Hey eveyone. This subreddit has been for a while now largely private as it never really turned out how I'd hope, an active community focused on digital painting techniques, a place for growth, and sharing helpful tutorials found around the web. Left it on the back burner for a long time. Anywho, I've decided to reopen it once more and see what becomes of it. I'm looking for mods at the moment and updating the style sheets cause cough some people decided my design was no good and didn't bother to replace it cough.
If I can't manage to form the open community as I envisioned then I guess paintingpixels101 will become a restricted membership of some sorts.
New to digital painting and don't know where to start? Check out our FAQ for tablet info etc..

I am looking for an online tool that can autoselect a specific block of color from a photo, then allow me to change it to another color.
I have a picture of a mural I am trying to paint and need help visualizing the right color pallete.
Picture attached.
Hey, my workflow and methods is pretty bad, which always leaves me with pieces with bad patches of transparency everywhere. Here I've put a clipping mask over the arm of my character and filled it black, so you can see the transparent patches.
I wonder if there's a good way to fill it in without taking too much time?
