Adolecentes y desconocidos

Joshua Mears hits another 2 HR.

Everyone knew he had some ridiculous power as he's been clocked into the Stanton territory at 117mph exit velo last year.

Now up to 7 in 49AB he'd be on pace for an 85HR season, but more ridiculous than that is 12 of his 14 hits have been XBH.

Thoughts on the Padres draft picks?

I haven't seen anything mentioned on this sub about the recent draft, but r/Padres does not dive as much into the draft picks as this sub used to. So, what are everyone's thoughts on how Preller did?

-Opinions on Jackson Merrill, another prep HS shortstop?

-Is it possible Kevin Kopps gets called up this year as a bullpen arm?

-Is 6'7" James Wood the next Aaron Judge?

-Should we have gotten pitchers in the first couple rounds instead?

JTingler’s comments on A. Espinosa via FanGraphs

I am hopeful he makes it all the way back (ala TRosenthal). Blurb is about 1/4 down in the article.

Regarding the minor league prospect projections

Some of us (myself included) are sort of not too happy in regards to the quantity and quality of the minor league prospects the team traded away over the last year or so. However I take some solace when coming across articles like these about our very own J Profar.

https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/1299567-why-jurickson-profar-is-far-better-shortstop-prospect-than-manny-machado.amp.html

JP is doing okay now but a little far from what all the experts have projected him to be.
