I have a work party tomorrow and I want to treat myself to a new lip combo. The only lipliner I like on me is Whirl by MAC, which I think is a mauve color? I am cool toned, I am super fair and have blonde hair!
I have a bunch of nyx lip liners but they all look too dull/dark for me. (I think i have shades natural and natural something by nyx and I hate them) I really like the Maybelline lifter glosses. If anyone could recommend me a lipliner (preferably nyx/drugstore) shade and maybe a good Maybelline gloss to pair!!
essentially im looking for a pale version of a fake tan to even out my skin. im tired of putting makeup on my body constantly. i cant find anything but maybe im looking in the wrong places or using the wrong key words.
like it had to exist somewhere right?
I love you all.
I have shade 1, the formula is amazing but it’s orange. I saw that CT came out with a “brightening” shade that’s literally just white. I’m very tempted to get it, but I’m scared it’s not the same powder formula. If it’s just basic translucent powder that would be a huge waste of $. Wet n wild sells a mediocre white pressed powder for $3 that I already have. Has anyone tried the CT and can (hopefully) tell me that’s it’s the same great powder as the original shade range?
I just got the curve case by Made by Mitchell in lighter a couple of days ago and it’s life changing. Here are some swatches of what I used to use before I had it vs what I’ll use from now on. Blending is suddenly so much easier, it looks more natural and I can wear less makeup because it blends seamlessly. I highly recommend it! My only complaint is that it doesn’t seem to set on its own, it needs to be set with powder.
Some of the shades in the bottom row have olive undertones, but it’s actually really nice to correct redness.
My holy grail foundation (It Cosmetics your skin but better foundation in 10.5) seems to have been discontinued (at least where I live, in Sweden), and I am at a loss. I have very pale and very sensitized skin, and I can’t wear any foundation containing fragrance, irritating essential oils, or chemical spf without breaking out like crazy. Do you have any recommendations?
When I used to fake tan I loved layering cream and powder products as it helped with longevity and added dimension. But, now I’ve ditched the fake tan, I find layering can be too much on my fair skin. What do you guys do?
Yes, I did wear those orange shades for years... who let me walk the earth like that 😭 I was an oompa loompa, maybe that's why I'm so set on trying to find a perfect shade. Also how are those shades "fair"
In order from my wrist to elbow.
I still have no clue what is my undertone is.
I’m getting married and am looking for the most subtle, natural looking self tanner. I have very cool muted skin with pink undertones. Deli ham vibes.
Does anyone have a self tanning rec? I seriously just want a touch of a glow to really pop in my dress and having a light color will help me feel my best!
Thank you in advance!!
I need one desperately for a works night out and one that won't break the budget!!
Hey, so I finally found a skin tint that my skin absolutely loooooves: L’Oreal Hyaluronic Tinted Serum. I love the coverage and the finish. But… the shade is not quite right. It’s so close, but it’s just a little bit too dark (orangey) and a little too pink for my very fair skin. I use 0.5-2 “very light.”
Tried the rosy shade but that one was even more off.
Would there be color correcting drops that could help lighten and neutralize this shade for me do you think? Any color and brand recommendations?
Hiii!
Hope you're all doing well! :) Perhaps any of you own Maybelline Dream Radiant Liquid foundation in shades: 01 Natural Ivory; 03 True Ivory or 10 Ivory?
I cannot for the life of me choose which one could be the best for me - light skin with yellowish undertones, and Fit me matte + poreless in the shade 110 Porcelain is absolutely perfect 4 me.
I think they do have a porcelain named shade too, but the stores in my country don't sell it apparently. :o
I want to make sure the shade isn't too pinky or too dark.
This is my first time posting in this sub having been a lurker for a while!
I'm generally not a makeup wearer, but a few times a year I like to wear a sparkly eyeshadow because that's the kind of makeup I find enjoyable and interesting to interact with personally (I'm autistic and ADHD so I have an odd relationship to makeup/stuff going on my face and sparkly eyeshadows that can be applied with fingers are an area of interest for me). When I do wear eye makeup, I see a "need" to brighten/correct/conceal under the eyes just a tiny bit to balance things out because the eye makeup looks unbalanced all on its own. When we're not in daylight savings, I use the DRMTLGY undereye corrector in fair because it has the extra SPF in it, but now that it's daylight savings and I'm only wearing makeup after dark, I just want a nice, hydrating light to medium coverage concealer that matches my skin tone and will just correct my undereye circles a touch so my eye makeup doesn't look out of place on my otherwise bare face. I also want one that can be blended in with just fingers, I don't mess with brushes at all.
I know this is not a "normal" way to do makeup, and an odd request, but it's the only way I like to do makeup. I have a very cool undertone and everything tends to pull orange and peachy on me. The only complexion product I've ever used was the Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint in 1.5 Rendezvous, which wasn't a terrible shade match but did pull a little peachy on me. I have very dry skin and the few complexion products I have tried tend to dry me out throughout the wear time.
Okay so like what’s the fair cool toned shade in Maybellines Superstay foundation it’s like my favorite but I can’t decide which shade is cool toned because I’m pale and cool toned
I just bought Cheeky in an Ulta order yesterday after days of researching liquid blush for myself. I went to Flower Beauty today to window shop for my next shade (before receiving my order, of course!) and find they’ve suddenly been replaced with a more expensive liquid blush, and I’m not seeing the cool toned shades that had before?
PSA to all the Blush Bomb lovers! Many of your past comments drove me to quickly order any color I could grab on Amazon. Some were listed at $5. Current shades are still $11.50 at Ulta.
The best blush and lipstick colour I’ve worn is hands down when I crushed blackberries and stained my cheeks and lips with them.
I’m genuinely considering just doing this. But is there any similar colour in a makeup product? I haven’t come across anything quite as perfect
I'm pale and blonde. Black mascara looks quite dramatic on me and kind of washes me out, if I don't balance it with the rest of my makeup. I find most brown mascaras to be too dark anyway and/or warm toned, which looks odd with my neutral/cool tones.
Rom&nd Han All Fix Mascara in Long Ash is absolutely perfect. It's a muted ashy brown. It gives me long, defined lashes with a bit of color, without looking harsh or heavy. It's perfect for everyday wear.
The formular is also absolutely awesome. It's the best I have ever tried.
It is buildable, but easy to apply light handed. It goes on super smooth. The brush is small, which makes it easy to control the application. It gives me perfect lashes. And it lasts so freaking well. No smudging or drizzle or anything. It holds a curl perfectly in place all day. I have cried in it, I have showered in it.
Only downside is that it can be a bit difficult to remove; it took me a while to find the right product and I had some frustration with too much rubbing and getting oil cleansers in my eyes. Garnier 2-in-1 eye makeup remover (the one with two colors that you shake to mix) melts it right off in seconds.
Hi I have pale ivory, neutral undertone skin. Looking for a Dior blush recd. Has anyone tried Rose Montaigne or others? Thank you! 😊
Hey all,
So im in the market for a lighter coverage color corrector and I think I've settled on caliray. However now I'm confused as to which color I should order. I'm a neutral leaning cool, with purple circles under my eyes, so I'm pretty sure I should be ordering the yellow shade (pale sun) to cancel out the purple right? However sephora says that pale sun is for warm undertones, and the shade dawn (which is pink) is the one for cooler undertones. Should I go ahead and order pale sun anyways since I need to cancel out the purple?
Thanks!
Does anyone have this product and can swatch? Please and thank you!
I have been lurking and commenting in this community for years and while there was always a bit emphasis on cool tones color cosmetics, I feel like it has increased exponentially lately.
I was really into cool tones in the past, because in the aughts if you had cool toned fair skin everyone automatically recommended cool tones without looking at your hair and eye color. And I do look good in some cool tone shades like not too cool leaning taupes and bright baby pinks. I don’t follow religiously at all seasonal color analysis, but I’m pretty sure I’m a light spring and I actually love a soft peachy bronzer and coral lipsticks.
So for those of you who wear predominantly warm or neutral tones color cosmetics, which one are your favourites?
Hello :)
I was hoping I could get some tips from people on this. I feel like some people pull off being pale really well but I just look sickly.
Are there any things or products you use to make yourself look more alive?
I'm also cool toned and have found most things I've tried to just make me look kinda orange.
Appreciate any advice!
Hey guys, I'm super pale and I use the Korean cushion foundation from TIRTIR in shade 10C. I'm going on a date soon, and want a little more minimal makeup look but haven't found any sort of tinted moisturizer that's light enough. I'm pretty pale, and sometimes like to look even a little bit more pale than I am naturally. Any tips or suggestions of brands? Thanks so much !
Hi! Any suggestions for a powder blush similar to Chanel intense coral? I’m fair neutral warm-leaning. Prefer a buildable blush! If you have other suggestions they are also welcome. Just found out about my undertone and feel a bit lost.
In the picture is my blush collection 🤓 Pat McGrath flirtatious Chanel Intense coral H&M cantaloupe (very old but still good)
Cerave has released 2 new shades of their tinted mineral SPF 30 for face!
Their new shades are Light and Deep. The original single shade is now called Medium.
I plan to purchase the Light one and try it. It’s currently on Amazon and their website only I think.
I sent them an email to ask if I could sample it. Doubt it but can’t hurt to try 👀😅
Edit: posted the links to both new shades. I love that they added an actual deeper shade for our POC folks.
This must have been a soft launch because I just found this on a whim while googling lol. There’s been no posts on their social media about the expanded range.
My skin is ssssooooo dry this winter all my liquid and cream foundations literally look like cement is crumbling off my face :(
I know they say powder foundations are the worst for dry skin but I remember when I was on roacxugane that a mineral foundation was the only thing that looked good! No recollection of what the foundation was though
I'm really interested in theac powder foundation, have any of you tried it?
I recently got my color analysis done and discovered im a true summer, some I’m looking for a long lasting powder blush which is cool toned. I’m pretty interested in the Tarte powder blush but have seen that it’s been reformulated and isn’t as pigmented. Any suggestions are useful! For reference, I wear 000 in RMS concealer and 0.5N in the Kosas concealer
