Hi I just moved to Oklahoma from nebraska and I’m interested in getting my med card. I have a rental agreement and utilities do I need to get an Oklahoma D.L if my Nebraska one is still good standing?
Hey y'all,
I did a search in the subreddit and noticed nobody had said anything about this place.
It is off 33rd & Santa Fe. It is a little tricky to find but the trick is to look for the building with a dark brown sign hanging.
The beers are super smooth and the flavors are ridiculous.
I highly recommend it.
In SW OKC through Friday morning. In downtown Tulsa Friday evening.
I'll be in Tulsa and OKC for the holidays and need to liquidate some Chicago "empty collectibles" before I move back to Oklahoma next month. I can meet in SW OKC the 23rd-25th and in downtown Tulsa on the 28th. Not looking for trades as I have too much and don't want to pay movers to move it. If you're interested in any of the below, PM me and we can chat.
VSOR 4 pack, VSOD 4 pack (can do this twice) , Strawberry Jacket b2 4 pack, Prop '19, BCBS '14 4 pack, Benthic/Vanilla Benthic/Apple Brandy Benthic 3 cans (one of each).
There is plenty of BCBS in Chicago, both singles and the three year vertical collection, if anyone wants me to mule some back. Also Begyle's GABF gold winning BA Imperial Pajamas is still available and I think it's as good as BCBS (for less cost). Happy to mule that as well.
I know I literally just posted about Stonecloud, but as I was heading home I remembered Lively opened their taproom today, so I stopped by.
Just finished a taster of their American Pale Ale, and it was pretty easy drinking. Currently trying their Imperial IPA, which as you can probably guess has a little more flavor to it, but I’ve definitely gotten a good first impression of Lively!
This is the last day of their seven days of stouts, and they’ve got all seven on tap right now. Callahan’s Hot Dog cart is out front, not sure how much longer they’ll be here though.
Edit: Callahan’s was clearing out as I was leaving but still lots of good beer
As the title says, I’m going to be flying into OKC soon and might have a little downtime to have a beer or two. Any brewery or bar that I should look to stop at? I like just about every style of beer except for sours.
Edit: Thanks so much for all the responses! I didn’t end up having a ton of time but I made it to Stonecloud. The beer was good but the only thing was it seemed like everybody there knew each other so maybe it’s not the best place for out-of-towners. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to come back and try some of the other suggestions.
Crossed Cannons posted on their Instagram earlier today that they’re moving to Campus Corner in Norman. From searching online City of Norman records, they’ll be moving into the space at 333 W. Boyd, directly across from OU and the application and building plans show there will be a kitchen on-site, outdoor patio, and a venue for live music. Not sure about a timeframe for opening, but their Instagram post just said 2020.
Get stoked, Norman. Another brewery is on the way.
Do any breweries in the Tulsa area have any low carb beers? I know I can always drink Michelob ultra at any bar but I want to find a local option. Anyone know of any?
Hey friends. Last month I had this dopey idea to create a YouTube channel called 'Ryan Drinks A Beer' as a way to showcase our local booming beer scene. I didn't really have a plan when I started it, but the videos were fun to do and always a good excuse to drink a beer so I just kept making them, with no real idea of what would come from them. I live in the OKC metro so I've covered all the breweries here in the 405, and as many as I can find from the Tulsa breweries who distribute to us, with intentions of traveling up the turnpike as soon as possible to get the beers who we can't find in stores down here.
The intention was simply to enjoy a beer with no reviews, no critiques, no opinions, just chilled out videos of drinking as many good beers as possible and having fun doing it. My wife recently went on a trip to South Carolina to visit friends and family and brought back some of their local beers, so I've now expanded outside of exclusively covering Oklahoma breweries, but figured I would share it with you folks all the same and hope you all enjoy.
Here's a link to my channel if you feel like checking it out.

Hello! I currently live in Oregon and I’m trying to get my hands on MmmHops, the coveted beer created by the Hanson brothers. I would be willing to mail something as a trade or just pay for the entire cost of shipping+a lil extra.
So I get into Tulsa around noon tomorrow. I see both American Solera and Prairie don't open until later. What's a good place to get some beer and some food?
Irks me that I may not get to either place because of this. Last time I came to town, none of it existed.
What is your favorite Oklahoma Brewery and beer? I like Coop and Saturday Siren is my favorite by them.
Hey everyone, I'm driving down from Chicago to visit family in Oklahoma this weekend. Will be in Tulsa Saturday evening, Edmond (at the Patriarch) Sunday late afternoon, and SW OKC/Tri City until the 25th. I've got loads of Revolution Deths Variants (Cafe, Vanilla, Code Switch, Currants and a couple VSOJ's) and BCBS Variants (Midnight OJ, Bramble, Wheatwine, Prop 18, Northwoods 17) that I'd like to offload. There isn't much I'm interested in trading for right now but PM me if you're interested in anything I'm bringing. Regular BCBS is also still available up here and I can bring that down if people are still in need.
Other than FB's Oklahoma Beer Trader ISO:FT, are there any other active trading/selling groups for Oklahoma beers?
I was bored today and booked two nights in a hotel for this coming weekend in OKC (driving up from Austin). I really have no plans except for I am staying near Bricktown and want to hit up some local beer and food places.
What are the current must hit breweries around OKC? I assume they will include Roughtail, Prairie, and maybe COOP? What are some of the better small ones?
Beer Bars: Looks like Oak & Ore and possibly Tapwerks? What other ones?
Food: What local places are must eats? I know it is a generic questions, but if you had to pick some great places to try some food for any meal of the day, i am all ears. Preferably nothing over the top price wise, but some everyday food places.
I know there is a beer summit going on in OKC this weekend, but don't think I will be making that (not sure we want to spend the $150 on tickets). We may try to hit up the after party since we will know some people there already.
Edit: Looks like I will be going to the summit event regardless. Change of plans there, so at least I will get to try many of the local offerings there.
