We have been trying to find better at home treatments for her allergies and separation anxiety scratching for months and finally found a system that works!! She was scratching her shelf bloody every time I left partly due to allergies and partly because “if I bleed mommy will stay home” I swear that’s her thought process lol we switched to Dimond Care hydrolyzed food topped with apple cider vinegar and coconut oil, bathes with Veterinary Formula shampoos and ear cleanser ( they are on Amazon) next got her a camera so I could talk to her a couple times a day but the true champ here is the inflatable donut cone! Only 4 days her sores are healing and her chronic folliculitis from scratching and licking is almost all gone….she looks miserable but she pretty much stays in this wrapped position for the first couple hours, then finally consents and gets up to wander from couch to bed like normal… I typically leave her for 4-6 hours for classes I’m a student so I’m home with her studying the rest of the time. Can’t believe I waited that long to get her a donut!! Her discomfort for the time I’m away is worth it, she has her old energy back, I can tell she feels so much better and happier when I am home and I feel more comfortable taking her on long walks with out the fear of over irritation from her licking. Make the donut decision!!! Hope someone finds this helpful!!
Hey there,
I have a question. I live in Michigan, and we have made the big swing to fall. I was out in the backyard throwing the ball for Sadie like we make sure to do every day; otherwise, she'll start to go stir crazy. The thought came to me when she lost her ball in the leaves from one of our big trees: "What are we going to do for winter when we can't see the ball in the snow?"
This will be our first winter with her, and we want to make sure that she gets the exercise she needs and burns off all her extra energy.
Im down for suggestions, but please make them practical.
Thank you!
This is our babygirl Lucille Ball. She’s 10 and a Pitt/Shepherd/Rott mix. Despite her ancestry she is one of the most kindest and lovable dogs.
I have a pittie mix rescue, we have been working on him since 2-3years now. He is super super nice when people are around.
Things that we are having real issues with:
I love him, also I am an immigrant with unstable visa right now. I got him out of shelter since those were high kill shelters.
I don’t know what to do at this point? I cannot go out for anything, since he keeps barking when left alone, and chews up stuff if not in crate but alone. I cannot afford another dog right now. We have had lots of issues while boarding him if I am away for work. Because of his severe separation anxiety. I have tried claiming medicines, trainings but they don’t work. He is not good motivated or toys. Not sure what happened in his past. I sometimes feels like surrendering him to shelter but I also know the next person who picks him up might not be even as patient has I have been for last 3years 😭😭😭😭I feel guilty for everything
I swear, I’ve only ever seen pitbulls LOVE being under the covers and head on the pillows. My girl LOVES being tucked in 🤣
Three years old and still can’t figure out how to climb the house
got up to get a drink and he immediately stole my chair and when I told him to scram he just rolled onto his back and started wagging his tail.
