Hi.
I’m thinking about getting a UNS 35e for my wife’s office. I’ve seen some videos on how people just putting epiphytes out of the water and no roots in a substrate. They just kinda push them in between rocks and near the sponge pads. How do they get minerals and enough water to grow? Just from the atomizer?
Thanks!
I’m contemplating starting a palladium and stocking with hardy small fish like rasboras and maybe an amano shrimp or two. However when I look up paludarium on google, I see hinged tanks that allow for an open top. I’m interested in keeping a high humidity paludarium that would be closed on top. Would just a regular 5 gallon or so tank be ok for a first paludarium? I can get a good UNS tank with a custom lid and just fill it halfway with water or something. Anyone else do something similar? Can I see pictures and examples of types of plants you’d use in the non water part? Thanks!
Not sure can I plant dwarf grass in a tank with water?
I have Fluval 107 external filter. Every few hours it makes sounds like it is choking for few seconds, but the water stream continues as usual.
What can be the issue?
I saw u/CSH_CombatVet’s post on r/aquariums and was curious what youtubers/content creators this sub is watching.
I work from home and love throwing paludarium builds and similar videos on in the background while I’m working.
My go-tos are Serpa Designs, Indoor Ecosystem, and Lang DIY. Lmk what else I should be subscribed to.

A lot of people are starting to keep Vampire Crabs these days so you'll probably find this little cheat sheet super helpful
