I ended up winning Free Panera for a year( one free pick two meal a month for 12 months). They gave me a store card with the promo deal on the back of the card and informed me to come next week to claim the actual physical card. I ended coming back a week later, I believe Friday and showed them my "promo deal card" and they said, no problem sir let me get your meal on the house while my other manager gets your the real physical card. 5 mins later the other manager comes back and gives me this ticket with the CODE to input for the free meals. Since the meal was on the house and no CODE was put on the system , I decided to order a you pick Two meal on the 31st of October, since they never used my CODE for the first meal. I made my order and when it asked me to input the code, I got the response.... "promo not valid at this store". I said "oh well" so I decided to order again yesterday 11/01 and got the same response. Now today I went to the physical store and attempted to use my code on the kiosk and got the response...."invalid code." I then proceeded to the front counter and the cashier got her GM and she told me to order once again on the app but once again got the "not valid at this store." The GM gave up and gave me a meal on the house but got my order wrong unfortunately :( Anyhow has anyone encounter this type of issue before?
I don’t have anything to complain about or good to say,the pay and hours was not my liking but the people were great. Farewell sub Reddit.

How is there not a tip minimum on Catering orders exceeding $1,000? My coworker and I did a $4,000 order yesterday. Prepped the night before and came in at 4:30 AM. Order was breakfast and lunch. We delivered, setup, and it was all on time. Was met with a $20 tip. Panera really needs to put something in place for this not to happen to hardworking caterers. I know we’re not the only ones.
Hi I’d like some insight on whether this is something to do with my location or if it’s a general thing. If possible I’d like to learn what’s going on so I can be more understanding as a customer.
It seems like often when I’m trying to order that I have to wait like 2-5 minutes to order at the cash register. Sometimes I give up and just do the mobile order rapid pick up. Most often there is staff there in the food prep area but not at the front.
An issue arises when I do the mobile pick up and the computer doesn’t register it which is also a pain. That’s a different subject though.
Does Panera have cashiers multitasking a lot? Sometimes it seems like the cashier is baking or cleaning rather than at the register. Often in the back. What are some other tasks the cashier is responsible for?
Are most people mobile ordering? Do you think Panera will roll out more self service kiosks? My Panera doesn’t have one. Maybe it’s an old location? How do employees feel about self service computers in their locations?
I hope I’m not coming across as rude—I would like to understand. But often feel impatient. My Panera doesn’t really have a lot of customers and often feels pretty empty. Is it short staffing? Help me out
I earned a visits reward this morning and unlike before did not have a choice of 3 different rewards.
My store was such a joke honestly … I worked there for a little over a year with so much bs just thru the whole time working there. For the majority of working there was a manager that would constantly come into work drunk, she would be slurring her words so bad and constantly berated employees in front of customers it was honestly sad. This woman actually cussed out a customer, calling her a bitch, said she was finna “beat her ass” , went to the back laid on the floor crying saying she was having a breakdown and completely left the store and gave a MINOR the keys the store (keep in mind it was later in the day so she was the only manager on duty) and there was only 2 of us minors there. So she leaves the store and keys to 2 minors , keep in mind right after she just threaten to beat a customers ass. And guess what ?!? THEY STILL KEPT HER AS A MANAGER!!!!? But yeah this is just a little example of how shitty this company was. This lady made multiple employees cry on the spot by constantly berating them as if they were stupid, and this happned including to me. Also we got MULTIPLE customers complaints about her, saying she seems like she’s intoxicated , or just genuinely asking if this lady was okay. This and so much more went on for so long without any kind of consequences , and you would think that the manager is someone who you look up to somewhat as a role model that they would would at least be an average human being Lol. But lmk if y’all any more stories about her , it’s so much shit this weird ass lady did 😭😭😭😭
Lol little add on I forgot to add , she also was having a intimate relationship with of the associates , which is pretty known that a manager and associate relationship is NOT ALLOWED 😂😂
Why is The SYGMA Network hated by everyone? They have been nothing but awesome for our store. Absolutely love The SYGMA Network
I joined the 3 months free Sip Club promo a third time using a third email address.
Since it’s the same phone number, is there a certain amount of times I can do this before being banned?
Why is the greatest pastry Panera Rene “Mother” Bread has ever created have to be limited edition? How do I petition to keep this on the menu full time? This precious, succulent, slice of fruit cake is moist, thick, and just a burst of goodness in your mouth. Every time I take a bite it’s like a rainbow smiling and pooping more delicious rainbows in my mouth! If you ever wanted to truly “taste the rainbow” put the skittles down and get one of these!
This cake reminds me of my grandmother and going to her house as a child for Sunday dinner and having a sweet loaf of poundcake on the dining room table. Despite being a diabetic, my grandfather loved sweets and this reminds me of the orange cake we used to share while watching Matlock and Judge Joe Brown on a Tuesday evening!
This cake is delicious! It’s moist! It’s sexy! If it were a man it would be Jalen Hurts. If it was a woman it would be Salma Hayek. If it was Beyonce it would be Sasha Fierce and if it was a president it would be Barack Obama. The Tom Brady, LeBron James and Marshawn Lynch of cakes!
At the very least someone message me the recipe so I can make it at home and eat it everyday for the rest of my life. But I would prefer you just keep it on the menu.
Send this to the COO!
I’m a sip club member and order drinks on the app almost daily. I also like my drinks without ice (grew up in a family that didn’t like or use ice and now I don’t like having it if I can help it!) the app used to have special instructions where I would put no ice please, but that’s gone now. Is there any way to order no ice in the app that I’m missing?
And replace it with this bland watery beef Chili? That item was a home run. One of the best fast food dishes on the market. I know it was a hot seller too because the internet is rife with copycat recipes and rave reviews. Does Panera marketing just think changing the menu automatically translates to revenue generation? How can they be so stupid?
Serious question..... I need to get so much of my chest and let people know what happened to me and see if it can be traced back to me or not?? I need to talk to someone.. so can everyone please tell me if the high ups in my district will know who I am as long as I don't give names or clues?? I'll change names to protect the crappy people who have fucked me over my whole Panera career .......
Hi guys, TM here…I genuinely need to find a new job ASAP. I’ve worked here a few years now and my gm and the higher management is a shit show. My gm doesn’t do shit, they do work they sit in the office all day and scream at people to do things. “Delegate delegate” yeah okay but when higher management or your bosses come in is the only time you see you on the line or actually working. Then you leave early every single day, coming in at ass crack thirty just to leave before lunch and not support the team at all. Has never closed nor worked a weekend at my cafe. Has had multiple HR reports against them but the company supports them and they have family running our HR so there is genuinely no repercussions for the bad behavior and extensive HR reports against this gm. I am so at a loss. We are being forced to run 0 chart on labor and managers are getting our asses handed to us having to work 5 different positions with no associates since we are sending everyone home and cutting back hours a ton. Oh and btw gms are on hourly and not salary so associates hours are REALLY getting cut. I seriously hate this company. I used to love my job but I am seeing how corrupt it really is working for a place like this and a company that cares about themselves and not the people on the front lines working for them. Interviewing now to find a new job, i haven’t even listed everything this gm does and the way our AOP just lets them get away with everything along with their family in HR. i don’t feel supported or taken seriously at all and there’s nothing i can do other than find a new job or im stuck. just trust im taking half my team with me and making my shitty gm suffer when they realize how much loyalty everyone has to me and not them. have fun running your cafe with no people because you’re a terrible person.
Well, it was a good run while it lasted. So I feel like sharing my experience :))
Now, I’ve only worked for panera for a few months (since July), and with the baking position going away I chose to pursue another job instead of staying to work in the cafe.
Truth be told, it was a very good job for me. I’m not a social person, and I like that I was able to keep to myself and listen to music while working at my own pace efficiently. Sure, it had its days where I wanted to just walk out the door for the ridiculous bakes I’ve had to do (mainly talking about bagel Tuesdays.. ) but all my coworkers were awesome and actually made my long work weeks easier. The job had its pros and cons, and stress-filled days, boredom as every job does.. but without the job, I wouldn’t have been able to climb the ladder to better opportunities. I’ve grown to love baking in a whole new light, and something I ended up being really good at.
The pay was alright, nothing special really.. but I was still able to pay the bills and other amenities just fine, but still, always could be better especially in this economy. (My new job pays way better)
My bosses was fairly good, very understanding when I had spontaneous circumstances come up, and always gave actually decent critiques in the early weeks of my solo bakes post-training.. I never had a problem with any of them.
The physical demand of the job was a bit rough on me for a while, given I was out of a job for 6 months before working for Panera, and given I’m really thin and have carpal tunnel, it took some time for me to get used to lifting, bending, pulling/pushing heavy racks and bread.. but nothing I couldn’t handle. It’s definitely tiring at the end of a shift.
Now the Ovens.. I’ve got some beef with. 🤣 I worked between 3 locations, one super slow one, one that worked perfectly, and the one that nearly burned through my knuckles. Getting burned is no joke. Especially when your not paying attention and get your hand caught between the side of the oven and a bread rack..
But overall, I rate my experience a solid 6.5/10. Would’ve keep working there if the baker position didn’t go away, but I’ve thankfully found myself a better job in the baking world <3 thanks Mother Bread.
Everybody has been dealing with staffing issues as far as I know, this week we’re at a nice -50, which isn’t bad… it’s bad but it has been worse. But I was just told that 2 manager positions are being terminated, so we’re gonna be short staffed, and the only people who are expected to work the positions that aren’t filled, are going to be fired? Don’t get ittttt
Have you ever served an avocado that was so hard it would have been easier to chew a leather shoe?
Our local Panera runs out of bagels and healthy breads by lunch. They don’t intend to make any new bakery. Went to another Panera and same issue.
I tried Panera for the first time the other day and loved it. I tried the Veggie sandwich. I want to have some again soon and I’m wondering what do y’all think of the Mac n cheese bread bowl? Is it good?
