Starting out organic

Hello everyone. I am new to eating organic. I am trying to be as toxin free as possible while not completely breaking the bank. With that being said: what are some things you absolutely only buy organic and what are some things you can get away conventionally?? I am trying to follow the dirty dozen but I’m curious on peoples opinions regarding organic meat and starches (like pasta, oats etc due to glyphosate) thank you in advance :)

What oil is thin enough to be sprayed out of a bottle?

I need a good oil that is safe to rub on my skin. I'm making natural bug repellant with lemon eucalyptus oil and I need something I can add to it and put it into a small spray bottle.

I'll be using it while running so rubbing a lotion on won't due because it is an inconvenience. A spray is perfect because I can spritz myself while running.

I also already have the L. Eucalyptus that I need to use up so I'm not going to just buy ready made LE spray online.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Organic clothing

Anyone have luck finding organic clothing that isn’t boring? I’ve searched and searched and a lot of the cuts and designs are just basic and i want some more modern options. The best i’ve found are probably from Organic Basics and Quince for organic cotton options. I’ve tried Pact, Industry of All Nations, Wear Kent, Colorful Standard, and a few others for 100% organic cotton clothing but the styles are so boring.

Are modern beds bed?

Hey, i have watched some videos on YT lately about beds. They say that they are bad for the body, because they are too soft? And also they have alot of chemicals in them. I am thinking to just get a thin matress on the floor. Anyone else thinking about this?

Organic Food

I am sure the term “organic” means something to you.

If you consume organic food, in small or large quantities, I would like to ask you to answer the following survey: https://qfreeaccountssjc1.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8vOTNXbof7N3IA6

The same arises within the scope of my Master's Thesis and aims to understand consumer behavior in relation to organically produced food.

You can also earn 20€ to spend at an organic food store of your choice!

Thank you in advance for your availability :)

Aside from showing support to local farmers, the environmental and economic benefits are worth trying out a short food supply chain.

So frustrating! Fragrance pollution is EVERYWHERE!

I’ve noticed a strong fragrance in the air and on items EVERYWHERE. The best way I can describe it is it’s the same strong smell you encounter when you walk into a Bed Bath and Beyond store. Is this Febreze or some other air freshener or is it some kind of fragranced cleaning chemical or pesticide?

I know it’s been going on for many years now but lately, it seems to be getting worse. I can no longer go to movie theaters because it’s on the seats and clings to my clothes and hair afterward. It’s now getting so bad that I‘m running into it in most stores. The other day, a box of frozen food I brought home from the grocery store had this fragrance.I know one culprit is those horrible scented dryer sheets. Whenever my neighbors do laundry (which is often) we‘re subjected to those horrible perfumes.

Since most people have plug-in air fresheners or scented dryer sheets, they‘ve become nose deaf and don’t notice what I’m talking about (and give me a strange look for even bringing it up). Since these chemicals make me feel sick to my stomach, it makes me think they can’t be good for you. Does anyone else have this issue or is it just me?
