I am doing a school project on Mail/Correspondence art and I need some primary research. I created a brief, anonymous survey and if any of you are interested in filling it out it would be super helpful. It should only take a couple minutes and you can skip any questions you do not feel like answering (Its mostly multiple choice).

It will ask you to log into your email so that you can only fill out the form once, but it is not recording the addresses and like I said it is completely anonymous.

I figured this would be a good place to find some people to participate, thank you!

The only two rules would be to own the right of the sent photos (don't send photos that aren't yours) and no public use of the received photos. (and of course only legal things... but this is obvious)

Hello! I just bought a couple medium-sized journals (5.5 in. x 8.3 in.) that I want to use in snail mail correspondence with other artsy pen pals. In this journal swap, we each buy our own journals, write a starting entry in it, and send it back and forth to each other in a cycle for a few weeks in between each entry. This way, you can have a journal to keep of your own when it's over (you keep the journal you bought). If this is any way confusing, just ask!

For things we can do, we can talk about our day and whatever things that may be troubling us. We can talk about stuff you’re passionate about too, such as school, art, fandoms, pairings, games, anime-manga, movies, books, TV shows, poetry, philosophy, science, and etc. (be warned, I typically don’t write too much because my attention span isn’t the greatest). Since this is an art exchange, I'll mention that you don't have to be great at drawing to take me on; I'm not the greatest at drawing myself. Also, I mainly draw anime if that bothers anyone. I'm more of a digital artist (I need my Ctrl-Z and Transform tool) so I'll mainly be printing my art out to paste on the journals. Of course, you can do the same or you can draw inside the journal itself if you want (I will likely do that myself too every now and then). If you'd rather draw traditionally and copy your art with a scanner so you can glue the second copy on the journal (and thus leaving the original drawing in your possession), that's perfectly fine too. I have plenty of stickers and washi tape that I'd love to use for the journal swap as well so watch out for that!

Also, if you want to write down a mini-playlist of some of your favorite songs per entry, I'll be happy to listen to what you've got to share--I'll be sharing some songs myself! I’ll also share poetry I’ve read that I liked as well (they'll mostly come from Tumblr). I also like to use my tarot cards, so if you're interested in a short reading every now and then (or even with every entry!), I can help out with that. You do not have to take them seriously as well.

As for me, quiet and quirky is my name and I’m Hmong-American (bonus points to you if you know about Hmong folk). I like drawing, poetry, anime-manga, nature, music, tarot cards, the Hamilton musical, conspiracy theories, coming up with visual novel ideas, typewriters, wax seals, postcards, and looking up different things that hold my interest. Some of my favorite movies are Reign of Assassins, Before I Disappear, Faster, Star Wars: Rogue One, and the MCU movies. Each movie I’ve watched in this list has changed my life in a certain way (except for the MCU movies). Maybe, I'll be able to tell you how when I am ready one day.

Particular fandoms/games/series I’m into are: Violet Evergarden, Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts (I'm a Gryffindor/Hufflepuff mix), Heart no Kuni no Alice, The Ancient Magus Bride, Erased, Ajin, Code Geass, Recovery of an MMO Junkie, Akagami no Shirayukihime, Dragon’s Dogma, Dragon Age, Skyrim, and Ore Monogatari!!

As for conditions as to who I’d like to exchange mail with, I'd like you to be at least 21. I don’t care if you are male, female, or non-binary for the most part, just know that I’m not looking for a relationship at this time.

Hi, I literally just created a reddit account just to join this since I have a ton of stationary collected throughout the years left unused and I promised myself that I'll draw more (currently working as a full-time Accountant) and do something new for once.
