Is anyone actually using the new Outlook? I had to turn it off. What are the benefits of the new one?

I have the following question for you: When I install/open Outlook on my iPhone, it tells me that an account has been found. However, this account no longer exists (I have deleted it). Do any of you know how I can remove this "recommendation"?

I thoroughly tested Outlook's latest feature, Record a Video Message While in Outlook over the weekend. It is a nice feature, but I discovered some watch-outs with:

* How to share your final message properly for internal and external recipients

* How Outlook handles storing the video message on OneDrive for primary and secondary accounts

* Where is the Save Button

* Where does the video clip go when you hit Download vs Add

I also started the video with some best practices for recording a video message rather than typing it.

Outlook for Windows or Office 365- I want to send invitations privately to 500 people for a monthly meeting. Each month, the topic of the meeting changes but the series stays the same. I'd like to be able to change individual meetings. At the same time there are people who might join later. When I add people Outlook asks if I only want them to receive updates or everybody. While I don't want everyhone to get updated every time there is a new add-on (I'm already putting it in private view so they don't see each other) I do want them to see updates to the event title or anything in the body that changes. Do you have any ideas? Your help would be much appreciated!

Links used to turn purple after clicking. Now they just stay blue. I searched google and was not able to find anything.

I know this is not a "breaking" issue, but it just annoys me. Whenever I open a new email, there are 3-4 lines prior to my signature. Am I doing something wrong here?

I have an issue with Outlook. I am not getting any recovery mail from Gmail to Outlook. It is not going to spam folder. I try to recover Gmail account, but Outlook is not recieving emails from Gmail or Google. Domain is not blocked. Also I tested my other Gmail address, Outlook receives it in spam folder, why?

Hello, I need to download my emails in my inbox. I know I can do it "one by one" (PDF exporting) but would like to just download my information in one shot. New Outlook doesn't seem to support this; my attempts to install the older version don't work. Any ideas?

I'm trying to make automatic responses for new mails/contacts on outlook on Mac. I have a few problems though. Because I have made my email adres via a different mail service I can't use all of the features like making a automatic reply on outlook. another problem is also that the people who send me a mail via my website, their messege is mailed to me but not via their mail but by the websites company mail so I can't reply to those mail because I would be sending mails to the company and not my customers. I want to use the automatic reply for when new people message me but also for when people I already know message me but it's about a new subject, so what I mean is they don't get the automatic reply every time they reply to any mails I send them. I know it's a lot but I hope someone knows how I can solve this!

So I'm trying to switch from Outlook on the web to the macOS application. I have the reading pane set to hidden on both... but on the web, that means when I click on an e-mail, it opens in the same window (over the listing of e-mails), whereas in the application it pops out a new window.

Am I just missing a setting? I want it to behave like the web version.

I have a rule that works: New arriving email is set with a category.

(Rule: I'm on the To or CC Line then Categorise email)

If I then reply to the email, clear the category and then receive a reply the category is not reapplied.

Anyone see or got a fix for this?

I'm trying to log into a standard IMAP mailbox with Outlook 365 Classic. Despite checking "configure manually" it insists on logging into a Google account. In full fairness, that address was once (years ago) hosted on Google Workspace, but I have checked all records and there is no configuration pointing at Google anymore.

Also, when I press Cancel I get to adjust the configuration and add the correct server and everything, but then it claims the credentials are wrong even though I know they aren't. When I press "Try again" it again fills in the standard Google configuration, deleting what I just wrote.

Very frustrating. What can I do about this?

Hi, I appreciate most users here probably use the desktop application rather than the browser version, but I move between different computers a lot and just prefer using the browser version.

I get spam now more than ever, it's relentless, I'm talking like 20 spam emails a day. It's hard to find my actual mail. I know you can setup rules to clear out things that meet a particular criteria, and I have found a correlation between the spam emails, but sadly the rules don't seem to allow for this...

Basically every single spam email has "[fake name]" including the quotation marks, as their display name. However there doesn't seem to be an option to filter by this field? If I could just add one simple rule that says From contains " then I'd be sorted. But I seemingly can't. Any suggestions? I've heard there can be workarounds for this in the desktop version, but let's pretend that's not an option for now.

I have a Microsoft Business 365 Account and use the Android Outlook app. I can sync my calendar and my contacts so I can use them natively but the contacts don't stay syncing (the calendar does). I have to slide the sync slider on and off in the android settings which force a sync but it doesn't sync again. Any ideas anyone?

I'm using M365. I would like to set-up a family calendar and transfer the meeting from the family calendar directly to my work calendar. Preferably as a private appointment. For example:

1. Enter "Bring kids to doctor" 5pm to 6pm as an appointment in my family calendar
2. Block out a corresponding 5pm to 6pm private appointment in my work calendar to prevent overbooking

Soo my mom has been using Office for 20+ years now (with the same license for 10+ years, lol). I have forced her to update to a newer Version for the obvious reasons. As it‘s just partially working, she now uses her ionos log in for emails, which is fine but we have already bought the new Office license so I‘m trying to make this work. Enough about this rant & backstory, now to the problem:

The main problem is that the folders do not update on her version. I am logged in with Outlook on my MacBook and it works perfectly (I logged myself in with the smpt details/ imap). Note: Additionally, I have a M365 mailbox via my university. Maybe that helps? She also has the desktop version and is logged in with the same details (minus M365). Btw, incoming emails update fine.

I have searched through the Internet and couldn‘t find anything the helped so I came to the most obvious place seeking for help. :)

Tldr: My moms Outlook does not update the folders and I‘m looking for a Solution. She is logged in with smtp Details/ imap.

Please let me know if you need more information as I am a total noop in this field.

I have fixed this before, but it returned to capitalizing the first word of every line. All the help answers I've seen seem to be outdated. Anybody know?

So I'm not even sure if the is the right place to be asking his, but I don't know where else to go.

I have my email app on my Android phone, and I have 3 different emails in it, so I can normally access all 3 emails with no problem. Recently the app said my accounts needed to be reconnected, so I just had to put in the passwords for them, and problem solved for all but one. It WILL NOT reconnect my Live account!!! I just keep getting the following message:

"[IMAP] Your username or password was incorrect. If you have two-step verification, make sure you're using your app-specific password."

I am able to sign into my email on my computer, so I KNOW it is not the wrong password! Also have no idea what it means by "app-specific password" for the two step verification. My password is my password, I don't freaking understand what you MEAN!!!

Omg, please, I still need to access this email often, and don't wanna have to struggle to only use it on my PC or in a god forsaken website tab on my phone, it's horrible!

Every time I download an attachment Outlook opens it in a separate preview pane. Is there a way to turn that off?

My email has been hacked and locked. Everytime I try to unlock the account I put my number in and it says try another authentication method but there isn't any other. I've waited a day but still nothing. Is my account gone? I need to get into my email to secure everything else. Any help is appreciated.

I created a hotmail email back in middle school, my first email account ever. I used it for everything, even as a back up for another accounts, and suddenly Microsoft brings the "suspicious activity in my account" message and now I cannot log in.

The thing is, all the info I put while creating it was made up, and the phone number is lost forever. So I cannot get a text message or fill the recovery form correctly, as I don't remember anything I put in there, just the name and it wasn't real either.

I post it on Microsoft Answers, I already contacted support twice and they just said they couldn't do anything about it.

I don't recall activating 2FA, but while creating the account they forced me to put a phone number.

I hope somebody can help me with this :( thanks in advance.

Hello when i was on mac 15.1 or .2 it was fine but i updated the os and istalled outlook again (not sure if the problem from which one) all inboxes stopped syncing when the app is closed (apparently nothing working in the background to fetch emails) not sure if this an os issue or from microsoft please help

Windows only sent me a email to me when they got in. But I changed my password right after and added Microsoft Authenticator. They cannot login now without having access to my phone now right? Or should I take more steps to secure my account further.

I can't seem to be receiving any emails since 8am this morning (from my phone app and pc). I tried logging out and login back in, still the same. Is anyone else having trouble connecting to the server? What can i do to fix this?

Hello - for last 2x days I am trying to reset password on my outlook but once I do human verification - pass successfully - nothing is happening. If I reload page - it is asking me to re send code gain and then goes to error saying that I asked code too many times today. Help how can I get my ACC back?

I went to access my account today and I noticed I had been signed out, both on the web and my windows 10 account had unsynced. Logged in with password, said it was wrong. Went to reset password, verification app part of security worked, but it then asked to email back up email with code, it said it couldn't do it, tried with mobile number to get text, said that option was not available.

Is this an issue on microsofts end or have I been hacked? Doing an account recovery and just waiting now.

I have 3 emails that is locked me out of my account and won't let me back in. This happen when i was on vacation outside my country. After couple of days opened my mobile outlook app then i got a message to login again for all three emails and when i tried I got a message that is locked and forwarded me to question my informations and when i answered most of them since those emails around 20 years ago the emails still locked. Those emails have most of my important emails during those long years and it is very important. I need help.

I have an old e-mail that I created around 2009 but one day I forgot the password after not using it for a while. I check if it got deleted so I can create another account with that name here and there but Outlook always says the account exists.

I wonder if the problem is that I check it every now and then instead of waiting for 2 years straight cause that might have counted as an activity which prevented deletion. Has anyone had their old email deleted due to inactivity?

I have recently installed outlook on my android. No matter what I do, I don't recieve any notifications from Outlook app.

Anyone faced these issue?

Not sure what's occurring here, but here are the specifics:

On premises, Exchange 2019.

User: smith@domain.com cannot login to Outlook for Android, will be presented with An Error Occurred During Authentication. However, this same user, with the same credentials, can login via OWA, Outlook on a Desktop and configure Outlook on iOS with no issues.

Conversly, some users with the same format such as john@domain.com using the same exchange 2019 server can authenticate and use Outlook for Android with no problem.

The only thing I can think of is that the user smith@domain.com had a different UPN at one point, and was moved to the new UPN whereas smith@domain.com always had the new UPN and never the old (ad.domain.com).

View the attributes, the two users have the same structure so I'm at a loss. Outlook support was no help.

Any ideas? I used the connectivity analyzer and everything passed - and since the user in question is working on iOS outlook I suspect something else is going on
