misprinted 20 dollar bill. what is the value?
Not worth much due to condition but neat to have.
Was looking for best options to protect some bills I have inherited and found over the years. Thank you in advance!!
Found them in a house I am renovation. All perfect condition. Some from 1953 as well that look the same. Any feedback would be appreciated.
One more to my collection
I’ve been creeping this sub for a while as I am getting into collecting paper money. I have a few bills, but this is out of my range of knowledge. I found this for sale, is this a good deal?
Hello 👋🏽! Super new to the world of numismatics. I came to realize there doesn't seem to be a website specifically for assessing the current market value of fancy serials. It's sort of a hard problem b/c there are other factors to consider outside of just the serial number (bill grade, denomination, etc). I happen to be a software engineer so as a quick side project I thought it'd be interested to try and build something to help give an idea of what a bill might be worth.
tl;dr - Put a serial number in and it'll tell you if / why it is fancy & give you a cash value based on the average of the last 30 days of ebay sales for that "fancy type" - specifically for $1 denomination (to keep it simple). Yes, probably a bit of a naive approach but I learned a lot building it and maybe it can help 1 or 2 people.
Feedback welcomed.
Found a solid working copy of the 1923 legal tender note. It looks more vivid in life but here it is for perusal.
