We just started a 1month project where we have to make a regulator keep an inverted pendulum upright.
I've managed to set up calibration systems for the sensors and PI-regulators for the motors in Simulink. Currently I'm spending lots of time trying to find the correct gain values, and it's actually a snoozefest.
We've only been doing differential equation and Matlab stuff so far into my robotics and controls course. We learned about PID regulators this week, so that was pretty cool.
My only gripe with university so far is that I have to do a lot of research on my own. The compendiums and worksheets given to us NEVER go into any detail.
I'm a first year in controls&robotics. I will be posting more and better memes as I learn more of the curriculum.
We missed 500 exactly, but if we’re lucky, that extra 1 was just overshoot, and we will soon stabilize to 500 in the steady state. NO MORE PLEASE.
