It definitely doesn't appear to be a tricone hat. Or if it is, it's a very unique style of one.
I found this too;

it's from Doctor Who... so i'm not sure if it's historically accurate or if they took liberties.
I am putting together a captains journal and I need entries that would relate to the theme of Pirates, the kind around the golden age. I am not as creative as most people are, and I am trying to do this as there is a running inside joke between my wife and I that I was a Pirate long ago. and for our anniversary I am putting together a journal to kind of keep that joke going, I have a couple stories of my own that I've made up on the fly while we were joking about it that I will be putting in there, but beyond that I am completely stuck.
I need logs that would include entries and stories involving Henry Morgan, Jack Rackham and the other pirate captains and locations of that time, competitions they had, duels, even silly moments that could have been "historical by accident" thanks in advance!!!!
EXAMPLES:
Day (xx): We have finally made land on the northern port of Tortuga, the crew has been given their coin to spend and orders.... etc.
While in Tortuga met a man who said there were many ships to be taken along the eastern trading route.
A story of some kind of "gentleman's wager" between captains would be good as well.
All are welcome and I look forward to all the wonderfully creative help!
Even if its just random spit balling and completely nonsensical that is fine as well!
There are legends about him that I’ve heard about from the Lokals on Koh Samet and I can’t seem to find anything about it on the internet, please help me
I’m looking to make a patch of Sam Bellamy’s flag as he’s my personal favorite pirate. but problem is I can’t find a straight answer of what their flag actually was
Some sources say it’s a simple Jolly Roger with the skull and crossbones, others say it’s a skeleton holding an hourglass and a horn, and another said his flag was of both him and a skeleton holding an hourglass together.
I wanna be sure to get the right flag so can anyone with more knowledge of the man tell me definitely what his flag was?
Pls need it quick
There's 10 days left to back my campaign for PIRATES: A GRAPHIC HISTORY. This 168 page graphic novel is a non fiction, if not slightly ridiculous look at buccaneers, blighters and really bad eggs from Barbados to the Barbary Coast! We were funded on the first day but now we're looking at the 2 more stretch goals to get everyone's physical copy upgraded to hardcover. Tiers include everything from digital copies and remarqued physical copies to commissioned art and appearing in the book as a pirate. There's even a tier to get my complete Darkwing Duck library that was NOT included in the Dynamite Kickstarter. I appreciate your support! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/silvaniart/pirates-a-graphic-history-but-not-that-kind-of-graphic
My friend James Silvani has created an awesome Pirate book! Please take a look at his Kickstarter and help him get this project off the ground! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/silvaniart/pirates-a-graphic-history-but-not-that-kind-of-graphic?fbclid=IwY2xjawGDnBdleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHe2uzWq_fPkWp23Cb9Ac8r7ouKgi5q95Zk6F2ieqV9FkWzuZfneNCHjP9w_aem_bVEfpq9zxk1AxNehm-1Cig
Empire is a really good general history podcast! Doing a piece on Blackbeard and Pirates at the moment that is worth a listen to.
