Why does fresh squeezed Orange juice taste like chemicals?

Is it pesticides? Oranges from Chile were un drinkable. Us Valencia Oranges were "okay" but still a mild chemical taste. What in the world is going on here?

Round seed

I was eating a cup of oranges and found a round, slightly green looking ball. Anyone know what it is?
