When I open opentoonz on my drawing tablet everything gets huge so I can't see most tabs I was wondering if I can make the tabs smaller or something.
I've just began using OpenToonz today and I've already run into an issue. When I try to import an image, it doesn't appear to show up at all, then if I make a new frame and try to draw anything a new window opens labeled "Warning", which reads "Run out of contiguous physical memory: please save all and restart Toonz!" I originally tried to import a 183 KB image, but after it broke the first time I tried a 25 KB image. Still no dice. I have 50 free GBs of space and if I take a look at task manager, while running Opera GX, OpenToonz and a handful of other apps, I'm only using 58% of my memory. If anyone has a solution that lets me actually import an image without everything breaking, please answer.
I want to make this canon throw the ball but no tutorial has helped me,can someone lend a hand
when i have more than 9 layer my undo and redo start crashing it undo thing that i didnt do and it mess up my entire animation it a sort of setting
I am in desperate need of an animation.I need a really simple animation of a basketball going inside a hoop for a project. If you can help me please I need it before Wednesday
It works 95 percent of the time, but crashes when I move a certain anchor point. Is there a solution for this?
Hello Today i just installed open toonz but every time I try to open it give me an error message like this any advice is appreciated
Btw shout out to the "ink" brush. Literal pencil tool for Raster levels and I love it
Like 2d drawings with kritka. That has many layers. But for opentoonz, does it have before final product or art piece? Before you start animating?
Transparency check on - lines show up
transparency check off - no lines show up
onion skin works in the view finder(?) on the right
I'm new to OpenToonz and animation as a whole so no idea if this is a bug or something simple i'm missing. I've tried searching similar issues but can't find a solution.
I was working on my animation and suddenly onion skin wouldn't show up in Col2 when it was working fine previously. The onion skin works fine in my notes column and in the view thing on the right but this one column suddenly stopped working.
When I copy and paste the cells into the column that DOES work it stops working so it's the cells that are the issue.
I also found that transparency check was on and turning it off removed all my lines completely and rendering it out shows just a blank page.
I've tried 'extend onion skin to scene' a bunch of different ways but I don't think that's the issue. I've no idea how to make my cells un-transparent again and any help would be greatly appreciated so I dont lose 15+ hours of work.
Is anyone else having trouble with gif exports? I'm not sure why, but every time I try to export to a gif nothing gets exported, even though it says it rendered something. Weirdly enough mp4s are fine. Is there a fix for this?
So I am still a relative newbie to opentoonz and have just taken my first steps into using FX to create lighting.
I was happily using the light spot moving it around and changing its shape until I wasn't. There was a message that came up as locked when I tried to move it and my pink crosshairs disappeared. I then spent an embarrassingly long time figuring out why...
In the Fx Schematic under the little eye shape on your Fx there is a square inside a circle. This Locks your Fx in place if you click on it and greys out. Click on it again and unsurprisingly you can move it again.
So I guess this is a public service announcement so it doesn't have to take you an embarrassingly long time to figure it out!
Happy Sunday
im new to all of this, so is there a setting i need to look for on the output settings? any help is appreciated...
hello! i need help. what kind of drawing tablet should i buy that is compatible with opentoonz?
tyia!
I need to have this animatic finished for a class project, I was trying to scale an image but for some reason it made ALL MY FRAMES scale so far from the camera view,, HELP PLEASE
I tried using the animate tool to fix this but it's making it worse somehow.
I open up opentoonz to start a project and I get an audio that’s about 1000 frames long in a 24 fps project and I create a simple animation in it that lasts 100 frames. I save the project then the next day resume the project to start on another frame. But the moment I touch the screen to draw, the program freezes then crashes. I proceed to open it back up and try again. But no success. The program won’t let me even draw anything else without it crashing. Is this normal? And is there anyway to fix it??
I noticed there's a significant enough dip in audio and volume upon rendering. Is there a way so that the audio quality stays or close to staying the same as the original source?
I have seen Darren T's video about audio and he mentions having the option to just render out the animation and have it combined with the audio using a separate software? What software have you used for this solution? Preferably free like Opentoonz. I don't need to edit audio. Just need it to retain quality
Is there any way to make the lightspot turn on and off? I want to put it over a lamp and make it blink.
when i animate, i realise i have an problem where like, i do 2 or 3 seconds of an animation and i think work is done or i stop for being tired of doing that(not physcally doing it, or psciologically, just like, bored or sick of doing.), sometimes is even something simple like just an character raising his hand like he is gonna put an spell and the whole body is static and he only needs to erase and redraw the hand, im not happy with that. you all know something to make the process faster or... keep me on the tracks of keep doing it?
For my first attempt at this, I made a Toonz raster level and then cloned it twice to get a 'just lines' layer and a 'just fills' layer. Then I made three separate raster levels for detailing and this worked fine for the drawing. Cleanup was a pain though -- I used large brushes, so there was a lot of colouring outside the lines that had to be tidied up before moving on. At this point the only thing left is the bushes and trees and such, and I can use a small enough brush to stay inside the lines anyway.
So I made a second scene just to work on masking. Based on this post here I went with texture and not matte, but I really have no idea if that choice matters. If I'm manually slapping the lines over the top of the masked and recombined layers, would there be any fringing anyway? (Also the reason it's just text is because it took me so long to get it working that I got fed up trying to be pretty.)
So, masking is definitely better, but is there something better than masking that I should be using to organise details / texturing / highlights / lowlights / whatever?
Thanks.
I'm having a problem with opentoonz, I can't import any audios or at least if I am, I can't see them. I have downloaded ffmpeg, I have tried using wav and aiff files, but nothing will work. Does anybody know what's wrong?
