34.
Also there should be a unique directive line that gives you not only the signature Green Bandana but also a White Crate banner to go along with it.
Same one in the PTS. Make it easy to unlock these weapons for new players. This change would also make it so that you can use platinum and bundle weapons without wasting kills for directives. It would also help the devs sell more subscriptions.
I know everyone thinks it's to prevent cheaters but it's bugged and completely ruined driving Harasser/Ant/Flash unless you go really slowly and don't ramp up over anything but a tiny hill.
I can't complete a barrel roll on a chassis designed to barrel roll (daredevil) without exploding.
If it goes turtle I can't roll it back without exploding.
I can't skip down a steep incline without exploding.
I can't jump from one hill to another (eg Amerish) without exploding.
I can't ramp up over any kind of obstacle without exploding.
Anything involving being airborne for more than 1 full second makes the car explode, without fail.
The cheater is probably laughing all the way from inside his rock over this, please retune it or fix it so we can enjoy driving again.
It's embarrassing killing my gunners over and over for no reason and literally sucks the fun of driving a Harasser, it's on the level of a membership cancelling issue for me. I don't want to but driving and leading our vehicle outfit is all I have here now, if I can't enjoy driving there's no point in paying for something nerfed to the point of frustration.
It's not even preventing cheaters, a VS turret cheater was on tonight but us Harasser/Ant/Flash drivers are the ones being punished with this ridiculous exploding vehicle nonsense.
Everyone remember how powerknives used to deal 1000 and actually have a point? I do. After using knives for the Halloween directive, I have come to realize just how pointless current powerknives are now. Not only do you have to manage to hit someone with the knife (harder than it sounds), you have to hit them in the head to get the instakill, which is basically impossible. Considering it has a slower firing rate than normal knives, if you miss that first headshot, you are probably dead.
The nerf was already unwarranted in the first place, just bring it back to what it should be.
Hello hello,
I came across this game from one ytber I really enjoyed doing variety Planetside. Decided to get it and apparently got myself into 4xp event. I have less than 10 hours in and, as expected, confused af. Is there any community I can join on Discord for NA TR player on Emerald? Any outfit/squad active?
Also looking for some sort of updated wiki since I like learning about games through reading the stuff
Does it have some special ability or something? 4x headshot multiplier?
Every time I face someone with that gun, they just kill me instantly. The stats sheet says it's basically the same as the MSW-R with 143dmg and 750RPM.
But any time I run into it they just point it at me and I'm dead instantly. Even when I ambush someone, they just lazily turn around and annihilate me. Am I missing something here?
