Pensacola Florida.
You might have heard we were : America's first settlement, the home of the World's whitest beaches, the cradle of Naval aviation, or the Redneck Riviera.
We just call it home.

Trying to leave my small studio apt in Milton early without having to break the lease (finally scored a nice townhouse in Pcola). Management said it’d be alright if I found a roommate to sign onto the lease and then sign to release me. Do y’all know where I should post to advertise the unit? I’m currently considering Facebook marketplace and I’m open to any suggestions!
Hey all,
I lost my wallet downtown last night. It’s a brown leather wallet, please if you have found a wallet message me. I’ll provide details on what is in there, and there’s a decent reward in it if you message me. Thanks
I am working as a contractor msr, I have been reported here twice for false allegations and my job is on the line. I feel targeted here and that people are out to get me. Anything social I am afraid to participate in at nfcu because I feel like I’m going to get reported for more false allegations. Has anyone experienced this childish behavior here before?
My husband and I are moving to Pensacola from the West coast of Canada! We are trying to find a little bit more information about this area. For context, we are in our early 30s with no kids. We are mostly wondering is it a safe area? Good neighbours? Anything else we should know or be aware of? Any information would be great and very helpful!
We are also looking at Scenic Heights and East Hill both of which we’ve been able to find a lot more information than this area.
We’ve seen a few Reddit threads that say to avoid West Pensacola so we aren’t sure if this is too close / what this area is like.
I am a 20(M) and go to Pensacola state college. I'm about a year and a half in my bachelor's next semester and after that wanting to commission in the Air Force as a TACP officer. I pretty much meet and exceed all the physical requirements except swimming. I lived on the beach my whole life, but never touched the water. My question is, can anyone help me learn how to swim/ bobbing, 25m underwater, diving, etc in a pool? Even if you aren't military and willing to help a fellow local out would make a huge difference. Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated.
I went last year and got outside the east gate around 730 and waited to get in until the gates opened at 8 and walked to the flight line by 820. I've been reading today was absolutely crazy though, and even got so full that they had to close the gates.
What would be a good time to arrive tomorrow? Think being outside the gates in the car line by 7am is okay, or is that even too late with the massive crowds this year?
Can we take sandwiches, chips, etc in the gate?
Basically I just got all my gear and want to start prepping for an AT sectional or thru hike Is there a good place within 90 minutes that offers a 25-50 mile trail that you can camp along?
Hi! Just a PSA to say that if you are planning on voting early at the downtown library, expect a line and brr, it's freaking cold in there. Bring a hoodie or a sweater or a jacket or whatever suits you, especially if you are cold natured.
There's a lot of posts here about seeing the Blue Angels practice from the fort, but has anyone watched the show at NAS? I don't want to miss this historical weekend but prefer to avoid traffic with 100k+ if at all possible. TIA.
Hi pcola peeps - I’m relocating in a couple of weeks and hoping to connect with the community in various ways.
I’d love for recommendations on local networking and community events. I’m a multi entrepreneur; I own a home-organizing business and do photography in my spare time. I also offer dog and housesitting services on the side. I have been a nanny for 5 years and offer occasional babysitting as well. I am in various Facebook groups, on Nextdoor and have joined this reddit community but would like to join in-person events to connect with people.
I like yoga, reading and being outdoors so hoping to build connections through my hobbies as well.
If you read this far — thank you. I’m beyond excited to be a part of this community!
Also, feel free to share your favorite local spots for food, drinks and fun. I prefer to support small businesses 🏝️
Found this article on our local State Attorney. Local news needs to investigate and report on this!
I got recommended this place by fishbein. The place seems nice and the doctor seems good and cool. But 3500 dollars is pretty steep for me. 2 of my teeth are close to the nerve but the other 2 were relatively normal just need to be removed.
Anyone here gone here and can suggest a good ppo insurance for it. They are only out of network so the cost is quite high. Hoping for a good reduction or something. Although good dental insurance doesnt seem to exist. Im not sure if i should just pick one or what for open enrollment.
Hey all, I am sending a gift card to a friend in Pensacola as a grief/comfort gift. Which is better in your area, UberEats or DoorDash?
alright.. so.. i’m 20, i moved here almost 2 years ago now. i turned 20 in june. i’m here because i got kicked out of my dad’s place in febuary of 2023 because i got outed. i was 18 at the time. he lives in indiana, i have spent most of my life in indiana. most of my community is there. now i live with my mom in pensacola. and i’m genuinely so lonely man. i don’t know where to even begin to look for people because i’m not currently in school, everyone i go to work with is either not at all my crowd or they’re significantly older than me, and i am way too nervous to walk up to random people and start conversations or anything. i’m okay with being alone to some degree but i just feel like i am wasting my youth and i don’t really know what to do. also sometimes the general feeling of loneliness gets to me. all i do all day is scroll on my phone, draw, and sometimes i go on walks. does anyone have any advice on places i could go maybe to make connections? i really want to meet people man. all of my friends are online 😭
Living on the west side, just how bad can I expect traffic to be trying to get out onto Warrington and Navy tomorrow morning? I have a kid to get to and from a bus stop that requires crossing those streets, so I want to plan accordingly.
Does anyone have any recommendations for an honest affordable AC company? AC just stopped blowing cold air, and I work from home with a toddler here all day as well, so I need it looked at asap. Thanks in advance!
Due to unfortunate and unforeseen life circumstances, my dog of 4 years and I must part. If anyone can help it would be of great appreciation. I have tried every shelter possible but have been shut out and told they are full and not accepting. He comes fully equipped with food, bowls, kennel, beds, toys and leash. About him, his name is Percival but also goes by Percy. He's about 4 years old and a big cuddler. He loves to play and is very very treat motivated. He isn't picky on food and will eat anything you present to him. He's a little cautious and shy at first but comes around quickly because he loves being the center of attention. If you are interested, please DM me and we can talk.
People live along this road. I like high speed hijinks, too. And it's a great road for it. I have attempted to rescue someone who didn't respect the curves and elevation changes. He's dead. Hell, I have wrecked on this road when I thought it was old hat. Don't come blazing through here at 90 mph. Okay?
<Old man yelling at clouds>It's nice to track my ballot and know it was received but it's not comforting to see it not counted yet. What's the deal with waiting until election day for it to finally be counted in Escambia County?
I've been checking their website occasionally since late August I think it was? The volunteer applications page linked on the website has been down every time I go to it, did I miss the window of time it was open? Have they not opened apps yet? Or have I been looking in the wrong place this whole time lol??
Hey all. Just wondering if there were any fellow players in this area. Wanted to know the good locations. Thanks!
Feel sorry for the cop too, since I'm certain it was an honest forgetful mistake. It almost always is in the case of sleeping kids, too.
Best place to get daily pay? Starting my Christmas hustle early on my off days while I can!
Thanks a bunch.
