My girlfriend and I watched the entire series for the first time this year and loved it. It's crazy to me how much better sitcoms over there aged compared to the ones over here in the US where I'm from.
A bit of self promotion here for my shop I just opened, but also I had a lot of fun drawing them and was happy with how they turned out, and just wanted to show off the art here.
For the second one specifically, I'm manga panel inspired art and the Japanese there is word that translates to "cosmic."
How do OFAH fans feel about the three Christmas Specials from 2001 to 2003? I have watched them once and I won’t ever watch them again. For me they were a huge mistake. “Time on Our Hands” closed the show perfectly. The three specials that aired in 1996 were a bit naff, but the final episode gave fans exactly what they wanted. I thought the three specials from 2001 - 2003 were utterly awful. The actors were too old, key actors were missing, the writing was dreadful and the jokes were tired and cringy. The episode where Rodney dresses up as a gladiator is too hard to watch. It must have been humiliating for Nicholas Lyndhurst. It was clearly deliberate because Nicholas Lyndhurst is the antithesis of a gladiator. It would have given most viewers a good laugh, but he must felt so self conscious filming those scenes.
Do OFAH fans enjoy the final three episodes? If so, which one do they like the best?
Hello,
I'm aware that the following documentaries/specials are generally available:
But cannot find the following on-line:
Anyone able to help please 🙂
Thanks
If yes, what was it like? I know they had a comedian on before to warm up the audience. How long was you there for?
Are the scenes in Dels flat filmed in a studio? If so, how did they do the view/scenery of outside the flat window/door balcony?
Albert knew FtF and obviously knew he was Rodney's father. It later transpired that he drunkenly told Del one night when he'd had a bit to drink. So this begs the question as to why he never told Del up front from the beginning. Was he scared Del wouldn't believe him or worse that he thought he was being disrespectful of his mother. The paternity, particularly that of Rodney, was brought up earlier in their lives with Grandad, referring to a time where Joan Trotter "met new friends" during a tumultuous time in her marriage. It was always known they likely had different fathers, especially given the blazing disparity in their respective builds. All the older characters would have seen FtF and his striking comparison to Rodney but no one opened their mouth, not even family. Aunt Reen wasn't really a family member but could have told Del, so could the Driscoll heavy Del spoke to who told Del that FtF had a kid with the married woman on Nelson Mandela estate. I mean a Driscoll bodyguard would have no qualms telling Del, what consequences would he face if he had shared all. I know it's fictional and these things happen in scripts but I find it fascinating how no one really talks about it until Rodney finds the old Jolly Boys' Outing picture and puts it together. Thoughts?
It’s time for that legendary Friday 14th episode
Whilst watching the episode “A Hole In One” this evening I noticed when Uncle Albert is called to the stand they confirm he lives at 368 Nelson Mandela House, Dockside Estate. In other episodes they often refer to living on the Nyrere Estate. Am I missing something or is this just a writing error/oversight?
Im starting over, well hopefully, i can only locate series 1 episodes that have been untouched, i can see the rest from a couple of sources, but they have been messed with, ideally i want original untouched episodes that havent been through any software, i should of got the magazine boxset a few years back off ebay, now there going for about £150, madness
Thanks for pointing out the quality difference (sorry forgot user name) he compared mine to someone who did the 1st episode a year or two back and even after using his topaz settings i couldnt replicate his quality, then it dawned on me the MP4 files i was using were compressed alot and have lost quality, this was confirmed when i redownloaded episode 1 again as mpeg (about 10 times the size) but there was a good difference in quality..anyway im not happy with the original tries so ive deleted everything..would love to know if any one has the episodes untouched backed up to share, thanks
Doubtful it would have the same impact of they were old to begin with but just think...

took the best part of 4 hours to do this episode, it looks really good where the outside shots have been filmed, but back in the flat, not so much, not bad but no where near as pukka(I think this is down to the film quality used on/off location), anyway give it a watch(unless you really hate it alot) as always feedback welcome
(GPU is not sounding the best anymore, serves me right for buying ex mining off ebay, i will try to do more and also see what is on the black friday offers)
(Make sure if you want to keep any episodes to download to your pc and backup as i cant guarantee how long ill have google one cloud storage package for)
