W. Germany Pelikan M600 [B] 'OB'
Please note: Pre-1997 Pelikan M600's are the same size as a modern Pelikan M400!

Pelikan introduced the Pelikan M600 shortly after the M400 and is an higher-end pen of the same size. It has a 18K nib instead of 14K and more trim rings. They are far less common than the Pelikan M400.

This Pelikan M600 has a 18K, long-tined, flexible 'OB' nib. It is stunningly elegant, comes with its box, it is still stickered, and comes with the original tag. The pen has been dipped, never inked while it has been in my posession but I cannot verify whether it's been inked before. There are some very light scratches on the body of the pen. Montblanc Starwalker Midnight Black Metal [B]

Beautiful gunmetal-colored Starwalker. Has the smoothest cap threads I've ever experienced. The ruthenium plated nib is undesignated, but writes a medium line. The pen is in very good condition, but a bit of the ruthenium plating on the nib has worn off. It is only visible under the right light conditions, but probably a result of capping the pen. No box or papers, but comes with a Starwalker converter. The pen was initally cartridge only, but Montblanc later released a converter that would fit the Starwalker. Pelikan 140 [C] 'M' - writes more like a fine.
All-black Pelikan 140 from 1950-1954. Brassing on the cap ring and some on the clip. Some surface scratches and hazing of the ink window, but crack-free. The nib is a wonderful writer. Designated as a 'M' nib, but writes more like a wet EF/F Semi-flex but doesn't spread very wide because of the short tines. Very bouncy for daily writing, a pleasure to write with. Geha Goldschwinge 725 [D] 'EF/F' - this pen has a crack in the cap!

The Geha Goldschwinge was Geha's flagship model line of the 1960's in three levels; the 725 with a plastic screw-on cap with a rolled gold cap band, the 735 with a nickel-silver snap-cap and the 745 with a rolled gold snap-cap. The 725 came with both long ink windows and short ink windows, this one has the short ink window.

These are quite uncommon and have one of the prettiest inlaid nibs, but when you find them, they commonly have cracks. This pen is unfortunately no exception. The pen exhibits heavy signs of wear with scratches on the section from the cap ring, several scratches on the body (but no cracks to my eye) and some scratches on the cap along with a crack that is depicted. The pen is functional, writes smoothly and the crack has shown any impact on the function of the pen in the brief period that I've owned it. The pen is quite slender and very good looking. Piston has been lubricated (not easy on these pens) and works flawlessly. The reservetank feature does not work. https://imgur.com/a/dsHIYMm

For sale: Pilot Fermo cartridge/converter, with 18k fine nib <F> and dark blue body.

The Pilot Fermo is a bit of an oddball in Pilot’s Capless line. It uses the same nib unit as the other models, but it is heavier and has a less curvy profile than the Vanishing Point, and instead of a push-button knock, it features a twist mechanism. It accepts the (often reviled) Pilot CON-40 converter, and some of the older less available converters as well (CON-20, CON-B, CON-50?).

It tends to run at a higher price point than the non-special-edition Vanishing Points and Decimos.

The pen, not surprisingly, writes beautifully, giving a fine, wet line with a bit of bounce and a generally smooth feel. The D rating is because there is a chip and significant scratching on the barrel near the end of the clip (captured in the photos).

The pen will ship with a Pilot ink cartridge.

A modern classic.

The pen writes fairly smoothly with a wettish flow. The stiffness of the nib and just a touch of feedback distinguish the writing experience from that of a Pilot.Description of how the pen and nib writes. The body and hardware are in generally good condition, but the nib has some noticeable scratching on it (captured in the photos) which earn it the B- grade and a relatively low price.

I think that buying this pen would be a great way to experience a Sailor gold nib for less than many modern steel-nibbed pens.
