Like: when will we be getting our schedule?
another thing is that i was also looking for my summer internship which are all in London... what do i do ? take a short term rent in Oxford then move to London?
My sister (international student, MsC sustainable architecture) is searching for an accommodation. She is very much on a budget and want the least expensive option possible.
134 £ seems like a great deal. But I have read some negatives comments on this sub.
Questions:
Is it that unlivable?
Is living on campus much cheaper than sharing a 1 bedroom apartment with her partner~30 mins to 1 hour away?
ANY ADVICE OR TIP would be very grateful
Where would you say is the best place for a first year International student to live?
I got my offer like a week ago. I just noticed it says (sandwich) Oxford Brookes (Oxford campus). Does this mean my course takes place at different campuses or am I crazy and there is only one campus?
Is it possible if I join bsc eco, fin and business management in Jan and in September i tell them I wanna transfer to bsc acc and fin because in Jan only bsc eco , fin and business is open for intakes
Hi there! I'm a writer for The Tab, a news site for UK uni students. I'm writing an article about the really long queues this week for Brookes students to get houses for next year. I was wondering if anyone here had seen this and had any opinions or photos about this? It would be really helpful. Thanks! : )
Hello guys! I'm looking forward to taking up the above mentioned course. I'm super passionate about Automotive and Motorsport and I wish to take it up as a profession. What do you yall think about me choosing Oxford Brookes for the same? Oh and I'm an International Student btw.
How is the MSc in Global Event Management Program? What are the career opportunities in the event management field? Does the UNI provide placement support and internship support? Is it worth it for an international student to enter OBU for this program?
It was a black cat and if you saw it drop a text I was trying to find her a new home
I’m currently enrolled in the MSc International Business Management program, starting in January 2025. I’m reaching out to connect with past or current students of the same course to hear about your experiences, share insights, and learn more about what to expect during the program.
I am an international student and i want to open an account in some bank. which one is the best used for student. need an advice
As in the title: my friend is planning to apply to Brookes and doesn't know which campus to select for halls. They're planning to study Motorsport Engineering and figure best to live nearby.
TIA!
Hi! I'm currently a student studying here at Oxford Brookes, and am looking for cast/crew members to volunteer in my short film! The screenplay is dear to my heart, and I really need some help bringing this story to life! This film will be submitted in some film festivals in oxford and perhaps internationally. You don't need to be a student to get involved :)
Reply to this thread with any questions, or send me a private message!
Just wondering what the course is like, as well as the quality of teaching and job prospects
Heyy so I’m in a flat at Clive and I’m the only girl there ahaha and haven’t made too many girly friends soo pls hmu!!
I’m very open. Have lived around the world in Canada, Barbados, Brazil and Belgium so no stranger to people from varying backgrounds. Enjoy movies, documentaries, spending time in nature and more. Open to meet in Oxford and have a wander around!
So I'm a 16 year old who's planning to do ACCA while in his Alevels. Firstly, I wanted to ask if that would be feasible or it would just increase my workload to an extent I would not be able to cope with. Secondly, OBU offers an honorary degree if your completed certain papers of ACCA. On their site, they said it would be until 2026. I wanted to ask whether this is the last date for it to be possible or will they extend/renew it.
Thanks for reading this!
My friend got conditionally accepted but it says he needs a 4 in AP Physics, is this talking about the grade or the AP test score? We’re American so we don’t know how different things are over there
Hi guys does anyone know any good free parking spots around the uni? I am new so i don’t really know the city that well.
Price is not an issue (preferable under 300)
I'm an architecture major, but I leave most of my equipment in the studio so I don't realy bring them with me.
My concern is storage and ease of use, while I think escooter is a lot easier yo ride here, I don't really trust that i can keep it from being stolen.
Any suggestions?
I am applying for student visa from TLS in spaip.
But they have this on there main website page "⚠ Please be kindly informed that Barcelona is a Premium location and all applicants are charged a Premium Location fee of EUR 300.00. You may find more information about NEW 'PREMIUM' SERVICES FOR VISA APPLICANTS IN SPAIN at the following link."
So does this mean that even if i don't want the Premium services i will be forced to have it and pay 300 euro?
because they said ALL APLICANTS ARE CHARGED..
What should i expect in the CAS shield link? what questions do they ark and why am i limited to 10 minutes?
Any Msc. In Motorsports Engineering/ Automotive Engineering students or alumni here? Need some guidance before I make a final decision to study here.🤞🏽
Hi all, I just got hear through clearing literally yesterday so I missed induction and introductions and all that. So I have no idea how to use moodle or where my schedule is or what tasks I have to do/catch up on (studying psychology btw). Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask are there any freshers who aren’t in a group already and are looking to make friends?
Hi all asking year 2 and 3 students of oxford brookes. How strict is the uni regarding their attendance policy and what are the consequences for a student ti be absent for 1 2 classes in a week?
I am looking for Lebanese students starting there degree in January 2025 entry. What is your plan in such situations? Things are escalating and im afraid that things will shut down soon. The CAS is taking there time. I tried asking them to send me the CAS as soon as possible but i don't think they are understanding our situation in Lebanon.
First year students are guaranteed to stay if they apply, but what are the odds for 2nd and 3rd years?
