born and raised oceanside native here. due to the rising cost of… welll everything.,. my partner and i are debating moving out of state. i really don’t want to and would rather save more to afford to live on our own (currently living with my parents). my question is does anyone know of some somewhat reasonable apartments (under 2250) in the oceanside or tricity area?? we’re not that picky on location but 1b/1b allows pets. i’m not finding anything but when in doubt ask reddit amirite?

Looking to move to an apt near balderrama park. My GF and I walked around the neighborhood and it seemed ok. We're coming from mission hills area so used to homeless but my gf saw lots of graffiti and is worried about gang activity. She then found an article about someone who got shot at the park like 3 years ago and is convinced it's not a good place to live.

We like it because we work in Carlsbad and it's a short uber ride to restaurants and bars and in budget.

Are we being paranoid? Or is the area of East Capistrano an area to stay away from?

Came home from work tonight and started doing homework, noticed this black soot dust was all over my room, like everywhere. I sleep with the window partially open at night and fully open during the day. I live just a couple blocks away from the freeway in fire mountain but this is the first time I’ve seen this. Could it be from Oceanside HS homecoming fireworks last night? Seems kinda far away
