Hey yโall, looks to me like the potp inner circle has been zucced. Are any of you guys aware of a new home for the problem children?
Notice how Gillespie gets bored with political talk after about 15 minutes? He kept diverting the conversation into personal chit chat.
Perhaps this is why I grew out of Reason. Welch and Gillespie don't seem to be as passionate as anyone at Mises. I've seen dozens of Matt Welch TV appearance and I can't remember him saying anything interesting.
Also Pat Buchanan is far better, far more interesting, than Bill Weld. Nick's attempt to pump up Weld was a little pathetic given the people he scoffed at.
Sort that shit out! It's a deal breaker.
So what did everyone think of it? I felt that it was one of their more... Substanceless episodes.
What guests would you like to see on the show?
Personally I think Milo Yiannopoulos would be a great guest. He has a lot of similar beliefs as Dave, is very knowledgeable, well-spoken, and has that fabulous fair.
No prisoners.
As the first discussion of a specific episode, lets see what everyone has to say.
Personally, i think he shoulda nailed that chick on the episode harder about how she is voting for hillary clinton, and yet Clinton is the single war hawkish candidate running (aside from ted cruz). Like she is the one politician in history to have received the most money from the military industrial complex, and there is just no way she will try and get rid of the spending in defense.
Secondly, I think he shoulda nailed this woman on saying that the reason trump is so big is because "his slogan is all negative". like as dave said, its the exact same kind of slogan as "yes we can" and the only reason this woman thinks its negative, is because she is a huge globalist/pro free immigration. I personally am not a big fan of trump (although i think he beats out all of the establishment candidates, including ted cruz) and i know that dave hates him, but its still important to nail these super liberal people when they are using double think. Helps try to persuade them to seeing how maybe their position isn't exactly awesome.
What did you all think?
I created this because I just could not find a place where everyone could really talk about episodes of Part of the problem. I think it'll be a little bit easier now for people to talk about what they think of the podcast, and maybe if we are lucky, even have some of the people that work for the podcast show up and talk to us. Wouldn't that be nice?
