If so how would one apply?
Is this basically a rejection or do I still have a chance of getting in?
Just found out today that I have been wait listed for USC’s program. I’m just wondering when I should expect to hear back? I applied back in mid October for early action
Just got rejected from Umass Lowell, I know that they are a state school and have a big applicant pool and admit a lot of kids from their undergrad program, which definitely makes it harder. Still waiting to hear back from BU,MGH,Simmons, and northeastern. I wasn’t gonna apply to northeastern but they reached out and encouraged me to apply even though it was after the deadline, hopeful to hear back from them soon. I got an interview invite from BU, and got invited to the open house at MGH, which I’ve heard is a selective process similar to an interview invite. I’ve heard nothing from Simmons yet. So I’m trying to stay optimistic, wanted to go on here and rant and see if anyone has any input or similar experiences.
does anyone know if marymount reached their max amt of applicants?
I am applying for this cycle for DPT programs in Texas. I interviewed for the Texas Tech program in September and I still have not heard back from them. I also applied to UTMB for the residential program and the hybrid program and have not heard back for an interview but also I have not gotten a rejection letter. As well the UNT program I applied and have not heard back for an interview or gotten a rejection letter. Should I just go ahead and assume since we are already in December and I haven’t even interviewed yet that I am out? Anything helps because I am starting to lose hope a little bit
Overall GPA 3.7 Pre Req GPA ~ 3.5 GRE- 300

I just received my first rejection to a school I wanted, and I am feeling pretty discouraged. So far, I have been waitlisted at one other school, still have a couple interviews left, and have not heard back yet from the remaining schools. My GPA is a 3.9, and I have only gotten 2 B’s in anatomy. My GRE scores were 151 Q, 155 V, 3.5 writing. I have 400 shadowing hours in mostly outpatient and some inpatient. I worked as a PT tech and have been in a couple orgs, plus volunteering.
I have been invited to an interview for every school I applied to. Am I really just bombing the interviews that badly? I would think I am a competitive applicant since I have gotten all my interviews, but now I am second guessing everything. The schools should be looking at things holistically, so now I am just confused. Is my application actually not that competitive? And do some schools just base everything off of the interview?
Has anyone taken Accelerated Sciences & Portage Learning?
If so, what was your experience with the test/exam taking? How difficult was it?
I’m planning on taking Chemistry & Physics (both Lec & Lab) since their course is fairly quick. I haven’t done Chemistry nor Physics since High School. Thank you so much in advance!
Anyone planning on attending AT Still starting July?
Hey everyone! I’m currently getting ready to take Amy last couple of prerequisite classes to be able to apply for multiple DPT programs (need Physics 2B and Abnormal Psychology/ possibly Physiology and Microbiology are optional). My community college GPA is 3.5 and my undergraduate GPA is 3.7. My major is a Kinesiology degree with a concentration in Exercise Science. I have zero hours with a Physical therapist (difficult finding one to work with in Sacramento). Could use any advice to help me further prepare!! Harsh and straight to the point advice is welcome.
Hello! I cannot click on both dates. If I click April 29, will I be able to take the exam on both dates April 29 & April 30? Thank you!
Hello all,
I received an email from my top school stating I have been waitlisted. They will not share my ranking on that list so it is a bit up in the air as to where I fall/my chances of getting in. I'm not upset, I consider this a 'maybe' instead of an outright denial (I have high hopes), plus this just solidifies that I am smart enough and my application is great enough for me to even be considered though the class is currently full. So I'm pretty happy regardless of this current situation. I'm still waiting to hear from the other school I applied to, but was wondering if this is an instance where I should send a LOCI a few days from now just to show I'm still eager and interested in getting accepted. In the email they stated I could reach out if I had any questions and so forth so I am assuming I could send a letter of continued interest. Also if anyone had further insight of being waitlisted then accepted (I'm trying to keep my hopes up until the very end).
I got accepted into Carlow, Pitt, ODU, and VCU DPT programs. I’ve visited all of the schools and learned as much as I can about each program. If anybody wants to know anything I’m willing to share what I learned. I intimately decided on attending Carlow next year.
Just got accepted into Carlow, Pitt, VCU, and ODU DPT programs. After visiting every school and learning about all of the programs I’ve decided that next year I will be attending Carlow. If you have any questions about the programs I visited or why I have decided to attend Carlow please ask away.
Hey. I'm taking my 4th attempt next month. Here are my previous scores 1-590; 2-573; and 3-597. This go around, I begin prepping and reviewing 16 weeks ahead of time.I've incorporated 5 practice exams (with them being more focused on the last 8 weeks). I am using multiple study tools including TrueLearn/Picmonic. Any suggestions or advice on how to be successful on this attempt?
Hi everyone!! Just curious if anyone has heard back from GW and if you’ve decided to go there! I had my interview on Nov. 9. :)
Considering working part time as PT, part time as health coach/education for nutrition, too. Has anyone else here done this or have a side business?
Thanks
I haven’t heard anything from them for there residential program in salt lake and was wondering if anyone else has
When I interviewed at Western Michigan last month, they mentioned they will send decisions the week after thanksgiving. Just wanted to have this here to find out when people start hearing!
Anyone get accepted to programs in Indiana? If so can you show your stats for comparison. Just looking to see how competitive my application will be next year.
Has anybody heard back after their interview? Had mine about 2 weeks ago so just curious
Has anyone heard back from UTMB and the University of Washington? I have heard back from all my other schools besides these two
I haven't heard back from anywhere yet and I'm a bit worried and anxioys. Has anyone felt the same? Two schools I applied for said they won't release decisions until January/February but for those that have rolling admissions, they haven't gotten back to me yet. Especially the school I interviewed for on Nov. 1. Idk guys, how are you all feeling?
As a student I'm curious to learn more about your chosen career, what you specialize in, and why (population, conditions, treatments, etc.). I'd also like to learn more about you regarding education that you to your current position and previous employment.
-Sincerely a student wanting to learn more :)
I am under the impression that PT school should only require pre-requisite classes with a certain GPA. An entire bachelor's degree seems pointless. It is a bunch of wasted time and money when students mostly don't need what they learned in their degree for PT school. My friend is becoming a pharmacist and only needs pre-requisite classes. It honestly sucks. The total schooling for PT is about 7 years for most people (undergrad + PT school) and it seems like it could be more efficient and could be done in 3-5 years instead.
Feel free to share your opinion or if you disagree.
Hello!
I am a 3rd year student and have interest in creating an NPTE deck as a prepare for boards. I would like to finish this rather quickly and the best way I can think of doing this is to see if there are any others out there interested.
Since med school is ahead of us in terms of anki I had asked them for guidance on the best way to go about making a deck for a board exam. This was the recommendation
I'd recommend:
start with an organization that is mostly comprehensive (sounds like you have that)
organize it out into a google sheet in small chunks (we did by chapter and subsection for our dermatology deck)
Map out the google sheet with the tags, what deck it should go in (if you want decks), then a place for someone to "sign up" (see photo below)
Decide what note type you want to use (I made fields for the other resources I knew we wanted to make)
Get a group chat. Start making cards. I make everyone first do my free course on making good quality cards at www.theanking.com/free and then send me a few examples first so I can help troubleshoot
Once you have all the basic structure down, start adding extra content, updates, etc.
I have a personal method of creating cards that I think would be rather effective for giving us context to the information while we are tested on it. For my classes, I give chatgpt my textbook or lecture notes telling it to create an outline. Then based off this outline I create anki cards from it. An example of this would be something like:
This format could be nice if we divided up pages of a book to work on. If anyone has interest please let me know! I plan on getting started once the semester is over.
