Absolutely delicious but can definitely split it with someone — 4.95. Looks dark on top but tasted perfect and the texture was super fudgy.
They don’t have it on the main menu but it is SO GOOD. I’ll be stocking up for my freezer.
Med Supper Club has a Roach 🪳 infestation and for months couldn't even get a business license for that reason.
I often don't feel like eating and so to encourage myself I will try to pick foods with little prep. I love sandwiches. and sometimes I want them on white bread (the forbidden bread). I bough a loaf of dempster white and it had no flavor :(
as the title says i have a date and i need help thinking of some ideas of where we could go. i want to take this girl somewhere nice but i’m kinda broke, i’m saving up a bit for this but what restaurants would you guys recommend that are nice but won’t cripple my wallet
Visiting Ottawa for the day tomorrow, any suggestions on kid friendly Korean BBQs that are open for lunch? Both kids under 5. Would the make us pay for them? Also open to fun things to do for kids.
Looking for the best frozen soups in Ottawa as cold season approaches
I was diagnosed with Celiac disease this week and I am seriously heartbroken. I used to pride myself on having delicious and lesser known restaurant ideas for friends and family. It feels like I have to restart this journey with this diagnosis and wanted to ask the community where I should start. I’m more interested in inventive gluten free dishes than replacements for what I can’t eat. Please let me know your spots!
TLDR: I cry because I can’t eat gluten, need new spots.
Well, it looks like Seoul Dog closed… are there any other corn dog places I should know about?
Because it's warm this evening, I wanted to go eat some good wood fire pizza on a patio. I tried Giulia (Elgin) and Tennessy Willems but their patios are closed. Any thoughts?
Apparently this cake has been discontinued. I realize it’s not gourmet but if anyone has any idea on where to find it or something similar that would be greatly appreciated.
What’s the best or your favourite burger you’ve had in Ottawa? (preferably halal, as I’d like to go with some friends aswell)
Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find coconut cult in Ottawa ? Here is a picture for reference
Has anyone been yet? In the cursed former OB&O/Mont Tacos/Centrale Bergham/Shawarma House on Carling Avenue near the Coliseum. Menu is bizarre..."Modern Indian Eatery" with everything from indian food, pasta, pizza sandwich, fries, burgers and Chinese food on there.
I am wondering if there would be some interest in the Ottawa/Gatineau area for renting a freeze dryer machine or paying to get it done?
(I bought one for myself, but I understand some people might be interested since it's quite an upfront cost)
This place just opened and I'm excited they're here. The food is affordable and delicious and the staff is friendly. Has anyone else been there yet? Let us know what you think!
Hey everyone, can someone please suggest a good place for a birthday dinner on a Tuesday? I keep saying Tuesday cause I have looked at 3 places so far and all of them are closed on Tuesday so far. I am looking for something different than traditional dinner. I have looked at Katha and Dine in the dark kinda experiences, both closed on Tuesday… A little context… we are looking for someplace that is either halal friendly or offers a good vegetarian selection.
As the title says, my sister in law loved these buns but obviously cannot get them any more. She's not a fan of cinnamon, so we're not looking for cinnamon rolls with pecans. I've never had them so I can't describe further, but I know for a fact they were from the Rideau Bakery.
Does anybody know where we can get something similar? Individually because we don't want a whole pan of them!
Hey, heading over to Ottawa this weekend. Looking for recommendations for some classic poutine and a good burger. Always a fan of the local joints over some commercialized big corp. spot.
Going to Riviera to celebrate our 20th anniversary tonight. First time there. What are the must-haves?
UPDATE: thanks to everyone for your suggestions. We had a lovely time. And yes, mushrooms on toast were divine. Also had steak frites, lobster spaghetti and pavlova. Delish. Wonderful service and cool vibe. Perfect for an anniversary dinner.
Title.
On the most recent episode of the Great Canadian Baking Show, they made Korean garlic cream cheese buns: https://www.cbc.ca/life/greatcanadianbakingshow/recipes/korean-garlic-cream-cheese-buns-1.7356638
Would really love to try one by an authentic baker. Does anyone know where I can get in Ottawa?? Appreciate any tips.
Thank you!
Anyone remember the original Lone Star Cafe from the late 80's and 90's before they changed everything about the place.
Hey Ottawa! Looking to take someone special on a bubble tea date and want to find the perfect spot in downtown. I’m after a place with great flavors and an amazing atmosphere. Any recommendations for the best boba spots around?
