And remember, have fun! We are all here to talk/post about Overkill's TWD because we like it and want to share that with like-minded people in a civil/mature setting.

I never got this came when it came about but I love TWD I have been with this franchise since 2010 and am wondering if there is any news on this game….is there any way to still play what remains? :,(
I would like to own this game on Steam but the only places I can find are trying to sell it for $300+ dollars. I understand it's hard to find and I'm willing to pay a premium but $300 is out of this world.
Reina: Sorry I nearly killed you all!
Everyone in Anderson: It's okay! Matter of fact, you can join us!
Me: They all lived happily ever after! For twenty minutes!
What happened with this game is unfortunate. But I feel like the music isn't talked about enough. Composer Gustavo Coutinho did an amazing job making these tracks. The way the game shifts from "eerie" to "all hell breaks loose" is done amazingly. Really helps with the immersion. I think my favorite track is probably A Dish Best Served Cold. Really badass title. Aptly named too for the mission it plays in. Also love that it has bits of what seems to be Reina's theme, I guess signifying that she's on their side by the point this track plays. I know story isn't this game's strongest suit but it's there and I enjoyed the little we got. But I digress.
I should mention I listen to those on the regular.😉
So, AMC once again trys to make game with a Terrible developer.
Let's try to save this game.
This game is legit alot of fun and i honestly think its better than back4blood, so why did it get shut down? all it needed was a bit more polish.
On the latest experimental version of Proton (Build 8022346 at this time), on Manjaro 5.10, the Steam version of OTWD mostly works out of the box with the exception of the loading screen background which is replaced by vertical color stripes. I haven't experienced any crashes so far, will update if that changes.
My FPS is also generally poorer than I'd expect (from what I can tell, 30 FPS-ish with frequent dips and somewhat noticeable input lag), but I don't know if this is a Linux-related issue or not. I run a Ryzen 5 5600X and a GTX 1080. I would appreciate the input of any Windows user with similar hardware.
Overall experience is far from optimal, but we've come a long way since last May (when the game just blackscreened into oblivion), so I'm hopeful for the future.
EDIT: I would have made this its own post, but I can't post anything. As of June 2024, the game runs flawlessly as far as I can tell. I've only played the first mission (and failed) so far, but it's a lot of fun. My hardware has not changed since Jan 2022.
I wana try it for myself but cant find it anywhere, some help on how to get it would be great
like lan?
Also is the amount of xp you get decreased every time you replay a mission?

If you have a GOG account, you can request for the game to come back by pressing the gold + on it. It gets added to a "most voted (this week) Games containing 'the walking dead' " list on it (And also just Most Games voted this week, but that would require a lot of movement)
I never got the chance to play it, but I'm actually really curious and wanna try it out. The cancellation after it's release is pretty mind-blowing to me, as I haven't heard of any similar incidents that I can recall atm.
Also why did they even bother cancelling it and pulling it from release? If it's a bad game, why not just let it exist and try to forget about it (ala "Survival Instinct")
I want to play the game but they took it off of steam and there were never console ports, is there any way that I can play it?
Thank you.
Hey All,
I personally really had fun playing this. I wish they gave it time to polish itself up and what not, but it didn't. I never ended up paying for the game so I don't have a copy. I still have the BETA in my steam library, but can't download it. My question is, can we still get access to it? If so, how do you go about playing it? Any help would be amazing! Thank you all!
I decided to play the game for a little bit again yesterday, and I ended up getting mad searching the internet for hope of season 2. Ended up with insomnia, so I rolled around in bed all night thinking about it. Not only has Skybound stolen my money, but now they've stolen my sleep.
Im looking for a better version of this image as clearly as you can find (if any)
and without the title of the game.
i hope if there is even a version of this art at all.
My steam name is SwangLow, just got the game and it seems like it would be better to play with someone else. Just message me or respond to this. Hope everyone is well.
Many have completely forgotten about this game by now. But I think the tragic history behind this game from beginning to end makes it all that more fascinating. Like an archeologist looking for answers buried beneath the ground, I keep unearthing bits and pieces of documentation that remind me of the many talented people who put their time and effort into making this game, only to have it ruined by a megalomaniac in charge of the project, a hypocritical license holder, shareholders who insisted the game be released before it was 100% ready, relentless internet trolls who bashed the game without even playing it, YouTube influencers looking for easy attention, and a slew of bad headlines in the press. I forgot how I bumped into this, but here is a short dev video I recently discovered. Thought I’d share it with you all. Cheers.
Hello, all. Only got the game a few months ago and I’ve been forced to play solo most of time. Much to my surprise, when I finally found 3 friends to join me on a regular basis, all of them say they can’t see the bounties selection in the camps, even though they have all activated the bounties tier in their skill trees. They need the bounties to get blueprints to level up camp stuff past level 3, so I feel it’s kinda important. A quick Google search led me to a steam thread that mentioned certain ports need to be opened up on the modem for the bounties to show up. Is this true? I have not had any issues with this, but my 3 friends have. Anyone else had or have issues with this and can provide a more realistic solution? Thanks.
The game was originally confirmed to be canon with the same universe as the comic series, but with it's cancellation, is it still canon?
