Hi. I just got opentoonz and am looking for an efficient way to colour with the bucket fill tool on a different column. My plan was to was to have filled lines under empty lines but when I fill one the other changes as well. Please help.

I am using OT 1.7.1 and trying to export my 113 frame animation into a GIF file. The problem is, when I press render, it shows the progress bar and everything, but when i check the folder it exported to, nothing new is there. I've repeatedly changed the folder it should be exporting to, but nothing has happened. Is there a solution?

I’ve tried for HOURS to get the app to connect to my headphones. Bluetooth doesn’t work, cables headphones don’t work! It’s even more infuriating because every other app on my Mac plays audio through the headphones with no problem!

Audio is absolutely crucial for my project, so this is a very big deal. I desperately need some help here to figure out what the hell is going on. I’m new to this but this is so weird because I’ve never seen anything like this happen before in my whole life! I am so close to just giving up entirely on this app, so please, I need some advice here.

I tried converting the project folder into a ZIP one and put it in my USB to extract it in another computer, but it always says that the project doesn't exist and that there are files missing.

I've searched for solutions in Google and I couldn't find anything about the 1.7 ver. -I thought that it could've had had to do with that, because the advices I used didn't actually work-. I also thought that it could've also been because I'm trying to work in my school's computer (with the 1.5 ver), that doesn't allow me to export everything properly because I need the admin's password. But I'm not sure.

I like OpenToonz but it's not very stable and some basic features seem to be missing, so I'd like to try another similar 2d animation program. My issue is, the only other program I know is ToonBoom, which is crazy expensive!

I don't mind paying for a software, but I'm not a fan of the "subscription" thing and 30€/month for the BASE version (and 136€/m for the premium one) is... too much? I'm only animating for fun, not for work, so yeah I'd like something cheaper than that. If possible, I'd like something that's a one-time buy. I've been trying to look for alternatives but most websites don't make a difference between frame per frame, 3d etc.

this is my first time ever working with opentoonz, so i have no clue what to do lol.

as said above, opentoonz crashed on me mid-save. i tried trouble-shooting (with the help of tutorials) but there are literally no backup files for my levels. there are files for that level in the right directory, but they don't work, so they must be corrupted.

the adjustments in position etc that i made for each frame are obviously still there, but no matter what i try to "replace levels" with, they still stay red. is there a way for me to just get another level in there somehow and keep the frames the same, so that i don't lose all my work? i'm really stumped cause this animation took me like 90min (yes i know i shouldve saved in between..), so i'd love if i wouldn't have to redo everything...... :(

edit: i fixed it somehow? inserted a new drawing level into the two frames that weren't red, then opened a new column and created just as many frames as in the column with the red levels. set the levels to the same in both columns and boom, magically, my frames were all back and my animation was saved (thank god).

idk exactly what i did and how this worked + my drawing was really simple, but i thought i'd update in case anyone runs into a similar problem in the future!

I got a kind of tourbox and as I was setting up my keys and stuff, I noticed there seemed to be no way to set the rotation on one of the round buttons, the ones you spin you know. Am I missing something? I wanted a tourbox almost exclusively for that feature because currently rotating my canvas is a pain :(

Hey! I am currently using a chromebook and i have installed Opentoonz. However my pen pressure sensitivity isnt working! And yes i have tried enabling Touch Gesture Controls. Does anyone have the same problem or know how to fix it? Thanks a lot!

for a project, i needed to upload a video into opentoonz to draw over it, but the file and file type required for the project is mp4. i downloaded ffmpeg and connected it to opentoonz but it didnt work, and i found out i needed to get opentoonz experimental because regular opentoonz is a snap(??) version and doesnt work with ffmpeg ? i can only find otx to download on github, but i have no idea how to download the software from the page and i cant find a video to help

the instructions on the page say to download the file opentoonz-otx-win.zip, but i cannot find a .zip with that name and i dont know what to do :(

So i tryed mostly everything and i still cant figure out why that opeentoonz software IS so hard on memory utilisation.

I Can have 30go ram utilisation just with an animation with like 4-5 culumns and as little as 200 Frames its already going nuts and very slow and hard to use it smooth.

Does other software like adobe animate etc have same problèms ?

I even tryed to update my computer to 32ram and problèms persist.

I only use Vectors and raster level.

I'm having an issue where once I load a file and do any editing, it freezes up at a random command and time. Once it freezes no amount of waiting will allow it to recover. I can save any changes made but I'm working for at most 2 minutes before crashing. Auto save will also cause it to crash. As far as I know i haven't updated anything since install a year back. The file itself has less than 50 frames total. Gaming pc as well so it's not a weak system issue. Plus i've been working on opentoonz for a year already so I'm stumped as to how this developed. Only new change to the system is a new mouse. If anyone has any fixes or insight please let me know.

I want to use Opentoonz for animation because i kinda decided to give up on trying to find a cracked adobe animate

OpenToonz is kinda good looking alternative but the problem is that the icons and shit are taking up space on my screen and i would have to make the canvas small to get it to fit as well

does anyone know how i can fix this?

Hello! I'm fairly new to Opentoonz, and I ran into a problem.
Right now I have two Raster columns, Background and Midground, with Background being underneath Midground on the XSheet.
I want to resize a drawing in the Background to make it bigger while making Midground smaller for that camera effect I forgot the name of
But when I use the animate tool and change the Z of the background, it lays over the Midground. I've countered this by using the select tool, but its not as smooth as animate would have it.
Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you

Hi there so i just dont understand how my ram saturate, earlier my scène were saturating and Bégin to lag/crash at 11go ram with a 1700 Frames scene , so i updated my computer to now 32go . And now the exact same scène with same number of Frames go to 29go and it crash/l'AG/slow again while i bought 32go of ram.

I just dont understand, my setting are in high performance, i dont use render to gain speed, yet everytime my scènes take crazy amount of memory ram ?

I only use one audio and like 5-6 culumns of Vector and rasters mixed
