Does anyone know where one might find sparklers and/or fireworks this time of year?
Any mom groups in Pearland,TX.
I'm currently looking to get my Sport Pilot License (SPL) but have been hitting a wall finding a Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) rental in the Houston area. I've spoken with a few CFIs who are available for training, but the issue is securing an aircraft. Due to some regrettable decisions made during COVID, getting a Private Pilot License (PPL) isn’t an option for the next few years, though it should not be an issue down the road. However, I’d rather not wait that long. I plan to handle the extra 20 hours needed for the PPL later on.
I haven't had my first flight in an LSA yet, though I’ve flown as a passenger in Cessna 172s. I’m really eager to get some hands-on experience in an LSA. I work remotely, so I’m flexible with location—anywhere from The Woodlands to Corpus Christi works for me. Port Aransas and Pearland are preferred, but I’m willing to travel farther if necessary.
If anyone has leads on LSA rentals or knows of CFIs who rent LSAs in these areas, your help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Need someone who can provide services for an existing garage door. Any recommendations?
I have lived in Pearland, TX for over 20 years. I have two kids who are now 18 and 20, and both did their elementary, middle, jr, and high school with Pearland ISD. We moved here due to work and the school system is good compared to other school district. When my kids were young, we used to walk after school to the many schools in the area and play basketball, soccer, baseball, etc. I would see parents and other kids/teenagers running, exercising, etc. Then the school shooting began and schools started putting fences around the playgrounds and fields, and some fields would be open after school. The other day I went to Dawson HS and noticed that now they have put more fencing a locked the gates and posted notices that they cannot be used by the community unless you rent them. Since when the public schools became for profit facilities? As far as I know, we paid for those schools with our taxes, schools are part of the community. or at least should be. I know that Texas is not known for education (#29 in education), but Pearland I thought was better than average, I guess the race to the bottom is going on. I spoke to my son and many of his friends that used to go to Dawson after school to play soccer, run, etc., now will have to pay to rent the field, or go somewhere else. I guess we want an uneducated and unhealthy population in Pearland. The other park near Dawson has been locked for years and you have to park in the neighborhood across the street and jump the small fence, have not checked to see if they will also be putting a higher fence and renting the fields. I also understand that every once in while adults might be using the fields for pick up games, and that can dealt with withouth having to tell kids to stay home and watch more tv. And I will just mention that it took the city of Pearland about 5 years to fix the street next to Dawson HS, that is how much this city cares about its students. I'm sure that street had more potholes than the moon. Let's pay more attention to what is going on, government is us and it should be to serve us. We have many problems in Texas and it looks like city and state government are not interested in fixing any of them.
i just turned 21 yesterday and moved to the area about a month ago. i really just work and do school and dont really know anyone here, so i need some good bar recommendations so i can make some friends lol
Heard a bunch of air raid-sounding sirens, very distinctly not PD or FD sirens, around 4am from West Pearland. Did anyone else hear them, and does anyone know what they are?
They just finished deploying in my neighborhood and their sales people have been calling me like crazy trying to sign up. I currently have AT&T Fiber (300) and after switching out a problematic modem, it's worked flawlessly even after Hurricane Beryl.
I'm curious if anyone here is using them and what their experience has been, especially with outages. My wife and I both work from home regularly so uptime is very important to us. I'm especially curious about their equipment - I currently use AT&T's equipment and while limited in functionality, it works for our needs and has been reliable.
I'm looking for apartment recommendations! I'm hoping for somewhere quiet. I'd prefer a 2bd but we'd be happy with 1bd. Our max budget for rent a month is $1400 (if there's no utilities included). Anywhere in Pearland/friendswood/Webster works for us. It's just me and my husband for now.
Im an avid thrift shopper who moved to Pearland recently. Ive been to the goodwill, salvation army, and adjacent 2-3 other consignment stores in the same immediate area. they are BUSTED imo.
To those who love thrifting, where do yall go? Even if its outside of pearland, willing to drive 20-30 minutes for a good thrift.
Every month has been something special at this market and this 3yr anniversary will be like no other.
Personally, I look forward to wearing my new mushroom hat and seeing all the cute costumes.
Hello! My friend and I grew up in Pearland and are digging in our brains for what used to be where the Papa John’s is now. The one next to Shipley and Subway near the old bowling alley location.
It’s been a PJ for so long it’s all I can remember. I’m guessing it would’ve been early 90s.
Thanks in advance!

I see that it permanently closed down? That was my favorite pizza place to order from on Ubereats. Their crust tasted great, and they had the chocolate cake with a white chocolate layer.
Where else should I order a pizza and chocolate cake from?
My Chiropractor is holding a trunk or treat on October 27th and asked me to share with friends, so I thought I would post the information here Incase anyone wanted to join in on the fun!
The sheer amount of reports on bullying, sexual assaults and bomb/shooting threats that go unreported to parents and the community are alarming, at every grade level. The incident that occurred at Cockrell Elementary a few days ago has me flabbergasted. My son was in the classroom that the “kill list” was found in. When asked why ALL parents were not notified of the incident, PISD admins informed me that only the parents of students who were “directly involved” in the incident were notified. As in the student who made the list and students on the list. They also used the term “credible threat”, as if there is such a thing. A threat is a threat.
I have contacted several media channels and presented evidence of PISD grossly mishandling these issues. I implore you to do the same. At the very least, an informed community is a safer community. Please, keep in mind that it’s the admins and district that are falling short here. Not the teachers. The policy on these issues is a joke. Speak up, if you’re concerned. The only way to start change is to open a conversation. Thanks for reading.
Doesn’t have to be big hills lol.
Hi All,
I just recently moved to Pearland from Spring. There were a couple of middle school/ high school tracks that were open to Public after school hours. Does Pearland/Rosharon/Manvel have anything school tracks that are open to the public?
Hi everyone,
Looking for an opportunity to grow!! Is there any project coordinator/manger leads out there?

Hi! I am a senior dental hygiene student seeking patients 18+ who are experiencing HEAVY tartar buildup on their teeth for appointments in September-December 2024. ALL dental services (cleaning, xrays, fluoride) are free, although TMC does charge for parking. We do not do restorative work (fillings, extractions, etc) but will give you referral forms to low cost clinics in HTX. Please note that these dental cleanings take several 3 hour long visits to complete (depending on the amount of buildup on your teeth), due to multiple instructor and dentist check in's. Licensed registered dental hygienists and a dentist will be double checking our work to ensure that we are providing comprehensive care for you! :) If you or someone you know fits this requirement please text (281) 606-5276.
My neighbors have installed vivent in the front of their house. I don’t know if the volume is adjustable but he has his chirp so loud we hear it throughout our entire home.
We’ve asked him to turn it down (as well as his dogs that bark constantly throughout the night) and he doesn’t. It’s been well over a year and I’ve decided to move.
I can’t seem to catch a break.
Has anyone cancelled their gym membership with Dynamic Fitness before? I want to join since it's the cheapest gym in the area, however, I know some gyms tend to make it unnecessarily difficult to cancel and may even continue to charge you even after you've cancelled. I just want to make sure there are no other issues before I sign up.
I have a unique request, I'm looking to rent a 2 car minimum garage with an apartment over head. Ideally I'm looking for something like the Southgate setups with those large detached garages. I have found this difficult to search for this arrangement and imagine there are a number of people that would like the additional income. What I don't need is a large house.
Anybody have any spots or ideas?
Good evening everyone
I’m in need of an affordable Real estate attorney or one familiar with Texas real estate law. I am being wrongly sued and have enough evidence to prove it . I was quoted $15k By a couple attorneys. That’s way over my budget . My case will take at most 2 hrs To prove to the judge . My husband and I have all the document ready to show the judge .
How risky is it to go to court without an attorney ? Are there law school students that can assist me for less cost ? What options are there to pay less ?
I’ve never been sued before. Thank you for your help!
guys i need friends i graduated school last year and dropped everyone from there because they were just immature assholes. but anyways, i need people to hangout with around the area im really fun to be around kinda crazy but besides the fact i just really need to socialize more 🥲
New development off Bailey between the stadium and the overpass. Wondering if anyone can comment on these houses. Ideally by someone who bought one. Happy or not with your house? Looking to possibly buy there. Happy to take a private message also. There is going to be a second phase across Bailey. Thanks in advance…
