Whether you've lived here for 20 years or you're just down for the summer, come see what's going down in Ocean City!

Help me settle a bet - wasn’t there a Howard Johnson restaurant in Ocean City? I wanna say it was a somewhere downtown around 10th or 12th Street on the ocean block.
I’ve got a solid bartending resume but my current job just cut back on hours for the off season. Looking to pick up part time or full time bartending shifts if anyone knows of anywhere that’s looking instead of cutting back! TIA
My hubby and I have a few extra days off around thanksgiving and are considering taking a trip to OC. What’s it like there in late November? Is there a way of finding out what restaurants will be open? (I know I can google but some show open that aren’t). We’d mainly just wanna do some good seafood and catch some sunrises.
My family payed with my wristbands all weekend and no charges have hit my card. I assume they are delayed. Anyone else have this?
The Buffalo Soldier shrimp is excellent!!!!
Hey there, yall! If anyone lives in the area or went to Oceans Calling, could you give me a brief description of what I should expect at Country Calling, please?
Do we think its going to be oversold? Should I park midtown and walk down to avoid the bus traffic?
Any and all help would be appreciated!
Is anyone else having Comcast issues? We got here last night and most of the boxes in our condo (Carousel) don’t seem to work.
We are going to be in OC this weekend for Country Callling for the first time in a number of years. What are your "must try" and "absolutely do not try" restaurants?
Not looking for sarcastic comments or throwaway answers here. Everywhere needs better help or better politicians, etc.
But I want to know what you feel OC / the eastern shore is missing? Essentially from Bethany down to West OC, what is missing the most to you?
Whether a type of food, a type of service or business, a type of real estate, etc.
Would love to know what you think is “lacking” in the area. And again, looking for legit answers and not a shitting on OC commentary :)
Since y'all were such great help, and I thank you dearly, on fod & drink places near 30th & Baltimore, the Quality Inn, here's the next group of questions...
I'll be in town for the 'Country Calling' festival this weekend. It's in the inlet, I'm on 30th, roughly 2 - 2.75 mile away...
●Are the busses even an option to & from 30th & the inlet? [Heard after shows is a nightmare.]
●Walking, probably 5 miles round trip? (Walking the 'boards' I'm sure there are opportunities to sit, take a brake, grab a beverage.)
●Does O.C. have bikes/scooters just sitting around to rent? [Many bigger cities have these]
●Does the boardwalk tram run during the day or aafter 10pm? {After Labor Day I'm guessing no}
●Uber/Lyft an option? (Probably 'surge' rate increase)
Thank you all again for your time, patience, and advice & info!
Husband and I are going away mid October for our 20th anniversary. We’ve been to OC a million times, both as kids and adults.
I was going to book a room at Princess Royale, but just read some reviews and it has me second guessing myself. We usually don’t care too much about the place we stay, as most of our time is spent out and about. But I was hoping for a “nice” hotel since 20 years seems like a big milestone….
Any suggestions for me? We’ve stayed bayside and Oceanside, downtown and uptown. We are ok with any location.
Hi! I’d like to take my daughter on an overnight trip. Are any boardwalk shops open in the middle of October during the week? Thanks!
I tried my best to recreate this rv park
Where is a good place to go for food & drinks near 30th St. & Baltimore? Will be in town next week for Country Calling music festival & coming in a day early. Need a 'watering hole,' preferably with decent food & people to meet. Staying at the Quality Inn on 30th & Baltimore...any info on this hotel would be great too!
Right?
We want to spend time on the beach this Saturday and understand there’s a large music festival downtown. Any advice on entering town via the Rt 90 bridge and heading down to the north end of the boardwalk vs parking farther north? Will traffic also be fried that far north? Good spots to find parking? Thanks in advance.
I was thinking maybe a venue in OC should host an open mic. Like get a few locals down and have a sign up list for a night of comedy. I tried to find somewhere that has one and haven’t found anything. Does anyone think that would be a good idea?
Hey Team OCMD. Does anybody know if there is trivia tonight somewhere in Berlin, Ocean City, or West Ocean City?
For Halloween, our group of ~4 people usually do a bar crawl, but the DC one has sucked the last few years. It's a crowded mess spending 45 mins getting into a bar and being packed to the gills.
I wanted to try OC this year. Seacrets halloween party posts always look great, although that might just be bias because they're the ones posting it.
Has anyone attended, is it worth it? We normally love Seacrets during the season, just wanted to make sure we weren't gonna drive 2 hours and have it be dead.
Also would it be worth it to maybe hit up some other bars during the day? I know it's off season but wondering if we could make our own bar crawl that Saturday.
